Because its the only old school truck left on the market. Solid F-alpha frame built like a tank. Hydraulic steering steering with solid NA VQ motor and proven Daimler benz 9 speed. More room in back seat and more standard features. Bigger screen and dual climate unlike the hard plastic yota. These are similar trims but the Nissan looks so much better inside and out.
The Frontier has a V6 and is made in Mississippi. Pluses in my opinion. I will buy one next year. I also just purchased a 24 4Runner. I’m getting proven quality and reliable vehicles before they are gone.
The Toyota lacks dual zone climate, more hard touch surfaces, a smallish center stack, a barely unusable rear seat. Reason the tailgate is heavier on the frontier is there is no aluminum. At high way speeds the hood will remain calm and not vibrate like the yota. Frontier also has hood struts whereas the yota no. Frontier's frame is solid with uniform strength. Yota thinned out the frame in areas (hello rust 2.0). Frontier has dedicated external radiator intercooler. Yota does not meaning they can overheat when under load. Frontier has frame mounted bump stops. Nope to yota with the cheesy internal ones with weak aluminum top hats that can blow up. 9 speed daimler benz on fronty no reported issues. 8 speed on yota can literally grenade. Always when I see these two side by side the Frontier is a much better package overall and the Nissan looks more expensive over the hard plastic yota. Only fault I see with the Nissan is the back up camera. They continue to use 360P resolution. Nissan really needs to update that.
