Officer Ellis should be training new recruits. He doesn't argue with irrational people, it's like arguing with a toddler. He gives them simple instructions and clear consequences. And his manner is so calming.
Arguing with a toddler might be more productive.
Man was made for this job. Perfect demeanor, and an absolute UNIT.
I appreciate how he remained calm, respectful and firm throughout. He gave him every chance to sort himself out.

Well, he did seem violated. 1st they walked into his cell and told him to "get on his knees", then shut up and do what he is told to get "restraints" off, and eventually was "pinching his cheeks", and pushing his head down. 🤭🤭🤣🤣😂😂 Lmfao.
When they kept telling that man public intoxication that would be my last day. I don't need to tell someone 10+ times just for them to assault me. I have no idea how these officers don't just have heart attacks right there.

Wow I give these correctional officers mad props for their patience with the people who are drunk and obnoxious. I would HATE to deal with drunk people for a living. I have a lot of patience but I don't think I could do it.

These jailers see all sides of life...mostly the dark side. Difficult situations they handle with professionalism and the force necessary to keep all involved safe. Hats off to them. Oh, all bets off when a “Child of God” comes through the door and wants his mommy.......😂
If you've been to jail, you would know that the level of professionalism on display here is rare indeed. Sadism and indifference rule the day away from the cameras, with a few exceptions.
Which is the case for a lot of people that come in there. They just dont all say it that way.
Yaka smiling at somebody's pain is professional sad to know there's more sheep out there like you than people that wanna actually stand for something other than governmental greed no one cares for anyone and these guys are here for a paycheck just like everyone else society is a joke.

I'm 6 years clean and it's sad seeing these people intoxicated and not able to follow basic instructions because they're so out of it. I commend these officers for having the time and patience to deal with these criminals as such. Please keep up with the new episodes, obsessed with this show as it shows how far I've come!

He is a perfect example of what psychosis looks like. It’s a shame. I wish there were more services to aid in mental health and addiction. Most people there have substance use disorders, including personality disorders that lack assistance or accessibility to any formal treatment or access to medication. Even if they had access, would they use the services? 🤷♀️

People who are intoxicated and in jail never ceases to amaze me.
"What am I being arrested for? What am I being detained for?" Was told multiple times why... and then more reasons were added on.
"This guy's pinching my cheeks. I can't even talk." Continues to talk.
Within a matter of minutes it went from two-hours to four-hours of why he was detained.... what a sad, sad adult-sized child.
I love these people who claim they are not drunk, heck that's their only excuse for their behavior!

I have a feeling that the hospital told him that his "injuries" were nowhere near as bad as he was claiming so he wouldn't be getting any leniency because of them and he should stop whining and grow up.
Once he realised his little ploy wasn't going to work, his true personality came out full force.

I recently retired from a 30++ year policing career. I don’t miss much of it….but when that drunk said why you guys being so weird….😂 I do miss moments like that. It was the perfect tone that some of those guys could get just right 👌

Wow, nothing but a hoard of antisocial misfits that seem to never learn anything about making their lives better. I didn't see even one that shows any respect for anyone else nor themselves. The same people over and over for the most part also. Their families did a really great job raising this crew. God bless the officers that must deal with these people everyday. It has to take a awful toll on them, but still they give nothing but respect and professionalism to all of them while the detainees lie about every single thing.

@@tarab3746 I agree to much of what you said and there seems to be little money to be made with mental illness, but I'll add this one thought. There is some help, in fact free drugs and rehabs that are all but free because you and I pay for them with tax money. My point is that you have to want to get help or be helped and that's the biggest issue . Most people LIKE getting high and battling authority, decency and sabotaging their own lives. I wish you or I had a better plan.
You do realize being highly drunk and having just been arrested and thrown in jail which clearly has caused these people to spazz. Lol i wouldnt assume that this is there baseline behavior even when drunk unless they literally were arrested daily for years.

I went to jail once, 50 years ago when I had just turned 18.
My bench fine was only $18.00 for public intoxication, but I had to call my Mom to come and pay that.
Jail suxxx. Sux for me.
My one night in jail taught me that.

Videos like this make me VERY very glad I only drink at home and that I'm generally a happy drunk. I would be utterly mortified to behave as belligerently as so many people do on Jail and even MORE mortified to have it recorded for people on RUclips to make fun of and judge. As someone else here said "you can either learn to control yourself or be controlled by others".
That first scene was crazy. The drunk guy was my size and the officer was an absolute unit. It was only going to end one way.

It’s not the alcohol that makes them wild. They are mentally unstable to begin with. Many people get drunk n don’t act crazy or violent. I think alcohol is disgusting, but the times I’ve ever been drunk I’m so peaceful n quiet. Last think in the world I’d ever be drunk is aggressive. I don’t see the connection, unless someone is unstable to begin with.
@@trashgalaxy I grew up in Texas and know what you mean. Texans love to drink and get into fights. I used to hang out at biker bars when I lived in Waco. But the reality is that a drunk is a drunk no matter where you go. The only difference is the accent and cowboy boots.

The man is charged for the illegal things he did and he needs to learn a very good lesson.
No. As the show made clear prior to the start of this episode. "All suspect's are presumed innocent until found guilty in a court of law". Never allow personal or cognitive biases ie, the fact that someone may be extremely unlikable etc. Cops lie to affect arrests often enough for me to have heard of hundreds of cases which were Ultimately dismissed due to that fact.
He's still in their house. He has to follow the rules. It's very simple. Any exceptions to this rule would (potentially) create further consequences with other ppl. You'd know this if you had worked or been in such an environment.
I despise drunks. My ex-wife left me because I tried to limit her consumption to prevent her from getting sloppy drunk.
He life turned out to be a mess with 2 children by 2 different men, no child support, living with her mom and dad for several years…what a loser.
Makes me wonder what families do when a drunk and disorderly member gets combative at home. Dangerous and sad.
