    0:35 -1:10 Do not eat multiple small meals throughout the day don’t eat snacks between meals.
    2:11 When food is in stomach bag keep activity level low. Usually takes 1 & a half to 2 & a half hours to digest food.
    3:12 Must eat water not drink it. Fruits
    4:25 Don’t drink while eating
    6:40 The way you sit is important Never stand while eating it’s better to sit cross legged. Don’t open legs.

    I married asecond wife , and we were quarelling about her not preparing 3 meals a day, n trust you me, she cant remember the last time she was sick!! I lived with her two sisters and the same applies.! I Look around my neighbourhood and realized, those people who cant afford 3meals , naturally practice interminent fasting, and they rarely visit hospitals! ... for that reasons, am changing ..thanks so much for this.       she kept you healthy without realising it. what a blessing. i once did such one meal a day diet, not for reasons sadguru says, rather, out of other concerns. needing to lose weight, not looking good shape despite being young, etc.
      everyone around me were like i lost so much weight, too skinny, i was not too skinny, i just wasn't as fat or chubby as them or as i used to be.
      but i felt the best, later on i gave that up, went back to eating 3, maybe even 2 snack time, so 5 times eating in total per day.
      what do u know, i started getting deficiencies.
      i can't explain people i didn't have deficiency when i didn't eat, i ate and got deficiency, they'll mock me, laugh at me.
      but that is what happened.
      people only think deficiency happens when certain nutrient not eaten enough. not many think maybe we eat enough nutrients, we just don't digest and process it properly, maybe we pollute the digesting process hence it won't work well, hence it won't absorb nutrient and use it, it wastes it as excretion.
      but when i ate so less, only once a day, enough calories in one meal to maintain weight even, but digestive system was so fine. even if i didn't chew well, it worked it's best, cuz it's not polluted the rest of time.

    As Americans, one of the first "food education" we are taught is "breakfast is the most important meal". Yet eating breakfast makes me want to eat all day!!!! And take a nap. When I follow what feels excellent for me, it us one meal- dinner. Around 7-8 p.m. I had noticed that over the last few years especially dinner knocked me out, and I did not appreciate going to sleep immediately. Another spiritual/physical expert (in my loving opinion), Dr. Mandell advised walking 100 steps after meals. I've been doing this a few days already, and I go to bed s little while later, NOT crashing on the couch. Mindfulness & listening to your body. I feel wonderful at 69- no scrips, no fear of my body failing me. Apparently I 've been starving cancer cells and never knew.

    Please bring this commentary to Sadhguru: I cannot eat otherwise than Sadhguru tells out. Since a long time, without knowing about him, I had to learn that I cannot eat like "normal persons" . I suffered 65 years of my life with belly ache. I grew up in a country where people eat bred with butter and mermelade and drink milk. I suffered from swollen belly and aches. Until so many years later I discovered that I cannot digest modern bred with modern boosted gluten, I do not at all digest milk and cheese, but suffered from it 65 years. For my 70th birthday I did my yoga teacher certificate, everything has changed. Me too I am fine only with "carots and apples" as I always say. But yes, witout knowing about Sadhguru, I eat like he does. And I live without aches and people say I look so lively and young. Thank you Sadhguru for this important message 🙏

    He speaks the truth. We in USA are so dubbed with ads, that we as consumers are lied to often by the food industry. One thing to keep in mind is to buy a many foods you can WITHOUT labels! Think veggies, fruits, eats, eggs and cheese. This is a very helpful video.

    I got so sick when i thought i needed a nutritionist to lose weight many years ago. My meal plan was 5 meals(2 small and 3 big meals). Breakfast, lunch and dinner. Contrary to what ive been doing for years. Only eating lunch and dinner. I could never eat breakfast. This excess of food made me sick, unable to digest etc. When i ditched it more then 15yrs ago went back to lunch and dinner only. To be honest, my digestion is very regular. Mornings without fail, i have bowel movement. Daily, same time on the clock. Im over 40, and I still naturally cannot eat breakfast or eat before 1pm. Like a clock 1pm my stomach wants food. Then im good till 6pm when we have dinner. Daily, dont even have to follow any diet. There is truth in listening to your body on a conscious level. Be it breakfast and dinner or lunch only. Listen to your body.

      @@leratogoge6649 Food is not proper can make u sick...try foods that are light on stomach. And never have over spicy dish at night...also avoid dairy products ...they look simple but damage liver in long rum along with sweets and red meat

      This is the first time I heard that eating stops the elimination. I should be waiting for that to happen before 'breakfast'. I wasn't paying attn with days between movements, but I think going first has been easier... Peace and Health

    I did not want to click on this but I'm so in love with doing so. The one with drinking while eating, I've came across older generation that did not drink water while they have eaten. And the one with filing the car but it does not want to go!

    I eat only raw living foods, fruits and veggies, nuts and seeds, lots of water, I only eat between 8 am and 2 pm after 2 I fast, this is how I feel best ❤

      I feel it's more of an emotional hunger to eat continually. Most of the time we eat for fun or because we're bored or to enjoy the taste of food and not for the benefit which is the main reason we EAT.

    People in India specially in villages they still have 2 meals a day and sit on the floor with leg cross. Thank you sir for such an amazing info, while seeing this video I could recall everything that my grandfather and my day use to say me. My grandfather always use to say me to eat as slow as possible and chew the food completely. I still follow that and chew each bite at least more than 25 times.

    Guys, go easy on the editing please! Sadhguru's voice itself is very soothing and his words are enlightening. Just keep it simple! Don't add stock clips of meaningless animations every 2 seconds and destroy the viewing experience. And the background music too. We are not children, you don't have to show a clip acting out for every word in the video. I really want to watch and learn from the video but viewing the video is overstimulating and taking away from the experience of how it's meant to be, with clips changing every 2 seconds. I will just try listening to it.

    Digestion starts in the mouth. Chewing food properly mixes it with digestive enzymes in the mouth. Your stomach doesn't have teeth. Not chewing food means your system is working harder to break it down using up more energy than is necessary. I always visualise my mouth as a blender liquidising the food. Of course it won't turn into liquid, but I find through this simple visualisation that I'm chewing the food so well and feel amazing after every meal😮. I didn't know how good eating felt. I really mean it. Try it. I haven't had painful hunger pangs for years, I just know when to eat. Fasting is also great, but know what you're doing. Fasting is not starving.

      Modern school isnt for learning. Its for breaking childrens spirits and creating a dependent, subserviant, stupid population that tolerates the current state of society.
      They arent teaching anything important. Past the 3 R's, the rest is propaganda, can be learned on ones own or under a personal teacher, if you want a specialty.

    I live in Hawaii, which is the most geographically separate and distant state, and Hawaii is no longer a mainly agricultural state that it used to be. So nearly all food you find in local stores is imported food, and because of the cost of travel, it is the most expensive food in this country.

    Sadguru gave all excellent advices! Water is also food. It is a food which should fill the stomach after every other food gets digested in the stomach. I alternate like that after eating every non-water food. I used to drink 4.5-5.5 liters of water daily, but after age of 70, i take min. 3L of water daily. This practice from age of 51 helped me ward off Diabetes and Knee Joint Pains so far!

    Wow. This is an excellent video. I consciously choose my food and generally follow intermittent fasting. On days i will have a big celebration meal i only eat once that day and might have a longer fast till the next. Watching this video affirms why i feel so much better after doing these diet practices

    GReat video. The boxed chicken soup I ate 25 min ago has me sleepy, but not sleepy enough to not consciously absorb Sadhguru's words here. Going to try to maintain the gap between meals of 2 hours, and try to not drink water during meals but before and after.

    I noticed one thing that helped me a lot every breakfast is eating an orange and olive oil or just a date with some fermented milk. My day is full of evergy and i feel happy with that. I just eat 2 spoons of the olive oil with a little bit of bread. Also in my moroccan culture they advise us to sit on the ground with the leg crossed and to fast at leat 1 or two days a week and also to drink sitting not standing. Love from morocco

    There are now a lot of so called nutritional experts here in the U.S. advocating the KETO CARNIVORE DIET which I have difficulty understanding and accepting to be good. What can you can you say about this compared to mostly PLANT BASED DIET? Your much needed response will be very much appreciated. Thank you very much in advance, Sir.

      Keto diet is way better, it’s great! I went from 192 to 163-165. Meat, vegetables, rice, fruits but two meals a day and that’s it. Only two and the rest is fasting in between

    Whar if I eat frim 12 til 6pm fasting frame is this good. And drink water 30 min before I eat and drink a pure juice or green tea 30 min after my meals. Eating 2 times a day.

    1-no estar tragando entre comidas jaja
    2-no tomar nada al estar tragando mejor comer agua
    3-tragar sentado de piernas cruzadas
    4-tragar cada 8 horas (Sadghuru traga una vez al día pero traga bien)
    5-mastica 24 veces lo que te estas tragando, hasta hacer una pasta
    6-No es necesario hacer "buenos hábitos" al tragar, solo comer conscientemente, comida que ayude al cuerpo, la que uno note que permite al cuerpo estar ágil y alerta, significa que no le pesa digerirla.

    I practiced intermittent fastings, but now suffering with gastric problem... throat irritation on and off and this makes trouble to my work ñ life .. any solution? Tq🤝

      Does not agree with you. Stick to 3 meals cut out sugar processed food and eat real food, savoury breakfast not sweet. No snacks and dinner at 5 and no eating till breakfast. Eat balanced with enough protein slow carbs and vegetable

      Take some diluted apple cider vinegar on an empty stomach before your meal(s). I love mine with carbonated mineral water.

    How on earth do you only manage 2 - 3 hours of sleep?! I wish I could get by with less. I’ve always contributed it to the fact that I have such high energy and that’s how I go throughout the day that I need 7-8 hrs of sleep at least or I just can’t focus to do anything because I feel tired. Would love to know your thoughts on that.

      Probably comes from years and years of practice and the fact that he doesn't have to use his brain the way we all do. Not undermining what he does. Still the everyday routine of an established yogic is far cry from a commoner, someone who has to go to a job, study, cook and take care of home, etc.

    loneliness is the root cause of overeating, second is stress relief & demanding work..i eat less and more fruit but i drink antidepressants and sedatives coz of extreme depression and a physically demanding work😢😢

    Yes some people when they eat like all the food will be gone tomorrow. I never eat in a Buffet because it’s not like a normal eating , people eat unconsciously and it’s really hard to see that I want to throw up.

    There are good and bad habits! We can change habits! we should develop a good habits! habits are essential for life, they can help or hinder our life. We have to examine if guru is correct. We should listen but have to make own mind.
