I like the review (and turning radius is definitely the worst thing). But, as a 2022 frontier owner, I'm frustrated that off-road youtube reviewers don't understand the running boards. They're actually dual purpose rock rails with removable steps attached. If you're going to off-road this thing, take the steps off and the rock rail will help protect the truck without the loss of clearance.

    • @jseels

So the steps can be taken off? This is good to know as I might buy one. Is it just an Allen wrench or bolt removal?

Literally wishing a couple thousand bucks of one another. The gas mileage difference is also negligible, about 2mpg difference between the v6 of the frontier and v8 of titan. The v8 will be more sought after on the flip also. Great truck, just hard to not go with the titan, for the price point and all that comes with it. Also, and it’s worth noting - you both look huge in that truck, unusually so. If you’re over 5’8”, the frontier just looks really small, especially looking through the windshield.

Stop complaining about the steps, get a torx bit and remove the screws and problem is gone. Eight screws for each step; approx. 45 minutes and I had mine removed the day after driving it home from the dealer. Place the screws back into the holes and all fixed. The rails the steps attached can also be removed; however, they do not reduce the clearance since they are above the bottom of the frame rails, and they will offer some protection, such as if sliding on a rock or down a slick rock trail in Moab. They are not heavy duty rock rails, nor are they designed to be, so slaming the body down on a rock with these will cause a big dent in them, but again some protection.
If steps are needed get the flush type steps or grow taller.
As for off-roading? My driveway is more of a challenge than that course you are on.

you guys complain about the predator steps but fail to metion (fail to realize??) that the steps themselves are removable, leaving the rock rail . Of course they reduce clearance and of course they are removable from the rails... need to call that out...

2024 Taco is an all new redesign and is for sure going to make waves. Also the 2024 Ranger is getting redesigned. Then soonest, the newly designed 2023 Colorados and Canyons are currently in production and will be ready in the Spring. I think they will all score higher and rate higher by consumers this year.

I wonder if prices will come down with June/July with new models start coming out to make room.
plus there will be a lot of 2022-2023 out there.
      I've owned all Nissand 1989,1993,2005 .
So I really can't wait to buy a new one!!
But my wife are a team so we have to wait because of a few jobs will be starting on the house soon$$$ .
So what color did you go with?
Hopefully this summer for me and I will get a King Kab and have it sent out with Nissan to get a Sunroof.
