My heart goes out to the families of the victims they killed, and it's their fault they got behind the wheel in that state. Signs are everywhere, "Don't drink and drive"!! Plain as day. Too many lives lost.

This isn't from the current year, its also worth noting that it's not clear if they are actually transgender or it's that its just the clothing,
it's also from quite a long time ago, unless they're using CRT tvs on the walls, and if they are today........that says a lot
This is why you don't apply current year politics to programming etc from years ago

That didn't occur to me, but it makes sense now. It's very sad but at some point a person should have their license revoked, for everyone's safety including their own.

I love the officer that dealt w/the trans that works as a prostitute. What a kind, sincere, compassionate person. He just seems like a genuinely great man and truly has a gift working w/ these individuals.

not really. he kept referring to her as "he" and asked her if her profession was hard since she's a "male." also asked her why she chose this "lifestyle" when we all know by now nobody chooses to be trans. in fact, i'd argue she was treated with less respect than the average criminal, cuz at least when non-trans people come in they are referred to by the pronouns they're most comfortable with. also it's "the trans person" or "the trans woman", not "the trans". trans isn't a noun, it's an adjective.
@@darkyagami6038 I just commented that it'd be nice if the officer quit using her dead name (although if she hasn't yet changed it legally I understand why just for their paperwork). I also said people don't 'choose' to be trans - it ain't easy to transition and deal with the consequences from family and society.

Agreed but cops have to weigh up the risk of him staying in normal cuffs and actually psychically harming himself or putting those restraints that could traumatise them. Yeah it would suck so much and of course it would be terrifying but they are trying to protect him from himself. But they could have at least taken the hood off once he was in the cell.
You would probably change your stance if you were to get spit on or bitten buy someone in that condition. I'm a 30-year ER nurse and I've been on the receiving end of people in that condition with NO law enforcement backup.....what I wouldn't have given to have a head-covering and a body restraint for them.
Its painless, but I could see how someone could view it as torture. However, they can't allow people to disfigure or kill themselves.
So they should just let them spit on everyone and accept being bitten. Ok.

A total of 3200mg in a day is considered safe… (granted, not all at once), but it’s not going to kill you.

It’s weird that the “body guard” restraint and hood didn’t calm that guy down. There’s no way that would heighten someone’s agitation and anxiety when they’re already aggravated.
It isn't made to calm them down. He explained it is to restrain them so they can't hurt themselves. It did exactly what it was supposed to do.. After a while we was ready to chill and get it off.. He even thanked them.. I understand that it would suck to have that on but it def did its job.
@@WorldopainI disagree. If you go back and listen to the Lt. when he said it seemed to aggravate him more than calm him down. And in there lies the game...these instruments aren't used to "calm someone down" , it's a deterrent, who wants to stay in that restraint? So, they sober up safely and it makes the cops jobs safer. And that's OK. But recognize the language being used. Because sometimes these methods end tragically

Our brother Greg fought in 4 different locations in response to 9/11. Only to be killed by a drunk driving teen in her Mom's Cadillac. Him and his wife were on a date night on his new Goldwing motorcycle. The chick treated it all like this was joke. Her Mother was no better, in fact her son had just been handed down a sentence in the same courthouse only 1 day before.

The girl Tara seems to be bipolar and is self medicating with alcohol. I had a good friend that was just like her. He hated the way the meds made him feel so he’d quit taking them and drink instead. We could always tell when he was off the meds easily because he only drank when he was off his meds. It’s actually pretty sad because he just couldn’t understand why he had to feel like a zombie when on meds so that he could function within society.
Bipolar disorder is a hard disorder to treat.
It gives you depressive lows but the hysteria which feel like a high.
Some people wish to regulate their medication in order to feel the highs but not the lows, except that’s not how the medication works and also the highs are still very troubling.
Another reason why people don’t take the medication is because although it helps you still feel the depressive lows so for them at least without the meds they get the highs
