Man, thank you for all the entertainment over the past few years. I’m so glad I found this channel.
Thoroughly enjoyed watching this. None of this annoying music or voice-overs, just the satisfying click of a torque wrench and the sound of a master engineer at work.
ASMR engine assembly 😆
Real relaxing
This is some of the most dialed-in precision work I've ever seen. This is addiction, and this is the best form of what addiction is.
I'm getting this Guy over to the UK next time I Hydrolock my engine! The level of detail and knowledge on the EJ25 is beyond excellent 👌
He's not that precise, calm down.
He did make some mistakes. For example he torqued the rod bolts instead of stretch them. Rod bearing will go if he pushes alot of power through it.
Going to make an ASMR EJ build myself here soon.
Aisin timing kit should have been used. That's another weak point.
Also he forgot to put the water pump hard lines behind the tensioner. Those will be a bitch to install later.
@@saabaru2248arp torques once, not torque to yield like stock
you're talking about precision? you don't use a reduction with a torque wrench. it distorts the torque. you can turn a blind eye to other things, but certainly not to internal engine measures such as connecting rods.
What a good looking motor. Looked like a peaceful day of building
Sincere question from someone who has never done anything like this: Would this actually be doable in a day, if you knew what you were doing? I have watched quite a few engine build videos but it's sometimes hard to judge, especially because you don't know how much has been cut and if every step was included in the video. Just curious how long this would take on average, for someone with at least some experience
In any case, looks like a lot of fun, I can imagine it being therapeutic indeed
This video was exactly what I needed after a stressful week. Just watching a EJ motor get built in silence. Magical. (Minus the gates timing kit!) Thanks for this!
One of the most satisfying videos to watch
Devin, thanks for all the videos over the years. Glad to see you still enjoying the builds. Take care and best wishes for you, Bobby and your families. Peace bro and live it up!
That built engine is pure metal eye candy! Thanks for all that you do in your videos Devin!
I don’t think I’ve ever came across someone so motivated and dedicated in my 25 years on this earth. Truly inspiring and I mean that from the bottom of my heart.
So very Chad of you
Best type of video straight work no talking
Didn’t know I needed this in my life, I enjoy all your videos but this was awesome! Thank you!
So satisfying. Thanks Devin!🫡🫡👌🏽🔥🔥
One of the best videos i have ever watched.
Hands down 10/10.
So relaxing. May God continue to bless you @devin
This is totally my ASMR. Just quite background with the sounds of assembly and the tools used.
Excelent work Dev. this is so exciting ! congrats man!
This is a skilled man , I don’t know anyone else works as hard as this dude
after a long day in the workshop, this was peaceful to watch lol the irony of it being an engine assembly in a workshop 😅🥹🥹
I needed to see this to motivate me to get my engine off the stand and back into my foz. Thanks ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Quality all the way. Great attention to detail
Thanks I need this…..and can’t wait to be ripping this beast in New Jersey ….awesome build and content
A huge fan of boxer engine. One of the most interesting concepts about cars engine in my opinion. Congrats for the work! Regards from Brazil. 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
Looking at this engine.... an people are saying that an EV is not environmentally friendly to produce when the fact is that there are over 2000 parts for an ICE and around 30 parts for an EV Motor. Nice job on building the engine
totally focused on the task good for you devin
Hi Devin I feel you should do a video of all the parts required for a engine rebuild including all seals and gaskets
No words needed!!!!! 💯🔥🔥🔥🔥🤘🏻👊🏻 (Insert first bump sounds effect) 😁
Sooo clean! Lovin the build brother! ✨🤙🏼
You do not become a wizard over nite..
Great videos Devin Niemela !!!
super relaxing to see all the assembly 🙌🏽
Wow that was great to see. Thanks. Originally a Ford RS Escort guy who rebuilt and modded his 1.6l Pinto on a Mk 2 RS Mexico then moved to the original Mk 3 Escort turbo, before switching to a 1999 Impreza WRX Turbo in Switzerland and in 2013 to a WRX STi and then to an Auto XV Hybrid after a stroke in 2019 - I enjoyed this immensely but was a bit confused by how the Gudgeon pins and surclips were inserted - very strange
Devin, would be cool if you made a whole series of videos like this for each and every 4-banger 👍
Tremendous quality of video, congrats!!
Something about assembling an ej257 gets me every time. This inspires me😂
No talking just a master at work. ✅
That’s a top quality video! Asmr. Really cool Devin.
These ASMR engine build videos are 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Always good to see my Boi do his thing
Great job, always enjoy watching your builds! Have you ever thought about building a MazdaSpeed 3?
This would be sick I just finished my 2013 Mazda speed 3 build car is making 632hp took months but it’s finally done and drive able.
@@toothpicka1468Dang that’s awesome man! I’m working on rebuilding my RX-8 Rn. Parts just came in today!
But I I’m interested in getting a new daily. So I’ve been eyeballing the speed 3. Lots of aftermarket support for them too!
@@modernblitz thanks man good luck with your build. I’ve been a Honda and Subaru guy pretty much since I started. I have no idea why I slept on the speed 3 for so long. People says it’s expensive but my built motor is a 2.5l. Spent $300 on it out of a junk yard ford fusion everything said and done costed me 7k.
The no talkie talk vid is almost meditation for guys
Que gozada de motor y que gozada de mecánico, limpio, ordenado y siguiendo toda la secuencia de montaje paso a paso y comprobando todos los ajustes. Perfecto.
So satisfying. So captivating!
Very cool build looks bulky, also The torque to ft lbs wrench looks legit 🏎🏎
such a special video i want to own one of your builds so badly top tier effort
Happy victory and viewer appreciation ❤
one of my favorite things to do in life, watch your content.
This man doesn't play around!!!! 👌 content
Neither one of us said a word for those 19 mins. it was beautiful.
I can watch this all day
I'm obsessed with this, I'd be living a dream if I could do this all day every day.
Thank you for such a satisfying video. You're such a an inspiration. How did it cost for building this entire engine (including parts and engine block)
they really are cool little engines.
Im speechless. wow Devin, mad props man.. THANKS FOR THE ASMR!! Hopefully we get more of those too.. God bless🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼💪🏼💪🏼🔥🔥🥵🥵❤️
Absolute perfection a pleasure to watch 👌
Excellent work..so relaxing to watch...well done..
I have never seen a boxer engine apart. This was educational for me. When you were installing the retainers for the wrist pin I was thinking " Holy nerves of iron, Batman, if he drops that he might have to take the crank case apart."
Killin it buddy. I love the progression. Keep up the great content. One thing I’ve noticed that might contribute to a leaking rear main is squeezing it in place rather than driving it in place. Not for sure on it though. #shebuilt
Always doin great work! 🤙🤙
Devin is the goat with content 🔥🔥
Great fan of the ASMR videos, keep it up!
always a pleasure to watch!!!❤
Sweetness. Thats going to be a unit right there.
Brilliant job, most people don't realise what goes in to an engine.
I finished my build not that long ago. I regret spending the extra bucks on forged internals and a billet block. After realizing that no matter what you do, the EJ engine cannot be made reliable, I concluded that this is a labor of love. Oh and a money pit that the wife does not at all enjoy 😂
well done .... put it on a stand in your house pure art 👍👍👍👍👍👍
This is wildly impressive.
The gates timing kit is no good. They supply Chinese bearings with the kit. Aisin kit uses oem NTN bearings
Some of the extra tippy-taps on parts to get the sound were a riot 🤣
You truly are the man
Amazing work what a good looking motor
Amazing build bro
Stay putting out videos. Ima stay watching it.
Never watched a Subaru engine being built before … I was so confused on how’d you get the wrist pins in with the rods installed on the crank and in the block lol very interesting design
So satisfying keep it up
❤️ the ASMR style videos
Man please make a video on how exactly you do all of your bearing clearances, would love a more in depth explanation on all of that
Beautiful work, bro
excellent video: did i miss how the conrods and pistons went together?
This car is going to be badass! Would love to drive it
Wow it looks ready to rip up the asphalt
Super cool I always enjoy these
pure entertaining video
Beautiful building 👌
I'd like to see a list of the specialty tools that were need
That when i told you was a year after they come out had diffrent setup though big 3 inch pipe turbo whole nine yards 6:55
This actualy is a good ASMR video..
great build
now, where can I see this engine in action?
Que belleza de video 👏🏼
Bro, I literally wanted to keep watching 😮💨😫😫
Мужик, крутое видео однозначно лайк.) Не знаю почему, но мне очень заходит подобный формат видео.)
Very neat work.
U are fire buddy awesome channel 💪👍
0:33 if this one goes like the last one, it’s gonna be amazing….. but I will actually miss your explanations that you do on almost every episode.
What did you calculate for the torque in the beginning? Would you explain to me? How did you you come up with it?
I wanted to know if you think something is wrong with supporting the head of your torque wrench when tightening fasteners? Do you feel you're getting an accurate torque when you don't support the head? Especially when you use an extension and let it pull to one side at an angle?
I ask this because I noticed through the entire engine assembly that you are making it a point not to touch the torque wrench head. At times, you would be supporting the wrench, and just before it reached final torque, you would remove your hand completely.
I see "soon in the future" oil leakage opportunities... I mean i get your vibe, too much RTV aint good for sure, but it seems that you over do it on the other end of the spectra.
Hope it doesn't leak.
Damn man! I love it. ❤
Awesome. more videos like this and I might actually subscribe. 🙂
Did you install the o-ring under the pickup?
Rod bolts don't get torqued, they get stretched to a specific length
She’s a ripper
Great good work❤
good job man 👍💪
