    I bought the Brix mini projector PC as I loved the look of it so much. It has a little portable projector and mini PC in a tiny little box like that is really impressive. Mine has an i3 Haswell with integrated GPU. I bought it as a streaming PC that can stream my Steam games from my main PC to any room in the house. The projector is sub high def but unlike a screen you don't notice the lower resolution as much as there is no horrible shimmering jagged aliased edges all over the place

    Terrific review! I may buy one based on this video. But seriously, ditch the "Blair Witch Shaky Cam." Very nauseating on a 28" monitor!

    I wish this thing had a version with 1/2" liquid coolant inlet and outlet ports, so I could use my spare water cooling kit with it. lol

    Anyone use these as a Hackintosh? If so, What are your experiences for Pros and cons? Thanks.

    It sure is impressive how powerful that CPU is in there, but as you said, it seems to be overkill for its application. I'd rather have a discreet GPU in there with a fast Core i5 cpu that overall would take up as much space as that. That could be a gaming computer replacement.

    Can you tell me what the open, white 10-pin connector is for? You can see it clearly at the 2:10 mark on the lower, right-hand corner of the board.

    Cost way to much! The Pipo X7S is a dual boot Windows 8.1 or Android 5.01 which takes care of all your media needs for a little over $100... This is a OTG Product "On The Go" I bought one of these things, but I also have a Nagrace NT-V6, it's meant for Android, but it will run Windows 10 as well and it's a workhorse...

    May sound like a dumb question but can this thing run World of Warcraft?

    I'm looking at the NUC for my mediacentre unit. Just to stream and play XBMC/PopcornTime. Would you say a i3 version of the NUC is plenty? I was thinking of the i3-3217U and punt in a 120Gb msata and 8Gb ram.

      judging by this article i think you'd be better of building your own machine mymediaexperience.com/hardware-for-xbmc/

    This+16GB RAM+240mSATA SSD is around $890 @NewEgg. Can I build a better specced (and a more balanced) PC with that money?

    • @rainbowbunchie8237
      @rainbowbunchie8237 10 лет назад

      Way faster. Way way faster. Even faster if you pick up some higher performance refurb parts for the same price as lower performance non-refurbs at newegg.
