The Frontier is a new truck that feels old and ancient, while the Ranger is a modern, tech-rich and updated truck. It just depends what you desire.
I’ll take the frontier. I worry about the durability of the turbos. I love the 6 cylinder in the Nissan. I think it looks better too.
Facts
For me I chose the Frontier over the overpriced EcoBoost Ranger anyday.
I would take a the frontier 100% had one 6 years ago no problems at all and sold it with 65,000 miles for 16000.00$ and it was a 2wd. 😊😊
frontier is the new king…
Is the suspension ok, I had a pro4x 2021 and the suspension was brutal.
I like the frontiers looks but it can’t be best in class (or the king of midsize) with that weak a$$ payload rating my Toyota Camry has almost 500 more pounds lol.
Here in Houston, they have 2024 pro4x with cloth for $37,999 at some dealers. And 2024 sv crew cab 2WD for $30,899.. these prices are making me want one.
Frontier is king of unreliability lists though 🤷🏼♂️
@@J.W.W.ford isn’t ? 😂
Both trucks are cool for a midsized trucks love both trucks
One thing the Nissan built in the USA 40% American parts the ranger is assembled in the us .08 % American parts a slight difference Ranger built in China and snapped together in the USA. 😮😢😢😮😅
The fact that payload is a 628 pound difference is wild to me
The Ranger would be on the bottom of my list. Just a boring, uninspired design, looks like Ford half-assed it compared to other offerings. The Raptor being the exception but I don’t need a Bro Truck.
Can the Ranger Compete with the Nissan Fronter is the real question? And it can't!!
Nissan will out last that ford by miles and years!
I need to tow a boat. It's gonna be a 2.7 Ranger for me. But the Nissan is better looking and has decent reliability.
I like the Ranger more out of the two but how is it neither of them have rear vents?!? If I'm not mistaken the GM twins do.
@@dtay8913 So does the ridgeline
Exactly, I would love ac vents in the rear
Frontier has underseat vents, Ranger might as well. It's not as good as the console vents but it helps.
They both have under the seat vents
When are you going to get your hands on Ranger with the 2.7 V6?
Still none at dealers
😂😅😂😅😂😅
i actually just saw at the dealership as i drove by, but its now gone.
i'm in North Jersey@BenHardyCars
Ben thanks for the video, literally deciding between these two trucks. They are my favorite!
How tall are you ben? Asking so we know if taller passengers will only be comfortable in the front passenger seat or not.
5’11”
You failed to mention that the Frontier, while a great vehicle, has rear seat backs that are pretty much vertical, making the passengers feel like they are being folded in half. My wife and I both noticed that and based off that we removed it from our list as long range trip comfort wouldnt be good for our passengers (daughter and friends). Ended up ordering a Range XLT FX4 with the 2.7l. For reference, I am coming from a 2017 Ridgeline.
Ridgeline isn't a truck😂😅😂😅
Nissan frontier all the way love the naturally aspirated v6 over that turbo any day the frontier looks way better hate that you have to control everything on the ranger in that screen and no physical buttons and working on those turbo engines are no fun that is why the frontier is the best mid sized truck
Can you please do a 2025 frontier sv
Has anyone driven the ranger and noticed it hunting for gears? Both the 2.3 and 2.7 ranger were hunting for gears on my drive and the sales staff told me it was for fuel economy. That doesn’t make much sense to me. Any thoughts?
v6 will win😂
The Frontier should be more reliable over the long run
V6 should be in all midsize trucks people want a no turbo motor it would sell even better on tht note a fullsize truck with a 4 cylinder truck is the worse idea Chevrolet are you listing
Why do the Japanese brands have such low payload
I like both but I guess I would go with the Ranger even though I much prefer the interior of the Frontier. I can’t stand this digital dash trend that everyone seems to be so fond of.
I'll take the frontier. Naturally aspirated!
Frontier all the way💪🏽😎 NA engines are more reliable than forced induction.
If ford did not get rid of the tremor and cyber orange then i would go with the ranger
LOL! You're comparing apples to oranges. The Pro4x is Nissan's top-tier truck. Now that they're discontinuing the Titan. No disrespect, but Nissan has to up its game. Aftermarket accessories are even limited on this brand. Plus, these vehicles don't hold their value compared to other trucks.
You forgot ford comes with unwanted McDonald’s commercials while you drive awesome
Naturally aspirated > turbo
I should be getting my 2.7V6 Ranger next week.
Frontier all day long.
I would fee confident in saying the quality of the nissan should be a step above the cheap expensive ranger.
This is a 24 ranger, not a 25… lies..
24 doesn't have that large of a screen or Frontier logo under th3 screen
keep in mind, when President Trump wins and gets gas prices you wont worry about mpgs again, not to get political... Trump baby!!!
opps sorry😂😅
I’d consider the frontier if it wasn’t in the top ten unreliability lists 🤷🏼♂️
Haha. Trust me, most Frontier owners love them. I have one and it's been reliable. Repair Pal rates the Frontier one as the most reliable. Please don't quote CR
The ranger is the better truck
I pick Ford because Ford
