Just one of his posts that cracked me up was the footage he said he had to go through so much to get it when it’s been on you tube for years now. I just now saw that he put out a new video that he’s got knew footage of an actual fight between Bob and Bruce but that dame footage has been on you tube again for years. And it’s just them practicing.
Alex, just a little correction: Robert Chua was not an interviewer (or a TV-host) but an exclusive producer and production manager for TVB, and he was prepping Bruce prior to the actual interview/TV-show.

On a more KFG note, love the podcast, been listening/watching since the end of The Dudes. So I was wondering, since I study Hung Ga, and I know very little of WT, but I've read that some "long bridge" techniques are taught when learning the long pole and I understand that WT is a very close game/art. My question is, once you reach the Luk dim Boon Kwan, do you further develop the long bridge techniques, not just philosophically, but take what is learned in the weapon and translate it into hand to hand combat?

Don't listen to guys like Beerdy. Listen to those who had direct contact with Bruce Lee. Bruce Lee and I sparred before he was Bruce Lee. He was very fast and ver strong. He used 2 feints so fast on me that looked like one, but because I was very slow, I was able to block his final delivery. It was a tie.

He confirmed my doubts when he claimed that his Wing Chun Instructor refused to spar with him because he (Beerdy) had become too powerful and dangerous. Really? Any serious student of the martial arts understands that masterful technique combined with speed and agility can overcome brute strength. You study martial arts to be able to defend yourself when attacked. And in all likelihood, if you’re attacked, your attacker will be larger and stronger than you are. And what about control? In my experience, a novice is less likely to incur injury sparring with a black belt than with another novice. A good black belt will not injure someone unintentionally. His Wing Chun Instructor wouldn’t spar

Then he describes how he went to an MMA school and challenged the best fighter there. Sounds suspiciously like the rival school theme in one of those poorly dubbed Kung Fu flicks aired at 2 am for the semi conscious. He said the MMA fighter came in fast and low for the takedown. Beerdy just grabbed the guy’s head and pressed it against his hip until the guy tapped. Really? I think anyone having experienced martial arts outside of watching movies on a couch would have trouble swallowing that implausible scenario. Anyways, it is what it is. Enjoy your channel….
Really fantastic points! To your point about sparring, this is also the reason why when I BJJ training, I do private instruction with black belts - so I can avoid being injured and still teach my own classes lol

Does anyone know what this guy looks like? I administrate a Bruce Lee group on Facebook and I think this guy uses a lot of different names / Identities on Facebook to post things. I want to know what this guy looks like because sometimes the videos start out with a guy talking. I want to know what he looks like so that I can help filter him from the group. I did the same thing, I tried to search for this guy for hours and couldn't find anything about him. What does he look like? What's his real name? He speaks with a British or European accent (it's not a USA accent) and he sounds like he is of African ethnicity. Help!!

While the Beerdy criticism is quite valid, it seems to have developed after Goldenbell praised KFG, and KFG returned the praise. That gives the appearance of an unseamly and coordinated attack to take the lead in the BL you tube market.
This is so funny, I cannot wait to show this to Dre and Mikey! Randos on RUclips are coming up with KFG “Bruce Lee YT market domination” conspiracy theories. Actually, I need to thank you, it’s very flattering. From my perspective (and all flattery aside from being included in a conspiracy theory), this is a bizarre comment to wake up to. When people who don’t know you personally completely mis-characterize your intentions (or perceived hidden facts), it’s difficult to know how to react to it. Humans are a pattern seeking primates, so it’s normal that we see these causal connections, even where none exist. The Internet has given rise to the Internet sleuth who takes pride in figuring things out that the unwashed masses don’t see. But I’ll just tell you from the deepest bottom depths of my heart that you could not possibly be more wrong, but it’s still flattering.
A few things though:
I’ve exchanged three IG message threads (tops) with “Goldenbell” and I couldn’t tell you his real name if you held a gun to my head. While you say that my criticisms are valid, the weird thing is that you seem somehow to be upset that people would want to rally together to push a new narrative away from a guy who completely lies and makes up stories about Bruce Lee. If this were true, I don’t see what the problem would be (even though it’s not possible) to get millions of viewers away from someone who makes up lies and fictitious stories, and move them towards other channels that try to push real information. In other words, it would be a “conspiracy” with no teeth or controversy. But even this is not my style. The RUclips market is worldwide and there are plenty of people on RUclips for some nameless liar to have millions of views with his made up stories about Bruce Lee and millions of other people to watch legitimate information about Bruce Lee. There is no scarcity mindset mentality that makes sense for a platform like RUclips. All of these people could be watching everyone’s videos. We are not taking viewers away from anyone or losing viewers because of some big fake RUclipsr. That’s not how this business works, and I wouldn’t even say I’m part of the RUclips business. My biggest month on RUclips, which is not typical, earn me a whopping $300 which doesn’t even pay for my parking spot in Queens.
I teach Wing Tsun for a living and have been doing so for over 20 some odd years. My podcast is mostly about my martial art and Bruce Lee comes up regularly because he is also a former practitioner of it. But I am not at all a “Bruce Lee channel”, just look at a lot of the other titles of my episodes, and my “ask me anything” podcasts are often not about Bruce Lee at all. I’m OK with having a small niche podcast and not at all looking for “RUclips domination“. Goldenbell is a proper RUclipsr, I am a podcaster and long format podcasts don’t do well on RUclips (because the average person on RUclips has the attention span of a gnat, and anything longer than five minutes with too many words is too cerebral for most of the RUclips world). I enjoy the discussions I have with my cohosts and interview subjects, and could not care less about RUclips domination.
But I really need to thank you, I’m gonna show this to my parents later today. “Mom and Dad, I’m part of a ridiculous, conspiracy theory!” I think to some small degree, I’ve made it. Lol.

The workout video was crazy with the really long hours of time Bruce didn't actually do. There are people who'd try that and injure themselves trying that, and that's truly awful. Or teach it to them completely? Currently train a UK army officer and surprisingly they don't officially do unarmed combat training.

What kind of Bruce Lee fan hasn't heard it until now? Then there's that clip from the Chuck Norris interview Birdy has so helpfully restored for us? It's been around on RUclips for years, too, in better quality, Birdy didn't "restore" it, his clips are of worse quality! It's a good interview, by the way, even if you're not a huge Chuck Norris fan that (along with that bit of Chuck Norris on the David Letterman show from around the same time) it's worth watching. Bruce Lee is highly regarded in the Black community-his sex appeal rivals Jean-Claude Van Damme and Antonio Banderas- the Sisters love Bruce Lee. In the early '70's, everything was about Bruce Lee- Heck, I knew what Bruce Lee looked like before Muhammad Ali (can't wait to tell you about the argument my Maternal Grandparents had regarding Muhammad Ali).
