    basically that's it. I do definitely recommend it on every Z that does not have to go through smog tests and whatnot.
    Just beware the rerouting of the turbo water outlet goes differently on the back of the car as you have to complete the water cycle it has to run through.

    yep. removing the egr completely shouldn't be a problem.

    can i remove the egr completely? i live in florida no emissions law but i was wondering if i could . imma gunna put a dry sump in my car to solve the oil blow back problems so that should in theory solve my pcv valves and eleminate them as my pump will be dropping oil from the top down.

    @thirdeyedopeness The point of doing all of that is to eliminate future problem points in the engine, the simpler it is the less chance for it to run rough. Plus when you get to pull the plenum, for whatever reason, it's much easier to pull out and drop back in. About the spark plugs, you're right, it will only take a certain kind, and depending on where you live and what octane gas you use, a different temperature.
    If you make a vid, I'd be glad to help you put it back together...
    laterZ!

    also what would be a main cause for a slight oil leak on this car? i havent had time to jack my car up and look under yet but im starting to think im in the early stages of a failing head gasket. i am fucked if thats the case because i dont have the time to fix that, this car is my DD

    hey i have a question,
    i purchased my 300zx N/A in semi working condition, i had changed all ignition coils because two were failing,
    replaced all sparks with NGK,
    replaced fuel filter,
    some damaged vac hoses were replaced
    replaced MAF sesnor due to complete failure
    the car runs decent now but in the monrings on a cold start i noticed when i slight press the gas peddle the car RPM's drop drastically and the car sounds like it wants to stall but about 10 - 15min of idle it act normal??

    @dudewtf1776 have you figured out what had caused this? my car stumbles when i give it a little gas when the engine is cold. when it warms up its fine. The only code i get is fuel temp sensor. I replaced it but the code wont go away. is this related?

    creo q es mejor desarmar el motor que tenes y reconstruirlo todo.
    Si lo haces bien este motor te va a durar otros 10 años sin problema! son buenisimos motores cuando estan bien cuidados!

  • @thirdeyedopeness
    @thirdeyedopeness 13 лет назад

    whats the point of what you did?. I have a 91 na. it was kinda load when i first got it so i changed the spark plugs because ive been told the engine will only take a certain kind.
    i found out that the previous owner took it too the dealer for a transmission rebuild and i found a pluged hose, missing bolts, cheap cut out gaskets when i opened up the engine to check head gaskets. if i show you film clips of my engine can u help me put the outer components in?

      everything. IDK if the engine uses the same mounts, I assume not because they are two different engine configurations ( I6 vs V6) so, you would either need to fabricate your own mounts or build (buy) a new subframe. Then, an I6 is definitely longer than the V6, so depending on where the engine would be located , it'd either have to be moved back or the radiator would have to be adjusted to compensate. Then, wiring.....getting everything to communicate. Transmission; they MAY use the same bellhousing pattern....may. ECU, since you're doing it, just go aftermarket (haltech, adaptronic, motec, etc)
      my recommendation: build the dett, it's a pretty stout motor and since you're considering doing an engine swap, you're already planning on removing it.

    If you passed emissions u had a dummy inspector. Removing the EGR not only voids inspection, its ILLEGAL. Why would you remove the EGR anyway? It helps keep combustion temperatures down, and assists with pinging. Seeing the poor quality of fuel we use today, egr is more important than ever.

  • @daltonallen7520

    why would you do an egr delete on an NA? lol

    • @peelmeat
      @peelmeat 8 лет назад

      You should eliminate the egr system on any vehicle if you want more power and a cleaner engine. Unless you are a tree hugging fucker which you must be.

    this has got to be one of the most ghetto ways to delete something from a car: hose with a bolt in it.....quality work right there.
    They make block off plates for a reason. And, the stock ECU is tuned for EGR compensation. Now, you're running lean; since the EGR is recirculating unburned fuel in the exhaust. Unless you already have another ECU you plan on throwing in the car for a final tune, then whatever.
    The throttle body coolant lines I delete too on my car. BUT with block off plates, tapping and plugging the holes.
    The PCV (positive crankcase ventilation) "mod" you did was actually kind of pointless. Oil is supposed to be rerouted back into the valve covers unless you do a real mod and add a cache can to trap the exiting oil (since some people who actually track their cars don't like recirculating that kind of oil back into the engine.)
    I can't imagine what other "sweet mods" you've done to this car.
    My advice to you: Do it right, do it once. JB weld is never a permanent fix. Drilling, tapping and plugging is.

  • @clodzillaiv
    @clodzillaiv 12 лет назад

    Haha one thing you should point out is that you will not pass emissions by deleting the aiz or the egr. Also jb weld really? Why didnt you just thread and tap the valve covers for npt fitting and be smart that way when your pcv line cracks melts or whatever from the jb weld you dont suck that crap into your engine of wait I know why you dont cause your car will never run again anyway hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha
