It is! Our kids were done with "the rock" as we called it, pretty early on. As soon as the understand and show they understand it's time..our son was 9 months..lol, our daughter was 6 or 7 months. But then it was an "uh-uh-uh" a 39 second hold on the lap and an explanation as to why they r in the Rock... Son didnt like to be restrained on our laps for even 30 seconds...he didn't have a lot of time on the rock, like his mother did and the corner!!😜) Our daughter tho...that girl would happily do her time for her time! He wants to be a math teacher like I was before I got sick, and our daughter has decided she wants to be a lawyer...but she wants to defend those that don't have a voice..they are 16 and 15 now. Even my middle schoolers at the inner city middle school I taught 8th graders math at, didn't behave like these guys..mine didn't...there were other classes off the wall...proud tho .some joined the military, some graduated and have families now, some have ended up behind bars..thankfully, not many.. my gosh! I'm so sorry! The whole reason I went to make a comment was that when they do the rock or timeout with these guys, ya don't give over and talk to them during their time! They just continue carrying on!

Man, I taught all ages of children Sunday school for years and they listened way better and were way quieter.
There were a few kids that needed extra attention, but when you met their parents you learned why- taking it to ❤️.
They loved me and I loved them. I miss it.

I like the sergeant in the first part of the video, he was calm, spoke to the inmate and gave him chances to act appropriately. Then had enough of the behaviour and took care of business in a calm and polite manner. I do laugh at the inmates who think they are in charge while in custody, that myth is quickly dispelled.
I really liked him too! The sooner people realize they're not in charge the easier the process.

The inmates have to understand who is boss . They must cooperate and respect the deputies. A deputy gives a command to do something ,its best to do it. The sergeant came and he is not playing games. You better listen to him. He will make your life very difficult if you become a problem. 😮
It's only small children and idiots who think the cops are always right.

😂😂well that wasn't anything like what I thought it was gonna be!! Lol, my husband says I lived in a bubble growing up ..and then I taught for many years at an inner city middle school....I learned soooo much from them!! They'd say something and I would go home and talk with him (he was in the Navy at the time) and I could feel my face blush when I asked him what the kids meant when they says this or that! Thankfully, they respected me and I had humor on my side..most of the time, so discipline wasn't an issue. They were make to comments to each other on their time or in between classes...lol, or in the ISS room...good times ..;)

I was a cop (Frontline in uniform] for 18 yrs before i got injured on duty and had to retire. I know that we’re never going to get the respect that we deserve for putting our lives on the line every single day, but we do it because its what is right! We run towards danger when others run away, - in the heat of the moment - we care about others, more than ourselves. We might die, so that others may live. I wish you all a happy and carefree life! X

Mental health issues and drugs are a wicked combination.
Some are not mental health issues. They just have not been disciplined or have had consistent structure that they had chosen to follow. Probably didn't have support at home , but at some point, even my 15 and 27 year olds say ",the time for excuses is over..they r old enough to know they shouldn't be behaving that way ..and there are consequences for that mom!"

I was thinking the same. There is no way I could interact with those weirdos in any way. I also would put them in isolation and never let them out back into society. The world would be safer without them out there causing trouble. 😅 Once caught, those people should stay in jail forever. I could not interact with those individuals under any circumstances.
