      Can't be serious, that was such a disappointing performance by the men in white, after such a great world cup campaign, it's like no one in the team knew how to tackle.
      Fiji is trying to play with T1 nations, this is a set back to that plan.
      But it is a good learning experience for the squad and only upwards from here.

    Can we all agree that the Reiko at centre experiment has run its course? Billy Proctor showed his class here tonight - alongside several phenomenal Super seasons w the Canes. It’s time we put a true centre AT centre. That isn’t to say Reiko doesn’t still have a huge role to play within this team, but I feel he has been playing out of position for too long. Call me a tradionalist, but a Centre should be abbrasive, confrontational and challenging the gain line relentlessly. Like the Ma'a Nonu's and Bundee Akee's of the world. Reiko is a great distributor and often catches mid-field defenders off-guard with his turn of pace. Those opportunites arent frequent at test level, rendering him pretty ineffectual a lot of the time. He also gets bullied up-front by often much larger and more physical opposites.

    • @Youllneverfindmezx
      @Youllneverfindmezx 2 месяца назад +4

      Honestly as someone who started watching the ABs again after many years, the experimental lineups don’t make any sense. Especially against an opponent like England, games like this should’ve been the chance for others to show and Proctor definitely looks solid. Should be playing the best available at their positions. I was smh when they benched Barrett vs England considering he’s one of the best players and he was benched because of super rugby performances which is irrelevant at test level. Immediately he comes on both games and the team looks way better. If this is how the team been going I can see why we blew 2019 and 2023 world cups.

      Fiji needs a forwards coach to revolutionise things. They have no shortage of big, strong and skilled ball players, but the ABs stifled key possession and momentum with their work in the line outs and scrums. I think we had quite a few unforced knock-ons this game, but since we're dominating Fiji in the scrums - we get to regain possession and go at it again.

    If all blacks added fijis offloading support play skills to their arsenal that would be 🔥i still think the way to beat rush defence comes down to how fast 9 or whomever can recycle that ball and get it out quick enough. I hope robertson tells them to offload and support more.

    Congrats Nzl.Was the ref Dickinson?.I believe so.In Ireland’s second test he was told in his ear that C Blade was onside and had not knocked on the ball.It was Sasha Freiburg who touched the ball.He penalised Ireland and gave SA a penalty from which Pollard scored.Despite her hearing from the TMO the Irish player was onside.The ref did not over turn it.Any thoughts on why tries can be overturned and not penalty decisions?

    The mentality to play well against the all blacks needs to be beyond normal. Fiji played club rugby. They were just not Test level material. It was as they were afraid to play...no heart. Got schooled.

      Given Fiji's form last year in the RWC, it should have at least been competitive, but looks like they've regressed here. Could be a range of factors at play though. As a Fijian I just hope we're not going backwards from the progress we've made in the last few years.

    Whoever hiried that American lady who sang the New Zealand anthem? I had to turn down the volume. But what I like was after the anthems when Fiji did their Cibi, and the Mighty All Blacks did their haka as well. Ardie Savea was soo badass leading the Haka! 😎

    I thought the All-Blacks Gave a good account of themselves, We all played well, the Stand out players played really well, the Newcomers were well up with the play, and the young guy (number 21) was really outstanding, with his running , Passing, & tackling. I think he will be the Future number 9. ------- Fiji were very good, another 40 mins & they would have got a couple more tries. Well done to the American Crowd who did a Mexican Wave

So of course the debutants and other players would play well in this game.They have been training and waiting for their chance to shine. We all just hope that this type of performance can be shown even against the top level teams. All Black everything!🖤💪. Well done Flying Fijians!Keep it up!👍

    Why are Fijians build for Rugby but can’t win in major tests . They are darlings of the shortened code but struggle with the full version . Everyone’s favourite second team .

    • @worldrugby12
      @worldrugby12 2 месяца назад

      That is actually a genuine question, and I've also asked myself why is that. I guess it comes down to the fact that 7s gives the opportunity for one-on-one situations because of the fewer players, which doesn't happen as often in Union. Fijians will win more than half those battles because of their size, speed and power.
      Another difference is, 7s has fewer technicalities and is a lot more simplified compared to 15s.
      In 15s, there are greater intricacies and nuances in set-plays, which also makes it difficult to get those one-on-one scenarios like in 7s.
      There is a lot more emphasis on structural plays, positional plays, competing for possession and tactical decision-making, making the game a bit more intricate and multifaceted.
