Nissan if you're listening fix the turning radius issue, and offer a long bed version on pro 4x, maybe front locker option, and or more selection like mts, higher quality bilstein shocks allow for more clearance of approach, departure, and break over. @@dwnshft Then you should have mentioned during the review that the steps were removable instead of telling people to delete them entirely from the buildsheet.
@@dwnshft It's part of the Pro4X package, yes? Unless the rub rails are made of tinfoil you'd be paying soemone to remove them for you. From what I have seen of them they are sufficient to prevent damage from light hits, breakover angle gravel, and similar. Would I trust them for hardcore wheeling or as a jacking point? No. But then if you are going to that extreme you will run DOM tubing bolted or welded to the frame and steel front&rear bumpers. In the 2nd gen Frontier and Xterra P4X usually arrived with steprails that were thin as tissuepaper, bolted to the rocker only in 3 places with 6 M8 studs and hung down 4-6 inches. These are tucked up tight to the rocker more like Jeep has done with their rocker protection for near a decade.
Seems like the right tool and 8 bolts later you can take those steps off and have a rocker. I disagree this isn’t a direct competitor to the Tacoma TRD. I’m in the market for a midsize truck and Toyota didn’t win.
I live in NJ within 25 miles of five Nissan dealerships and travel over a hundred miles a day. I have yet to see one of these trucks on the road. I see them sitting in the stealerships. Nobody is paying their ridiculous 10,000 markups. Especially since Nissan overshot the MSRP by thousands. They shot themselves in the foot. Now that several months went by and the good reviewers are saying it's an outdated basic midsized pickup without anything special to offer, they are going to sit in dealerships indefinitely. I say let these creeps look at them everyday, they deserve what they get for trying to take advantage of people. Believe me people will remember them when times are better 😉
I disagree, I believe this is a direct competitor to the trd pro. With the better drivetrain, it makes me consider the frontier even more than the Toyota.
I've had both Toyota and Nissan trucks. I like both but was a little surprised how much the new frontier body style copied the current Tacoma. I mean the front clip is such a rip off especially the narrow headlights. Come on Nissan you could have at least come out with something original.
The frontier is simply a reminiscent of 'The great Nissan Hard body' of old. Shine your eyes bro. Nissans body style has always been perculiar cos other manufacturers always draw cues from Nissan.
I often wonder why these guys knock everything, like the motor, do you expect a new motor every year??, crazy,n not everyone drives in the bush,.. just silly
I recently purchased a 2022 pro 4x. Cloth seats No wireless charging No heated seats (assume only comes with leather) And no 360 camera view. Love my frontier and don’t regret it but after seeing every frontier have these amenities did I get bamboozled? Haha or is it just the “premium package”?
Newer truck on the market and it doesnt even have telescoping steering wheel or offroad driving modes like terrain select (even the ford maverick has it and its not even a real truck). This is pretty much a 2000s truck tech with new skin. Nothing about it stands out above the class, its just mediocre. The competition is already coming out with redesigns while this design is ancient and will not do well with the competition coming within the coming year

Go to your local Nissan dealership, I'm sure they'll change your mind about this truck. It already has a grossly overpriced MSRP, if that doesn't sway you the stealerships are adding a 10,000 markup on top of that. This is a first year model made in America, good luck with that. It leaves a lot to be desired at a fair price but you would be a total fool to throw several thousands of dollars into a salesman's pocket, for what amounts to be a basic midsized pickup. I was interested in purchasing it but decided not to feel like an idiot and get robbed.

But I go whit trd pro look awesome and I don’t have never problem whit bad boy
bu the one in your prof pic is voodoo blueeeeeee
Yes I love it because no more truck now but Nissan good too
You can remove the steps, then it'll just act as rock sliders
We ignoring the fact there was a dent in the driver's side door in some parts of the video and not in other parts?
It was snowing and someone ran into the frontier before we shot rollers
Damm I should of got the frontier instead of the Titan pro4x it’s probably more affordable
The Nissan is comfortable, the Taco you sit on the floor, very uncomfortable and no room in the cab for big tall guys.
Correct
Facts
There is a dent on the drivers door
Perfect Nissan.
I often wonder why these guys knock everything, like the motor, do you expect a new motor every year??, crazy,n not everyone drives in the bush,.. just silly
Mitsubishi and Nissan tend to make pick up trucks light. it drives like a sedan and really comfortable. but not a workhorse for hauling
We need nissan frontier pro4x nismo R lifited with kicker premium audio system and gtr nismo engine in it with nismo aftermarket parts in it
That would be wild 👀
I wish this came with more fake vents like the Tacoma
😂
There are more countries than the just the US 🙄 you can get it in long bed or short box. Dependent upon residence
wait...more countries?...that doesn't sound right
Very nice Pickup car/
Is there any company out there that has a midsized truck with great power?
Each just LS swap haha
the VK V8 from the titan will drop into the frontier. just have to get a company like Driven Desire to build you an engine harness
BTW, the steps are an option on the new 4X. and I agree. They are stupid. Give me a real rock slider.
I'm almost stuck
I recently purchased a 2022 pro 4x.
Cloth seats
No wireless charging
No heated seats (assume only comes with leather)
And no 360 camera view. Love my frontier and don’t regret it but after seeing every frontier have these amenities did I get bamboozled? Haha or is it just the “premium package”?
Nope. All of those things will break at some point.
@@eriklambert3809 yea after 20 years
Pro4x should have heated seats and heated steering wheel. Luxury only adds leather, moonroof, sound system etc
@@D41Pat yeah mine didn’t come with heated seats or wheel
@@D41Pat I’m sure it can be an “add on”?
Newer truck on the market and it doesnt even have telescoping steering wheel or offroad driving modes like terrain select (even the ford maverick has it and its not even a real truck). This is pretty much a 2000s truck tech with new skin. Nothing about it stands out above the class, its just mediocre. The competition is already coming out with redesigns while this design is ancient and will not do well with the competition coming within the coming year
Max towing for a pro4x is 6180 lbs, not 6700, payload is 1220 NOT 1600 lbs. Yes other have higher tow and payloads but you are showing off a Pro-4x. If a spotter was required for any of the traveling done on this video it would be embarrassing. Rear locker engaged on that road? WHY? At the most, 4LO. Either this BS is used for dramatics or drivers are way too under experienced.
I was actually considering this price wise over the tacoma but then I heard the "Jatco" made transmission.
Great video but you gotta lose that music, can’t make out what you’re saying. The tones of the tunes and the tone of your voice are too similar. Repost without tunes and I’ll be able to hear what you have to say
Will bring the levels down so not distracting. Thanks for watching 👍
Driver's seat is crap. Bring back the old one.
You need a off Road test....not this🤷
Dude complaining about the steps when they are easily removable. ...smfh
Some of you reviewers complain about the simplest things.
You can’t remove or modify things on a press vehicle. We should have stated that they can be removed but we can’t remove them
Make an Xterra out of it ...
lost me at jacko tranny if theer was manual id be in one today to bad no ones put manuals in there trucks an suvs auto suck be cause there so boring all of em
The worst truck I ever had... can't go over 70mph, a terrible whistle will blow your mind during long trips, many recall opened and no available parts to replace, can't park it when 4x4 is ON.
Cowl was replaced, dealership refuses to test the car over 55mph so they are not even able to try to fix it. I recorded some videos to show them but, they say that they are not able to identify the source. Nissan costumer affair also deny to take any action as they don't "actually" fix anything. Trash vehicle with the worst manufacture service ever
It's been a long time since I was in the 4th grade. Who is this "we" you speak of?
Me and Paolo
La Nissan Frontier le copio mucho el diseño ala tacoma 😂😂😂 pero seve perra la Nissan 😂😂
I just bought a fully loaded (everything) for 46k at the dealership. Seams reasonable to me. Maybe your dealership is pulling shenanigans? The average vehicle price across the board in 2022 is approximately 45-47k currently.
@@someguy8498 You're what's known in Brooklyn as a beanshooter.
@@tommycasidy3031 sorry to disappoint, but it happened last Friday. I did add a 3” lift, rims, tires, running board package that added another 5k. It looks fantastic. :) Note: I’m sure the northeast is a bit more expensive. Search for a 2022 Nissan Frontier for sale in Reno, Nv.
