No way does this look like a Tacoma. Don't know where you get that from. Looks better than a Tacoma all day long.
Undeniably a Gorgeous Truck with a proven engine and transmission is a win-win.
I bought one of these back in September and I absolutely love it!
How's it doing right now?
@@boxofhammers1427 still great
This is the best looking version I've seen so far
Dear Baby Jesus…please let me win the lottery so I can get this truck. Amen.
🤣🤣 if you win the lottery you can get a way better truck then this shit I would get a Ford raptor and ram trx forget the frontier..lol
I like the Dear Baby Jesus comment! Lol believe, work hard and believe me you will get it!
@@310chris18 🤣🤣🤣
You are blessed, go and lease one for $399 per month with $399 down
8 pound 6oz baby jesus
This may be in my garage come April or May. Damn nice truck.
I’m looking to buy on. Appreciate your review, nicely done.
I'm definitely getting one in the next two years.
I really like the 2022 Nissan Frontier. Most power without turbo. Best drive train warranty. Best looking hands down!!
The marquet is going away from dirty diesel. And no one really cares about 100 lbs difference in towing. Great job Nissan!!
Great full review!! Appreciate it
Nice review Mike! Keep those hands on the wheel! 😆
Nice review Dude!
I've owned 2Generations,this will be my 3rd and love everything about the Frontiers, so easy to clean inside witch I love and if own one you understand.
6:18 you said 3.6liter but it's a 3.8 awesome review btw and such a great looking truck !!
Thanks for pointing that out. I had written 3.8 but read it differently when recording.
This guy makes the truck look like a full size haha
Damn good assessment on the 2022 Nissan Frontier. Here I am with title in hand 2018 Nissan Frontier SV with complimentary upgrades, (Ceramic, Tow, Drop-in Bed Cover ETC, Rubber Mats, Step up Nerf Bars ) all for under 27K 3 Years ago. It would take a Lottery Win for me to upgrade to what your driving, but with personal upgrades, I can get there. Get Windows tinted.
Ended up getting a Toyota Tacoma trd sport 4x4 lunar rock for less than this truck but man this was one I was definitely considering and believe it’s a great truck. This truck catches my eye every time I see it and you definitely can’t go wrong with this
I bought mine in october, most expensive vehicle i have nought new. Got all the options, its great. Will not pay for it in full for 8 years though lol, so i am really glad its good. Winter has been super easy this year. I really recommend this truck, by it and enjoy like me!
What's it like compared to the 2005 Frontier in the snow?
totally want the Prox4 after watching this guy's review, he did a really nice indebt review and I think it's probably the best review out there!
So kudos to you Man!!
The white looks super sharp. This will be my new pickup, but with the long box.
The Toyota Tundra has been 15 years between new generations, so yea....it is pretty much industry norm.
I own a Toyota but I took the '22 Frontier for a test ride. It's better in so many aspects and I can give them credit where credit is due. The truck is more comfortable, quieter, rides better, and has better brakes and transmission. I can't say if the dependability will be as good as my Toyota has been since it's new, but time will tell.
Time already told actually.
It looks really sharp in white
Absolutely beautiful.
Nissan has done a tremendous job no question about it, for a well equipped pick up under $40K this one would be my top pick I think, but the GMC Canyon AT4 gets a little better mpg @ 17/24, would you do me a favor a review that one next please? Great Review -CHEERS!
You won’t be disappointed mine is pure black really nice truck and well made.
I got a black pro 4x at night it looks like a mini raptor. Too many tacomas out there.
Wicked Pissah Cool Video I’m
Seriously thinking about getting a PRO4X. How is Boch to deal with are they easy going or Like sharks when there’s blood in the water?
Very nice Pickup, big liked...
Informative and intelligent review. I am sold on this truck. Perhaps Nissan will wise up and replace the CVT transmissions in their SUV's with these 9 speed automatics.
Great video thank you sir. For reference purposes, how tall are you?
bought an sv trim in black 2 months ago. love it.
Bought a 2017 SV new. Rides like a dump truck. turning radius of a school bus. 120,000, solid, dependable no problems. Low tech. Love it! Time to trade.
how much did pay out the door ?
Great review
Yep. I will be looking to buy a pro 4x
Great review. I think Nissan hit a home run with this truck.
Got the Pro 4X leather seat, it's fully loaded, and finally i got the Bed Tunnel now it's better :)
The heck is a bed tunnel?
Love the looks I get from the other truck owners checking out my PRO-4X. Only gripe, the driver's seat needs to adjust further back for taller drivers
I wished the same thing . I wished the seat would have a tilt option
Sharp looking!
Here in Manitoba Canada where it's super cold in winter and super hot in summer, the cloth seats are luxury.
Yip. Alberta also agrees😂
We need nissan frontier nismo R with gtr nismo engine in it and nismo aftermarket parts in it
The one thing I don’t like about this truck is the backseats that are way too upright and uncomfortable. Otherwise It would have been close to perfect.
Aman Very tight and uncomfortable go sit in a Ridgeline wider and more backseat room but not as good looking as a Frontier
How is the turning radius on the frontier?
It's a very good honest rugged & comfortable truck built to last a while very good mix of old school & modern features people need to realize it's a midsize off road capable truck it's not supposed to appeal to high end bmw or Lexus drivers but the ride & features would be somewhat compatible to those vehicles just 10- 12 years ago
I’ve driven both. The Frontier is wayyyyyy smoother and a MUCH better daily driver.
17 years of waiting for the new Frontier? Seriously? People were sitting around in 2005 saying, “this 2005 Frontier sure is old. I can’t wait for the new and improved 2022!!!”
How about the in cab dash cam?
GREAT NISSAN.
How tall are you bro? Cuz that midsized looks huge!
Wish someone would review the base model 2 wheel drive.
nobody buys base except business owners for service trucks
After 7 new Dodge/Rams since 2007, 4 of them 2500 4x4/Cummins I traded my 2018 2500/Cummins for a Tactical green 4x4 SV with convience and tech group. I have 2750 miles on my new Datsun and it is in the shop with issues. The cloth on the front seat has separated from the seat bottom. The rep looked at it on 01/12/22 and approved a new seat. The seat has a slight rock from the play in the electric adjuster linkage. The transmission has surging issues ever since they idled it up to eliminate the rattle/harmonic vibtration in the sheet metal on the engine with 300 miles on it and something is not jiving, Idon't know maybe it is the throttle body thing communicating with the transmission that it is time to go and it means quick. And that is when a Tervis tumbler of water or whatever it has in it pours all over your center console. The dealer has had me in a rental Rouge since the rep looked at my truck and a rep from the factory has called me on 01/13 and on 01/14. As far as design flawsgo the center console has about as much use as a bread box turned on end , the cup holders will not hold anything unless it is 3 3/8 in diameter and straight sided. The bluetooth dies when you parlk and kill the ignition. If you are on an important phone call and need to finish before switching to your handset, which is not seamless at all then you must finish with the engine running. Nissan took until 2022 to invent the gas powered cell phone, I am sure the Climate Change crowd is going to love that one. The popups that remind you to increase the volume on your connected device and the one that reminds you that"your call history has been updated" are so old at 2700 miles I can't even imagine keeping this truck for that reason alone. They hang on screen for 4 to 5 seconds. I didn't enter into my blue tooth to read, I did it to make a call. Why don't any of you reviewers point out these real world consumer tips. Their is a lot to love about this truck but if you are a dyed in the wool truck buyer like me then these are far more important than the remodel they put on the gen II. I bought this as my retirement vehicle as I am 62yo and chose this truck based on my families good history with the brand. This is my first new Nissan and my first small truck in 45 years.
Sounds like you got a lemon. Sometimes a vehicle rolls off the line and it's bad. I'm on my second Nissan sedan and they have been great for me. And the Frontier has a long and great track record.
I’ve been looking to get the white pro-4x with premium package, no one has this color. Wtf.
After 20 years, no telescoping steering, dated fog lights, no rear climate vents, and less interior room than a Maverick. 🤔
I bought one last weekend! Top of the line model.
What is your payment if you have good credit. Finance..? interim one.
@@hhinojosareef1 I paid cash.
@@Sheldon66 Even better! How much was cash out the door.
@@Sheldon66 so how much was it ??
@@brad4527 About $53,000
I wish my 2020 Ford Ranger came with those tie down rails.
Hey guys! I live in Texas State in Amarillo and went out to ride my Kawasaki ZX-10RR and goes to Houston to have some fun don't know what was I thinking but I stopped by on some local Nissan Dealer somewhere in Houston to check the 2021 Frontier but I saw a 2019 Nissan Frontier Pro4X 4.0L V6 Kingcab 6ft bed with 6 Speed Manual transmission now only cost and sells for $24,750❗ what a great deal! The Nissan dealer salesman thought that I'm gonna trade in my Ninja ZX-10RR for a new frontier, hell nah! I'm just only looking at the goodies in there hell I already have Nissan Frontier trucks I got 2 of them! But If you're gonna ask me IF I was a 1st time truck buyer I would go for the 2019 Old model Frontier 4.0L V6 Pro4x Kingcab Manual transmission 6ft bed what a great Utilitarian Vehicle only $24,750 Old Stock but brand new versus the New gen 2021 Frontier I checked the price it cost $43,000❗ what the hell!!!! For 40 grand I'd rather get a Ram 2500 Tradesman or a Ford F-150 XLT or a Chevrolet Silverado 1500 the basic model. 40 grand is too much for a midsize pick up truck that's robbery!!!
The question no one is asking should we lease or buy ??? It might not be worth buying cus I don’t think the re sale value is high ?
I'm looking for something as close as I can get to the PRO-4X TERRA ! I've had 2, brand new. BUT they stopped selling them in 2015 ! 😪 I guess that my best bet is a Frontier . . .
Which someone could answer the question of how the Direct Injection engine will do in the long run.
It beautiful truck have driven Frontier and Ridgeline I Love the Frontier BUT it sure is tight inside and needs to be wider Back seat is very small compared to Ridgeline.
3.8 liter engine not a 3.6 liter. This is a new engine mated with Mercedes transmission 9 speed
Does it have AC vent coverage for the back seat?
No vets for the back seat.
Under the seat 💺 it has ducks and it blows out Very good, most people should look under the front seats and you will see them or ask the rep about them.
if nissan put in telescopic stering, and a bit long than the other vehicle in the market right now, i am 100% sure this is a number 1 choice of all people on this planet❤❤❤. for midside truck.
It's looks ok im liking the rugged look, but being a man I just need a bigger pickup truck f250 etc
Good looking truck, but damn it looks like the Taco
That's what she said. 😀
How have you been waiting 17 years for a new Frontier ?
So when they refreshed it in 2005 they should have refreshed it again in 2006 ?
It did have a long run, but you don't redesign a successful vehicle every couple of years !!
Me gusto
So they made it look like a new Tacoma… would love to stand out more.
At first glance at the thumbnail i thought it was a Colorado AT4. But seeing it debut I thought Tacoma as well.
Guys remember nothing it’s perfect even expensive cars (trucks) but this one looks really nice mine is pure black pro x.
I got the Cardinal Red, Great truck !
I'm wholeheartedly a Frontier guy. My last Frontier was a 2013. However Tacoma's can run circles around the Frontier's turn radius. ...sadly.
Mine should be in any day same color
Does it have a rear locker
Yes
2006 for the current taco!
Im between this nissan or the ford ranger tremor
It's like a badass modern day Dakota Nissan is owned by Renault which at 1 time possibly still owned by same corporation that owns Dodge you see it in carry over of Bilstein shocks & Mercedes patented transmission as Mercedes was also at 1 time owned by Dodge it has reliable Nissan engine & focused on interior design which is another Dodge ram character trait it's the one thing no one seems to tell us about because Nissan fans & Dodge fans are 2 different type of buyers I say I'll take the best of both worlds so I see it as a modern day reliable Dakota more than a less expensive Tacoma
It would be even better with a manual transmission option.
If Toyota would bring the Turbo 4 Diesel Hilux to the states that would be greattt....
Beautiful truck. Need to ditch those side steps!
I really think the ford ranger raptor is going to top this truck by quite a bit. But who knows when the ranger raptor is going to make it to America. Such a tough debate between buying this now or waiting for the raptor ranger
I just called about a ranger raptor. 90k with markups. Yeah.....absolutely NOT. purchased a new 23 fully loaded pro4x for 41k after tax.
I got the exact same one a white pro 4 x
Just bought the same too today! Pick it up on Monday. How do you like it?
@Blue-moon12 I love it I think it's great
@@julianlavalley7454 Thanks. Glad you're enjoying it.
Steering a bit to hard on turning ,especially slow turns ..noticeable off roading more..lower the back seat..cloth material..hard to use for heavy loads..may tear the cloth materials..Aloha
Where is the roof rack?
I'd love to see the roof rack on it, it would totally look even more bad Ass!!
I want
อยากให้มีขายในไทยบ้าง
I can’t believe there is no rear power sliding window on pro4x
Tough. Get over it.
@@PabloCruise1 , well said. 😂😂😂😂😂😂
You need one? Wait for 2023 model year
Expensive to fix and nothing but trouble.
Ford Ranger dosen't have a power sliding rear window either
Ok
I was on board until the "transmission from Mercedes" part
Damn and I just bought a ford ranger
For crying out loud, why can't they fix gas mileage on these vehicles? It's 2022 and we still getting awful gas mileage as if we are stuck in the 90s. This is total bullshit. With that being said, a nice looking truck indeed. Hard pass for me.
It’s a 3.8 liter not a 3.6 liter engine
Vehicle buying isn't all online yet. Most dealers still try to force you to come into the stealership so they can waste your time playing endless games with you, but smart buyers will refuse to play their manipulation game. I'm planning to purchase a Pro4x in Dec so I can save some $$ on a 2022 end of year deal. I won't set foot inside a dealership until I have a satisfactory deal in writing. Don't let dealerships waste your time with bs games, work out a deal via email or over the phone before going in!
so did you buy a truck yet
@@brad4527 Given how stupid truck prices have become and the fact that no deals are available, at least not right now, I decided not to get a truck at all. I'm tired of the shameless price gouging in the truck market. I bought a Subaru Outback and will use it as my travel/camping rig and I couldn't be happier. I spent $15k less than the trucks I was looking at and they weren't even that well equipped...my Outback is fully loaded.
I just bought a 23 Pro 4x end of year deal. I did most of the negotiating from home. I was not entertaining hours and hours in the dealership.
Why not call it a navara lol
The engine is a 3.8 L not 3.6
It’s actually a 3.8 L!!!
Thank you. Someone already pointed that out.
It’s always showing your face not the driving capability mobility of the truck
Class leading is the worst goal ....it keeps making trucks bigger and bigger...not to mention impractical....class leading bed depth= less accessible bed from the sides....class leading pulling power= Less gas mileage....class leading ground clearance= tough to load bed...... reason these truck keep getting bigger and bigger
This truck does not look like a Tacoma! That is just look at the front faces of each truck
Are the catalytic converters good? The environment is very important to me
Would
Once toyota comes out with the redesign for the tacoma the frontier won't be able to compete much.
Yeah... the newer Tacoma's can't even compete with my 08 Nissmo pro4x with 280,459mil that still out runs Tacoma's with ease.
It looks like alot of plastic to me, but so does the Tacoma.
Looks like a old mans truck kind of low looking with long slung fenders and the front looks like they were trying to copy the Colorado zr2 they even put 2 red recovery hooks lol at least they know what the best is and tried to copy it. they put frontier on the tailgate like Toyota does . the passenger seat is manual what's with that cheep crap.I do like the control buttons on the steering wheel. other then that there nothing here i would want . when the guy says this is close as you can get to the Toyota tells you he knows its not as good and Toyota is not the top dog any more now that the Colorado zr2 is on top. but if you cant afford the zr2 and dont mind having a old man looking truck this might be it
What fucking planet are you on bro 😂😂, the gm twins produce the worst fucking reliability related vehicles in the world. Chevy and GMC are dumpster tier vehicles. And everyone knows the Japanese know how to make reliable cars 😂
Colorado ZR2😂😂
With fuel prices skyrocketing and new EV pickups coming out soon Nissan better let US buyers have a fuel efficient pickup if they want to compete
I will Never buy electric CRAP!!
Brandon has declared war on fossil fuel⛽️⛽️ you wouldn't be saying that if Trump was here about gas.
EV pick ups are quite a way off , as in not for actual truck use.
Nice truck but, back seat is made for dogs only!!
17 years waiting and they come with that piece of shit look like all the truck in the market and not roof track.
