Surely the cost of all that tin foil you need to buy to wrap your stupid meal up for the dishwasher negates any savings from not using your oven for half an hour. The gas bills have a set minimum you wont get a bill for $1 if you don't use anything.

Scientifically, that water should not last that long, if she is constantly re boiling it. This means if she still thinks she is using the same amount every time without topping up, at least 50% of that water cannot be water. Water boils. It turns into steam. I can see the steam leaving her pot. WHERE IS IT GOING. WHAT IS STAYING BEHIND.

There is no saving patrick. If he would leave, she would find him, chop him up into little pieces, use the bucket of piss, the sauce from leftovers and some other gross stuff and make lasagna to feed to her daughter, teaching her a lesson that if she runs away or uses the shower for more than 2 minutes, she would face a similar fate.

Best way to save on your water bill is move into a house where the water company thinks the pub next door is paying for it and the two properties are somehow connected. That's what I did.
The amount of effort she spends to do all of that probably saves her about 30 bucks or less a month when she could work an hour extra a couple of days in the month

As someone who has been forced to live very frugally for a long time, this woman is out of her gourd. It’s like she heard some basic concepts around reusing and frugality and came to her own otherworldly conclusions.
Unless doing this is somehow rapidly creating an Ivy League college fund for her child and an early retirement strategy, I don’t see the point. The excess medical bills that this lifestyle will incur would probably negate it anyway.

What upsets me the most is the time that they’re spending trying to save money, literally any side hustle would net more money than any effort for these methods. Like growing a produce garden could save tons for such a small initial investment.

She has probably saved about £5 on lightbulbs
£50 on grocery per month
£10 on gas bills - £1 for the dishwasher per month
£5 for cotton buds per year
£30 for the shower per month
Totalling this is around 360 + 5 + 108 + 5 + 600 per year which is £1,078. or around £2.95 per day.
If she has done this for 10 years she would have saved around £10,780.
Which might seem like a big amount but looking how bad her life is and how much stuff she misses out on, she might as well
just work and extra hour or two a week and save even more money.
By this logic, she saves around $20.65 a week, minimum wage in the US is $7.25 an hour, so even just working on minimum wage she would only have to work an extra 3 or so hours a week to make up for what she's 'saving'
Especially since cooking the lasanga in the dishwasher😆takes an extra hour.
