I don’t know if you trying to say Bryce Lee wasn’t a real fighter, I trained from the Dan inosanto camp Of JKD! Will check out as I am an expert on Bruce Lee, in fact I’ve done 3 Bruce videos last of which I exposed his murder.

Thank you for doing this video, I'm glad someone with a considerable viewing audience is making clear that this Beerdy guy is spreading so much complete bullshit about Bruce Lee. I have wondered why someone would obviously knowingly disperse so much misinformation (to put it kindly) about anyone! It hadn't really occurred to me that his motivation could be financial! Disgusting! I don't really want to hate on or bash Shannon Lee/The Bruce Lee Estate too much, but, Jeezus, if they're offended by Quintin Tarantino misrepresenting Bruce Lee shouldn't they be offended by a complete bullshitter like "Beerdy", as well? I don't know how much it really matters, I mean, Bruce Lee's dead, we can't offend him personally, but didn't he talk about "honestly expressing yourself, not lying to oneself ..."? He seemed to greatly value the truth (ugly, upsetting, or not), you'd think people who admire him, are inspired by him, might value the truth, too!
You can always put money on the Lee Estate doing the wrong thing.
There's a lot of click bait monetized channels out there with descriptions of "Super rare footage etc" but it's all just the same rehashed material. They have killed the smaller Bruce Lee dedicated channels like my own but I'm proud in knowing that I never monetized my channel and there's nothing on my channel which is click bait. Love your channel and content. Keep up the good work and thanks for keeping it real 👍

Beerdy's channel is a treasure trove for Lee haters, adding undeserved credibility to their cause. It also feeds the fanboys fandom. One episode, he claims to know what Lee died of. I think it was overtraining. At least it wasn't too much sex, like some believe, lol. I believe it was something as simple as cortisone overuse, from the injections he got for his back injury. Back when they didn't know about all the nasty side effects like muscle wasting. Love your channel.

Fact: Grandmaster Baxter never forgave Bruce for that one inch punch. He trained in escrima and nunchaku for 6 years before challenging Bruce a second time at Golden Harvest studios. This time it was caught on film and Bruce killed him. I know this is true because a headless martial arts expert with ripped abs and hypnotic nipples told me.

Well said Kung Fu Genius I've been saying for months on The Beardy Channel that he just spouts lies.For example when he claimed that Bruce Lee made himself into an Astral form making him being able to know what technique that someone was going to throw beforehand.Totally something out of Doctor Strange.

Jackie Chan said Bruce Lee was so fast and strong and exceedingly good. He was born with a talent. It passes me off when people put down Bruce Lee and say he was just an acted that trained in Wing Chun. Bruce Lee was taught. Wing Chun, He formed Jeet Kune DO, was trained in Taekwondo, Karate, Judo, street fighting, boxing, tai chi and Hapkido.
I am so glad you did this as I have watched Beerdy making up stories and always challenge him in comments.

Since this video is about the subject: Usually i dont care so much about Beerdy, but i thought i have to send you this message since you are a Wing Chun Instructor. If you have time go over to his channel. He uploaded a video claiming some "Kung Fu Master wants revenge on Bruce Lee for beating up his teacher" and they fought. The Kung Fu Master is Wan Kam-leung, and Beerdy shows fotographs of him with Lee on the ETD set. We know they were only doing movie choreography, but Beerdy claims the foto's were taken from the fight. He even put the name "Wan Kam-leung" as graphic in the foto in his video. Sure, it is Sifu Wan, but making such a BS statement is simply too much.
So maybe this is a story you want to mention in your next video about Beerdy (should you do one), only a suggestion of course :). And i think it wouldnt even be a bad idea if maybe someone could contact Sifu Wan and tell him about it. That's really too much imo. As a martial artist since 1982 and 15 time UFC vet, pro boxer, kickboxer and JKD practitioner your perspective on Bruce Lee is identical to mine. I find myself feeling like I'm in a tug of war trying to defend Bruce against the guys that say he was just a movie star but at the same time needing to explain he was still just a man... With flaws. Which the nut huggers can't hear.

This episode has been amazing so far! That channel - I had listened to one of his videos, and had some gripes, but didn't think much of it. Then I came across that "I trained like Bruce Lee" video, while looking for stuff to spice up my workout regiment. I just skimmed through the video and thought it was absolute BS, and RUclips stopped recommending me that guy, as well! Actually, when you had mentioned that video in a previous podcast, I knew what you were talking about the second you said it, and died laughing inside - this episode is hilarious!

Whenever you make the video, while it is invisible from your uploads, it still appears in the podcast playlist. To avoid none patreons from viewing it, after upload, make sure to not assign it to that playlist, or unassign it from said playlist, so that no one can access it without a link. Hope this helps 👍

I have a theory about Baxter. Beerdy is a huge Arnold fan, and Lou Ferrigno played the green "Hulk" in the 1977-1982 TV series, starring Bill Bixby as Dr. David Bruce Banner.
Since Banner was officially death, a pattern in the show was he always used a fake surname, but it always began with B. He was David Brown, David Bremmer, David Belson, David Bellamy, etc..
In the episode "Child In Need", which was a story about a young boy who got abused by his violent and mentally ill father, Banner used the surname Baxter. Maybe Beerdy got the name from there :D.

He's used some footage I had online of Bruce Lee's 1967 demo before most ppl had seen it online, he used it then the story broke that there was real footage of Bruce and Beardy got all the credit

Thank you. I got introduced to his "I trained like Bruce Lee" video where he didnt even have any actual proof he did it and his statements about exercise is absolute horseshit. He said he did it not to brag but felt the need to said he was shredded and lots of energy (which is contradicting), I didnt finish the video because it contained so much bullshit.

Well..If there's anyone that thinks Bruce Lee wasn't any good, Then listen to every single person that worked with Bruce Lee from the late 1960,s until 1973. They all said he was top draw. And although I wasn't even born until March 1977. Watching all the footage that I've seen tells me he was a true master in what he trained for. He trained everyday 9 hours to perfect his self defence ability.
You really can't make this stuff up! But sadly, a few years ago, I was talking with an older gentleman, who was in his 70's, who had bought into the lie that Bruce Lee died from overtraining: due to that older gentleman's age, I didn't want to argue with him; so I asked him where he got that information from; and of course, he referred me to that "Beerdy" channel.

@@TheKungFuGenius And even worse, he was a black belt in one of the Japanese Martial Arts; and due to that false information, and due to his age, he was big into warning young Martial Artists from overtraining, which would produce very bad students. So in our conversation together, he was trying to teach me not to overtrain; but due to my size, I am in great need of overtraining, if there is such a thing.
Finally, someone had to say it Beerdy has been putting out a lot of disinformation about Bruce and he's very misleading with his commentary.

I loved this video. Another channel that spreads misinformation (though, I don’t think it’s malicious) is BruceLeeRealFight Channel. Personally, I think he’s just saying things HE thinks are true. It’s not as ridiculous as Beerdy, but he definitely needs to be corrected because it’s tarnishing Lee’s legacy. I really hope that will be your next video.

Have been fascinated by Bruce for 26 years now. People many times think of him as a god or as a worthless fighter. The truth is somewhere in between. He was a great martial artist. I think Beerdy is selling us short on the story of the photo. This was before digital so you didn't go around shooting everything and anything. So what was the deal here? Did some guy with a camera think "oh, Grandmaster Baxter is chatting with the trophy guy. That's a photo worth taking." and get lucky? Or did Grandmaster Baxter tell one of his students to grab his camera because he was going to go put the trophy guy in his place?

No, Beerdy isn't selling us short.......HE'S LYING TO US. The guy in the photo is Dan Inosanto during a demonstration. Unfortunately, many of the unknowledgeable, naive fans believe everything he says and question NOTHING.
I'm SOOOOOO glad Kung Fu Genius did this video to expose this guy. He does a lot more harm than good by spreading this type of blatant lying an false information.

Hell, the physics in Star Wars is more believable than this. But, hey, nerds like me are quite used to suspending disbelief to enjoy a good story...but this guy? I don't see the story to justify the fiction, unless he's a deep-level humorist along the lines of Andy Kaufman or something.

As a longtime Bruce fan I’ve glanced at the Beerdy channel in the past, chuckled, and moved on; can’t remember the last time I sat and watched it. And, yeah, he’s like a kid on the playground making shit up to his friends to make them oooh and ahhh. However, in this internet age where anything we say and do can be broadcast around the world in an instant, he is-in the cringiest way possible, lol-a modern-day mythmaker. Or to be technically correct, a legend maker since myths are made up and legends are based on “fact.”
I’ve always said there are fewer and fewer real-life heroes in the world, but for me the Little Dragon was one of them. When he was alive the press had a field day making shit up, positive and negative, about him; after his death the movie industry continued the yarn spinning with their Bruceploitation crap. But was what they did any different from accounts of ancient warriors or religious figures, dime novels on Western gunfighters, or the current Yip Man franchise? Back in the day it was word of mouth, plays, books, papers that spread the “facts” about heroic figures; today it’s RUclips. And Beerdy, lol. And, yes, Beerdy ain’t exactly a fountain of truth. But, hey, he’s found his niche aggrandizing a public figure who inspires him and others, attracts their interest, and whether you love or hate that figure, makes a good number of viewers click on any video about them. Not many deceased people can do that.
