      Totally agree regarding simplicity, especially with a truck. The 3.8 liter naturally aspirated engine was a great choice (vs. a small displacement 4-turbo engine which would wear out faster). I’m grad that Nissan took advantage over Toyota, ford, and Chevy from being the same frontier design for years and finally in 2021 redesigning the frontier for 2022, they had added new high quality technology features in the infotainment system and off roading tech, the Tacoma in other hand still has the same design since 2016 and were now in 2021, Toyota still uses it’s old and dated technology from the early 2000s in there new models like in the tundra, the tundra is zonked. Ford still uses its old and mediocre technology in the raptor but not in there new f150. So I’m glad that Nissan had nailed it and took advantage over any midsize truck company. Good job Nissan 👍🏼

    I have always heard don’t buy the first year of a redesign? I’ve owned one Frontier and 2 Tacoma’s , just bought a Ridgeline and it drives so much better. I enjoy a bed for bikes and love the trunk in the Ridgeline but never go off-road so the Ridgeline made more sense for my needs. I believe they are all good trucks as I personally believe Japanese made trucks have always owned the small truck market, although the Ranger and Colorado have seemed to improve over the years.

      The ridgeline is a unibody truck with independent suspension at all 4 wheels. It’s a car with a bed. That’s why it drives so well on the highway. Nissan and Toyota are body on frame with solid rear. They will never drive as well on the highway. But they can go Offroad and tow.

      @@billywill903 Realistically, 95% of people have no need for an offroad capable vehicle anymore though including most of these jeep fanboys. Couple hours on dirt roads a year doesn’t count. The towing I can get behind more than anything and respect the longevity of the tacoma/4runner and the frontier (i own one). I just grow tired of people touting off-road capabilities on their half plastic $60,000 jeep with a useless lift kit….only to drive on pavement the entire year like everyone else.

    • @rickh1353
      @rickh1353 3 года назад

      Kevin your 110% correct. I know many people with giant trucks or Jeep’s that do 99% city driving and rarely tow. If I lived in a rural area with lots of off road I would buy a 4X4. I’m very practical and love my Ridgeline for the city, plus love the bed trunk and interior way better than my 2 Tacoma’s and Frontier. Don’t get me wrong I loved my Tacoma’s but honestly my Toyota dealer tried to say I needed $5,000 worth of work. Sorry Toyota I’m not getting ripped off.
