When he said that - marijuana, lsd, and psilocybin ARE narcotics, but they are far from being dangerous and deadly like he was inferring at 9:20. The only thing they should be arresting people for is driving while under the influence of these drugs or being violent, etc. Possession and/or use by themselves shouldn't be clogging up the jail intake and ruining peoples' lives. People who have psychiatric responses to these drugs or for other reasons should be brought to the hospital not arrested and strapped to a chair unable to move at all to be left alone for hours.

They mentioned at the end there was an amnesty box, they all had the opportunity to realize they might not slip through.

Objectively: These people were out to party and have fun. They brought substances which they were going to use for themselves or for friends - no harm was ever going to be done. If we are so keen on protecting people from drugs, the focus should be on education and legalization which makes sure that people know how and what they are using. Watching this is so incredibly sad and i hope i live to see the laws change on this. No young persons life should be ruined because of a plant.
They get high and hit family it is a problem
The education is already there without legalization and we already have problems, how is it logical to believe that legalizing drugs would REDUCE the amount of drug use and destroy FEWER lives? It's a common argument I know, but it makes no sense. And although you said "No young person's life should be ruined because of a plant", you're actually describing the sad reality of drugs themselves; young people's lives are ruined because of "a plant" every day, not because they are arrested, but because once they start using they can't stop.

I've not heard of Electric Daisy Carnival before, but from the sound of it and the way the party-goers are "dressed" (if you can call it that) seems like quite the party. In Vegas, a place built on gambling, drinking, music and partying. So I'd rather expect drugs there. And what do they find? Small personal amounts of commonplace drugs. The one cop was bragging about keeping the volume of drugs off the streets, but the amount they showed was trivial. Okay, so no drug is completely harmless, and some of the ones they mentioned can be dangerous (depending on amount and usage, etc.) but really, it's not as if they had a trunkful of bricks of heroin.
@GameliEL Auceps huh?
@GameliEL Auceps if that was the case, I'm pretty sure they would have included that.
It's not always what they bring, stuff gets brought into the city from elsewhere and sometimes at large large quantity. I watched a documentary about trafficking the other day and thousands of borderline lethal pills can hit markets, so the idea for law enforcement is let's say you get a call for an OD, you get them to hospital and search them and they have XYZ on them. They figure it's XYZ they try and find out where that came from, and try to stop it. So basically it becomes a filtration process to try and catch larger activity in many cases.

this is so messed up; these are the most harmless festival-goers ever
And they committed a crime
@@a.garcia8086 Yes, lets put all of our resources into getting every criminal all the way down to jaywalkers off the street! We have too many cops in homicide and not enough in busting kids for weed, things need to change!
@@a.garcia8086 boom and if they were ANYBODY else they would be locked up there is no difference
@@starchildofthe90s7 Non violent drug use is not a crime.
They were driving while potentially high in a busy city, I would hardly call that "harmless". I do tend to agree that non-violent addicts should be in rehab, not jail, but if you're behind the wheel of a car that changes things.
All I can say is these cops will look back on this when they retire and think to themselves “what did I do”.
NAh, they wont give it one single thought while they are in their fancy fishing boats throwing down a case of coors while catching bass. Maybe they might pull an image from their memory banks to rub one out to but they won't be feeling bad in the least.
That bag of "dangerous narcotics" lol
They're fascists, they'll sleep like babies
They have no reason to have regrets, they're just doing their jobs by enforcing the laws on the books. If you want the laws changed we live in a democracy, it's on you to change them.
@@johnnyrambles weird how they never seem to get the lawbreakers in the high rises tho
Holy crap, those kids got felony charges??? seriously??
It’s not just raves that have drugs, any concerts, shows or festivals. Not just dance music events 😂
Just imagine if they decriminalized simple possession, it would save tax payer millions and millions of dollars. A lot of money that could be spent on, I don't know, maybe going after real violent criminals! Such a waste of time, resources and money! Most of these charges will be reduced or dropped, most people won't serve any jail time, and the fines they pay do not come close to the cost of arrest, booking and court costs... Just wasting money on very low level offenses...
Volent criminals are the ones who sell these drugs. Buy these drugs, and you're supporting violent crime.

@@soulscanner66 Amsterdam figured it out.... decriminalization works, just not the way commiefornia is doing it...
👏👏👏
agreed. they are an unlawful for profit extortion and racketeering business.
I think it's pretty chickenshit for the cops to be arresting these kids that are just wanting to have a good time in Vegas. I didn't see any harmful drugs, just the having a good time ones. I'm surprised the city fathers put up with this. A lot of these people will never go to Las Vegas and spend money there again.
Right? Go clean up all the crackheads and heroin addicts. Leave the weed and shrooms alone!
Even one of the deputies said all drugs. So instead of logically using resources to target drugs like heroine or meth or cocaine or fentynol or crack. They went after people for quarter bags of weed and eighths of shrooms.
Mormon's and the Mob run Vegas go figure
The land of the free!!! This arrest will prevent them from getting into some schools and jobs...over a dime bag...
It's absurd ecstasy and mushrooms are safer and cause less damage than alcohol
"Take all that bling off your face" is something I hope is never said to me.
Unless it's after the festival.
"Dangerous narcotics" this cop obviously doesn't know how to party 🤣🤡
He could shove every bit of what he pulled out there into his stomach and the most dangerous thing that could happen is his babysitter lets him run into traffic.
Thank the lords he took that HUGE AMOUNT of dangerous drugs off the streets😂😂
@GameliEL Auceps sir, weed and shrooms don't kill people. Clown
@GameliEL Auceps Fatalities from what?
@GameliEL Auceps you don’t know what you are talking
4:39 - "Somebody call 911 now!"
and the lady cop turns her head so we don't see her laughing.
These cops are exponentially more disturbing than the concert goers ever thought of being,
probably went home and killed their neighbors dog after filming
I feel bad for the woman who seemed insecure about her age. Rave culture should have no age limit, she shouldn’t feel ashamed for participating in a festival. Music is inclusive, she should be proud of being open minded and exploring new genres
It looked more like the cop was age shaming her.
Why can’t a person just be happy? Why do you have to be shamed for just being yourself
63 and still ravin so stfu you young people and check these moves🧸🪅🪁
She should act her age and grow the f up.

It's sad to see that the cops waste time on these people just trying to have fun, especially when there's real criminal activity all over Vegas. This is what forces festivals to move underground. As a society we can change the drug laws through legislative measures and we should start a.s.a.p.
Sure, because look how great the US is doing with legal stuff like alcohol and guns. What happens in Europe is that the police turns a blind eye on big (authorized) events, as opposed to raves, as long as stoned people stay corralled within the festival. They maintain a presence just outside the venue, to discourage antisocial behavior, but that usually about it. The idea is to keep people OUT of the system, especially if they are only “guilty” of personal use. With that being said, drugs should remain controlled substances, with the exclusion of marijuana, that is being legalized in a lot of places around the world.
Just imagine if someone had stopped you, before you got your mind all twisted into drugs!
What a waste of time and resources.
Drug laws in this country need to change. It angers me to see my tax dollars wasted on this.
People still believe that. Lol taxpayers money goes to Israel, and now Ukraine and to fund globalists
What makes you so sure that if drugs were legal, your tax dollars would be well spent elsewhere?
@@dirtyharry5320 Prohibition is idiotic. Glad to live in Germany were Marihuana will be legal soon.
@@dirtyharry5320 I dont, but I KNOW they arent well spent on this.

Never have understood the whole drug thing and never will. I always want to be in charge of myself at all times. Self control.
That 911 woman is NOT from the music festival....she's a regular or what we call in the ER a frequent flyer
the crackpipe champion of the strip... she has her own bunk in the jailhouse.
This episode is 7 years old, the laws have changed and become more lenient since then.
but still not legal. full legalization and regulation with the goal of harm reduction while not infringing on our right to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. Notning will stop people from taking drugs, prisons can't keep them out. once we acknowledge that as well as the fact that ones personal decision to alter their brain chemistry is their right and has nothing to do with morals then we can make progress toward the goal of fewer deaths, fewer people in prisons, and fewer vicious criminal enterprises getting rich and powerful by controlling the supply.
