Pecan Candy/Pralines
Ingredients:
Pecans
Butter
Evaporated milk
Vanilla
Sugar
Directions:
1. In a pot melt 1 stick of butter.
2. Once the butter has melted, add 2 1/2 cups of sugar, 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract, and 12 oz of evaporated milk.
3. Stir continuously on a medium heat.
4. Once the mixture begins to thicken, add 1 cup of pecans. Continuously stir.
5. Remove from heat once the mixture is thick, smooth, and not runny.
6. Place spoon fulls on parchment paper.
7. Let cool for 1 hour.
8. Enjoy.

Oh no! I was soooo excited to make the candy that I never noticed that I unsalted sweet cream butter! Should I toss it out now since I added all except the pecans and vanilla???
These are the soft ones right not the chewy ones ?
You should have told people how long to cook the candy making it look that simple and it is not you gave ingredients and that is it
There is no right length of time. You just have to feel how thick it is. It depends on your pot, stove , and preference. It’s taken me 30-45 minutes and it’s taken me almost 2 hours.
