You nailed it! The key is using OBS or other recording software to check how much gain you need. Just bought Dynamite and now it so noise free :) Thank you. BTW I think this is the best video on the subject I ever watched!
Hell yeah! That's great to hear! 🔥 I always found the meters in the GoXLR software to be a bit temperamental, so agreed, checking in your recording/broadcast software is the best way 🔥
Thank you for the video! It seemed like mine bugged out a bit? Since the noise gate wouldn't do anything. But after a restart it worked as normally. It was a bit tricky for me to get it to not pick up my keyboard when just typing but I managed to do it when I put the gate threshold at -39db. I appreciate the video! I checked a couple others and I felt this one so far is the one who helped me the most!
Appreciate the kind words!! Yeah, the noise gate is a bit fiddly sometimes depending on your keyboard switches and other factors going on in your room so you need to play around with it to get it right for you.. but im glad you got it setup in a way you like now! 🔥
Thank you! Glad it was useful!! Its a great microphone but obviously needs different settings than other popular mics oit there. Hopefully this can help other creators too 🔥
where do you find the audio mixer on the web for this i had it before and cant find the name of the software.. but amazing video Lot better understanding this...
u just fixed my background noise! thanks it sounds great you think the goxlr will get a update at some point? or is it death death? because i dont like interfaces like the wavexlr so i dont want to switch
Glad it helped!!! 🥰 The GoXLR actually has an official update coming out soon, The beta Is available in their discord right now to test. Its adding submixes and a couple of other things, so defo go check it out if you can 🔥
@@ajsarsfieldHi sir! I’m about thinking buying 1 Go XLR Mini tomorrow. Do you think it is worth because of the recent update? Hoping to here from you. 😊
I just ordered the Maono pd400x after watching your review (excellent work) im new to these sort of things im starting up a youtube channel about woodworking and such. what mic mixer do you recommend for under $100 to best take advantage of the xlr connector on the mic and dialing it in?
Theyre basically the same as they were in SM7B Goxlr video I made.. BUT I eventually changed the compressor to be a little less strong.. I went from 5.6:1 ratio to 4:1 instead And -20db to -18 db threshold Obviously you won't need to have as much make up gain when you do this so make sure you're still hitting between -5db and -10db in audio meters
The "no filter" sounded a lot more pleasant, just as intelligible, and less harsh by the end of it, ironically. Listening to this on ATH-AD900x, without any EQ @ -30dB
Feedback I'm not sure about 🤔 but the "background" noise might be my PC fans.. I'm in a tiny room (8x8ft) and they're honestly a nightmare to deal with.. I have to add noise supression to my mic butthe GoXLR doesn't have one built in 🙃
What do I do if my pod mic is working in discord but not showing it’s connected to the go xlr? The xlr cable didn’t show that it turned on the mic so I had to get a usb-a to c adapter so it will plug into the computer
With a GoXLR?? Rode Podmic if you can afford it, Its much better than the Fifine IMO and also what I've been using for ALL of my own content for the last few months. Even though I own an SM7B 🤔
Yeah, with a goxlr mini goxlr mic and rode are both beautiful mics, and the same price, and it is not clear which one to choose, you as I understand you have not had experience with goxlr mic ?@@ajsarsfield
Do you know if the Rode Podmic and the Rode Podmic white have the same stuffing? It's just that the white one came out much later than the classic one.
If the stuffing is the same, I don't like the sound of Podmic from other authors, but I like the sound of your white Rode Podmic, maybe it's just your voice is so good, or the stuffing is different after all @@ajsarsfield
Did you know they just released a new update a couple of days ago?? Added submixes to the software now! Its currently in beta but you can get it from the Tc helicon discord
@@ajsarsfield I don't care, bought the product, found out they closed their door and laid all their employees off without notice.....that means there is no support from the company........no replacement, no warranty........you are on your own, depending on open source for support..........I would never recommend this product.........They are still selling them on Amazon, I sent mine back as soon as I it figured out
Thank you! Gonna try to mess around with my settings! Finally a video that’s straight to the point
so is it good to buy this unit again and invest?

Beat me to it!! 🔥
Yeah!
it's the OBS Audio meters but any program that records audio Should have something like that to watch while you make changes
Nice! Are you planning on making a vid about a duo pc setup with the rodecaster duo? Would LOVE to see that

You could easily transfer these settings to OBS or othe software too!
