  • As relaxing and soothing as Epsom Salt baths are, what does science have to say? Thomas DeLauer (aka. Mr. Mineral) digs in and discusses what recent studies suggest might really be happening to your body during an Epsom Salt Bath.

I have had rheumatoid arthritis for 20+ years. If I take a bath without epsom salts I can barely get myself out of the tub. I usually have a cup of epsom salts in as hot a bath as I can bear. Not only can I get myself out of the bath, but I can work the next day (construction) with far less pain!

Use 15lbs and if you think it’s too much for the tub than use 8-10lbs it detox’s the both and go to a naturopathic dr or bio electrical magnetic master but you’ll have to be on a diet so that’s your call and they’re not really easy to find

Salts are substances produced by the reaction of an acid with a base. A salt consists of the positive ion (cation) of a base and the negative ion (anion) of an acid. So yes, Epsom salt is indeed a salt...

Feels good and has worked well for achiness for years and that is good enough. Can't say any of that is ruined with or without it being through the mechanisms that lots of people have thought were responsible. I can tell the difference in getting different results from different bath additives too. So I continue to use the ones that make me feel good. There is probably also some sulfur reaction in cells from the heat of a crazy hot bath I would think. But again who knows?

Well, might be magnesium sulfate (epsom). I read only 4 percent is absorbed from magnesiumoxide and 50 percent is absorbed from magnesiumcitrate. Latter is quite expensive. Epsom is very cheap, 4 dollar per kilo. Don't know the absorption quote though. Sulfate should help detoxifying aluminium from chemtrails. You must detox to keep your brain guys!

Good morning JigsawHealthTV, thanks for your video. I am a frequent user of Exsom Salt and I must say that it really works. I take 1 tablespoon of Epsom Salt for laxative every Sunday morning and it does exactly what I want it to do. It effectively cleans my colon for about three hours and my energy level is sky-high. I just got Tendonitis in my right hand from doing a repetitive action over a three-month span and there is a voice in my head that commanded me to use Epsom salt in hot water, as hot as I can bear it and I did. I visited a doctor who deals with this problem after an ultrasound confirmed that I had Tendonitis, and he recommended that I took a shot (needle) for the problem. I refused and resorted to using the Epsom salt and in three months I was able to use my hand again. The problem was in my right hand so you can imagine the pain I felt when I had to use it. I just want to say that, Epsom salt works, it's cheap and effective. Please also note that the Epsom salt for baths is different from the laxative that you can get at drug stores, and it works without any cramps at all. I also used to get very frequent muscle pain, which is now completely gone. I will continue to use the Epsom salt, but I also take Calcium Magnesium as a supplement. Thanks for your video.

I frequently use it to reduce bloating, but l also stay in the tub at least an hour. Example, l took a 2 hr bath last night in water as hot as l could bear. Afterwards I hopped on the scale and was down 3 lbs. My skin was very soft, body and muscles felt relaxed and my tummy felt good, aka no more bloating. I also slept like a baby and am feeling refreshed this morning.
**l enjoy baths so l stay long in the tub and watch educational videos or listen podcasts.
