You nailed it dude. I am not a big off-road guy so the frontier was the perfect fit for me. It does well on the highway, feels incredibly smooth at 100+ passing people on a single lane Texas highway, yet I also know if I get into some mud or whatever it'll probably get me out of it. I traded a Tacoma for the Frontier because it is smoother on the highway and I think it looks cool. Great review man. You earned a new subscriber today.

One thing I’ve found out about these videos is that it boils down to what each individual likes. Some like Toyota, some Nissan, or even Chevrolet or GMC. My father likes Nissan, had different models for many years, Datsun/Nissan pick-up trucks, 200SX, Sentra, etc. Like him I like Nissan…had a 2013 Sentra, Frontier, now have a Midnight Edition Titan. I never had a problem with any of those vehicles because I take care of them. I do like this style of new Frontier, I like its simplicity because I’m a simple person or not flashy. Which I probably will end up buying one. 🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾

I bought the same truck in Boulder Grey, and it is an awesome truck. I was thinking Toyota or ranger but after driving the frontier I made up my mind. It's not the best off road truck but it you need to go off roading it will do the job and as a daily driver (which is what I do) the truck is suuuper comfortable. I also think for the price it's a much better deal!!

I have a 2019 Frontier PRO 4X king cab which nets a 6' truck bed. The wipers come on when you hit the washer button. The stock 32" AT tires are 1" taller than the all-season tires on the TRD and the rear disk brakes are better than the drum brakes on the TRD. An Old Man Emu lift, Leer shell and better AT tires make my PRO 4X much better off road and I still spent less money than a stock 2019 TRD

This new Frontier is amazingly quiet on the freeway, Almost as quiet as the Ridgeline. Tech package SV stereo is an inexpensive upgrade but the 14 speaker in top trims was awesome. Steering feel is good but could be lighter like my 2009 Frontier (153K miles). They didn’t improve the turning radius much. The front seems 6” higher than before, the back maybe 2” higher. Both are hard to see over when parking, cameras are a must.

Like someone else mentioned, the pro 4x doesn’t compute with the Tacoma TRD Pro.

Just turned 600 miles on it this week. Have taken it off road once. Stayed on 2WD as long as I could before using 4WD. No problem in shifting to 4WD, and using low and high ranges. Walked right up most steep hills. Was stymied at one point, too much loose rock, even with the axle locker on, and turned the front wheels back and forth, and getting a run at it. Nissan P4X is a well rounded mid size truck. Great on paved roads and good for off roading. Of course you could add/modify to do more serious off roading. The motor is not a turbo (plus), and the tranny is a 9 speed Mercedes design (plus). Not too much tech (plus) but enough updates to hold its own. It’s a pick up truck that is simple and should last like the last gen.
Toyota is definitely geared more towards off roading , while sacrificing the paved road comfort. New design of Taco likely will have a turbo as well…Toyota is having many issues with turbos in other newer vehicles. Not to mention the new design price will be even higher. Frontier is a good well rounded truck and is substantially less than a comparable Taco TRD Off Road. The Taco TRD Pro is even more money with more stuff. I would rather spend less for the Frontier and add/modify it to how I want it for much less. Both are good trucks, but most people will not even come close to using most of the off road features on either truck. Frontier is a better value imho.

The Frontier is a great vehicle and has always been. I purchased a 2022 Boulder Gray Pearl Frontier Pro4X in December of 2021. I looked at all the new model midsized and the Nissan drove better on-road. I use to own a 2010 Xterra so off-road was either going to be the same or better. The exterior was what I liked the most as in Birmingham, everyone seems to be in a Tacoma and I wanted something different and was not willing to pay the absorbant inflated prices I was seeing for a 2-3-year-old Tacoma with 40k on the odometer. I love the truck. 7500 trouble free miles and I am excited to drive it when we need to run errands. We have taken it to Gatlinburg, TN and Panama City Beach, FL and averaged over 20 mpg at max payload. This is my 1st truck and so far I am so happy I waited for the Frontier over buying a new Ranger or fullsize truck. @itgrads_pro4x

@@johnnyreb9398 well they merged with the French auto maker Renault in the late 90’s and they make not good vehicle’s. The quality of Nissan and infinity went way down. You don’t see many early 2000 Nissan and infinity cars on the road today. The Nissan 3.5 liter engine had a lot of hype but they were full of bad issues causing the engine to fail completely. Replacing that engine is a costly problem. What say u?

Sick review! Impressive 🛻💨 I'm glad they put a V6 rather than going boosted like all the other manufacturers are hopefully it'll stay this way for at least the next 7-8 years if it's as reliable as the last model
