    hell yeah man, glad to see it moving under it's own power! The normal 997 clutch slave you didn't use is a hydraulically boosted slave cylinder, you need that extra boost for the aggressive Porsche clutch but no issue for the RPS triple disc. Glad you were able to do the GT2 swap, it's such a no-brainer and a much easier install.

There are so many good questions you guys are asking, and Gabe will eventually get too answering all of them. I would answer all of your questions but Gabe, the builder is more knowledgeable on the build then I am (since I have been working on the behind the scenes end of the project). So please be patient. When it comes to technical innovation, prototype development and manufacturing the British are up there with the world's very, very best hence the reason why so many Formula One Grand Prix racing teams are British or based in Great Britain. But when it comes to long term investment and commitment to 'go it alone' mass production and world marketing we are, with few exceptions, next to hopeless, especially in the automotive field.
    You have good reason to be very proud of your creation my friend. Top of the shop. Well done.

    • @alangood8190
      @alangood8190 3 года назад

      @@sorryimajerk735 You say 'garbage' which suggests you are American or Canadian.
      There was a time when British cars and engines dominated the American 'Indy' car scene with Reynard, Lola, March and Cosworth reigning supreme. Sadly they have all now succumbed and disappeared (Cosworth is now German) which supports my reasoning but to suggest anything English (I think you mean British) is garbage is way off the mark. We're brilliant engineers, designers, technologists and innovators with a positive 'can do' attitude but long term finance and global marketing is our perennial problem as proven with the examples I have given here.

    Fantastic build! Have watched all the episodes and was very impressed at how well thought out everything was done.
    For track days, my only thought was whether or not you’ll pass the decibel meter test. Makes for a lousy track day when you pack, travel, unpack and prepare only to find out you’re too loud to run.
    It does sound amazing. Again kudos to a project well done and well presented

    • @UltimateUltimaRS

With these things people make the mistake of thinking it's about the cost (I doubt this was cheap) and that they can get a supercar for nothing. It's about building something with your own hands and as a side bonus something that looks really fucking cool.

    Congrats Rob and getting this far. The car looks great and sounds angry. I did notice in the video that you added a windscreen banner in orange wrap, did you do this to cut light or to make the front of the car look more pleasing. I always thought that the Ultima was a bit square on the top of the windscreen, this looks better with this as in orange, it extends the body visually.

    If I had that kind of money even if I knew how to do things, I would spend some money to have someone else build it and if I had that kind of money. I wouldn't have neighbors, but this may be an old video. And I'm just checking it out. But there are things I can and can't do. And there are things that we may not want to do. But I do like the video love. The car always been interested in kit cars. And there's something I could do, I'll learn. Sometimes I mean, I wanna wait a long time. I just wanted to strive it not saying I can't do things. Or I'm lazy but again nice car and the video shows. I knew when I saw you selling it. That's pretty sad all that money and sweat. And tears are put into building it. And you just let it go so I don't know. I would try to keep it build a garage. Be like jaleno. I live in California.

    I found the build maybe 5 months ago or so and have watched every episode you've uploaded since. I am eager to see it completed and for you to do some performance testing against some "benchmark" cars. Maybe once you get done with this build and have enjoyed it for awhile you will begin another build. Your attention to detail and amount of effort you've put into building something really special makes me hope that you find another platform to build. Like a twin turbo Voodoo powered GT40 or something along those lines. I can't think of an RUclipsrs that have tackled a build of this caliber off the top of my head and I fully believe that you could really build an extremely successful channel using this project as a springboard for other products. On the subject of the catch can, keep in mind that the oil doesn't like to travel up hill. It looks like at least one of your lines to the catch can has a pretty tall arch in it. It's always nice if you can have the lines go slightly down hill to the can.

    Thanks for the videos. Getting me closer to pulling the trigger on my own. Hoping you will do a video about driving impressions and how street manners are.

    Beautiful job man. I bet it was a great feeling putting that thing in 1st gear and roll it out into the sunlight for the first time. You touched every piece of that car. Basically meaning,... nobody will ever know that car the way you do. It's a gorgeous build brother. And it'll always be a little cooler than the car next to you. They bought theirs already built,...and you built yours. That makes it so much cooler imo.

    That’s some excellent fabricating. Haven’t seen any other Ultima builds, but I have no doubt this is one of the cleanest. Can’t wait to see this thing in action.

    Some people have unimaginable talents. You sir are definitely one of them. I’m blown away looking at this absolutely beautiful build. The attention to detail and placement of everything is something out of this world. In my opinion I would much rather have this then a Ferrari or Lamborghini, built by yourself is priceless. Congratulations on a absolute work of art. 🤩😍😎🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥

    Wow absolutely beautiful. Love the orange color. You did an exceptional job on the build. Power to weight ratio must be incredible, kinda like putting a V8 into a go cart. Absolutely love it bro.
