  • Warm-up Exercises before Workout are to increase the temperature of the muscles, build up the heart rate, and therefore the blood flow to the working muscles.
    Warming the muscles and joints decreases stiffness and makes the soft tissues more pliable, enhancing the free, coordinated movement that strenuous activity requires.
    A proper warm-up before workout can markedly improve total oxygen consumption during maximal exercise, and blunt the blood lactate response during high-intensity performance.
    Many of us have a busy schedule and when we do find some time for working out it’s tempting to jump right into your workout to maximize the time you’ve got. But when you skip a warm-up and just go from 0 to 60, you’re setting your body up to be less efficient-and potentially end up with an injury.
    In order to prepare your body for a workout and prevent injury, it’s necessary to warm up.

    Can we do Pre and post workout same stretching ???

      Hello Bhattji!
      You should do Dynamic warm up exercise which mimic your main exercise. Like walking and jogging before running, shoulder movement with some push ups before heavy chest workout, bodyweight squat movement before performance weighted squat.
      Static stretching, you should do, after completion of your workout which helps you recovering faster and also maintaining your mobility and flexibility.
      Static stretching (for extended period) before workout may hamper your performance.
      Final message:
      1. Dynamic stretches and movement before workout (which mimic the movement of your main Wokrout)
      2. Static stretching after workout

      Do Static stretching ONLY in post workout. Do Warm-ups ONLY in Pre Workout.
