I'm glad it was helpful! I try to research a lot before filming the video so you can get the most accurate information. Thank you so much for noticing, and I hope to continue to provide more content that helps.
I just broke my needle, doing a simple project and I now feel confident in changing out my needle, for the first time! Thank you! (I hope I remember where I put the little driver, and needles!) loll Thank you so much!
Thank you so much. My book says only one screw. I was in tears...no lie. You may never see this but from the bottom of my heart I thank you do very much. 1 hour and 15 minutes to change needles. Oh hallelujah 😅
Thank you... got my needles changed quickly and easily. Do you have any knowledge of how to insert the stitch finger?? I pulled it out my machine and now I'm not sure how to re-insert it properly. There is really not a lot of information about this model of serger out there and I'm getting quite frustrated. I am so thankful for people like you who do informative videos like this one. :)
Hi NanatoHannah, thanks for watching and the kind words. I haven't had to remove the stitch finger as of yet. But I did a little research for you. Based on the operational manual of the Brother 1034DX Serger on page 23, it mentions on how to remove the stitch finger. As I haven't done this myself, I would believe it would be the reverse action of what is mentioned. Also there is a RUclips video that shows how it is done for a 1034D but not the DX. Not sure if it is the same. Someone uploaded an image of page 23 section of the manual. You can find it here in case you don't have the manual. ibb.co/L1YtVQS . I hope this helps. Wishing you the best. - Nancy ❤
@@eskylamanriquez7414 There is no reason to feel stupid. Mistakes happen and we are not born knowing everything. The most important thing is that we help each other. I know I make mistakes all the time. Thanks for watching my video. I hope you were able to replace your needles. Take care. - Nancy ❤
Thanks you for the video! It was great loved the close up! I hope your next video would be how to change the blades I think I'll be needing to change soon that scares me! 😬
Which needle system does this machine use? I understand about sizes; needle system is something different. Most domestic machines use 130/705H; does this machine use the same?
What about the bottom needles? Somehow mine broke. Maybe they aren't even actually needles, but they look like needles and are below the top needles. They help wrap the thred.
No, it did come with the machine. You can check your manual that should list everything included with your machine. But you can also just pick up a small screw driver at your local hardware store.
Hi, I've never had the needle guard fall off my machine, so I'm unable to guide you on how to put it back. However, I did some research for you. I found information on how to adjust it in a Brother 1034DX Serger service manual, which you can find by googling. Also based on what I read, to simply adjust needle guard requires precision to avoid touching the needle. My suggestion is to take it to a reputable authorized Brother sewing machine repair shop for assistance. I hope this helps and wish you success with this task.
Hello, I was trying to lose the needle, and when I screw it out to much, I lost the little screw, where can I buy that small screw that holds up the needle
@davidsoto1902 Not sure which one you are referring to, but if you go to Amazon and type in 1034dx replacement screws you will see all the different items you can get. Hope this helps!
Hi Whitney! Thanks for watching my video. I haven't had to replace my blades yet. But based on my research you have to double check the sizes. The reason is because there are some blades that are slightly longer out there and will not fit the 1034DX. The upper blade is Brother part # XB1687001. And the lower blade is Brother part # XB1459001. I added an option that should work to my Amazon shop. Here's the link: amzn.to/3HT7XSU . I hope this helps. Disclaimer: I may receive a tiny sum from purchases made through my Amazon shop. Try them on right away to make sure that these work for you. Best of luck.
Hi. Thanks for watching my video. You can see what the hexagonal driver looks like at the 3:19 mark of the video or you can use this link: ruclips.net/video/FTU6aYv5dOo/видео.htmlsi=GzNlSqMUrwT_y2pm&t=199 . It should have come with your machine. Thank you for your comment and if you have any other questions, checkout our FB group ( you can find the link in the video description). - Nancy ❤️

I use tweezer with a grip on then it is hard to tight squeeze. Good to know about the uneven part of the needles. Thank for showing us.
I am glad you enjoyed it. I hope to make more videos with my serger. Stay tuned!

My sewing machine didn’t come with any tools. Did you have to buy your screw driver separately?
No, it did come with the machine. You can check your manual that should list everything included with your machine. But you can also just pick up a small screw driver at your local hardware store.
AWESOME
Thanks 🤗 You are awesome too! - Nancy ❤️

Do you have a video on how to change feet on this machine? I learn best by watching videos...lol
I will put it on my list of videos to make. More to come soon!
I didn’t see the picture of the driver
