I'm so lucky to have grown up with Bob. I'm from Detroit and I've been following him since 1967, all around the city in local clubs. In high school, we determined what we were going to do on the weekend by where Bob was playing. He was always a great guy, coming out into the crowd to talk to us. I'm so happy to see the success he obtained. He deserved it! I've got great memories of that guy.
Jack...went to see him when I was 17 in 80....my girlfriend was 15...looked 18...but not 21. My car broke down...some guys picked us up...took us to a bar...mind you I was 17, she was 15. She was a beautiful lanterns na girl...all I remember after that is her dancing on the tables...and I only remember Bob Segar wearing a white tux...and the rest a blur....wild teenage days.
In 89' I moved from Saint Louis to Laguna Beach and I had never been to California before and the 1st time i drove up to Hollywood to hang out with some friends I was driving up La Cienega Blvd and the Hollywood hills were right in front of my windshield and guess what song came on the radio ?? Yep Hollywood Nights ! Great connection to this song !

I saw Bob Seger in concert in 1982, in Raleigh, NC. He was Incredible! He sounds as good in person as he does on his albums-that's what we listened to back then, that and cassette tapes. I know I'm showing my age. I still have the ticket stub 41 years later
Rock'n roll never forgets!! By bob seger! I've noticed you haven't listened to that at least on a reaction video! Crazy vocals!! Listen to it! You'll love it!!
I'm so glad you found this song. I really feel this one, in the mid- eighties, I left a small town in central NY to follow my two best friends to LA( "see some old friends, good for the soul"). Many time I 'd look out over the lights of LA and wonder how the heck did I get here. Great memories. Hope y'all (I'm in TX now :) have a great weekend.

Such ands iconic song from my youth. I can remember popping in an 8-track (that's how old I am) and listening to this on Seger's record titled "Stranger in Town."

Saw Bob Seger in concert around 2004 or 2005. Phillips Arena in Atlanta, 15 thousand people from age 17 to 77. The man came to work that night. Staggering performance. Encore after encore. Unforgettable.

Reason #199 for why the 70's were so great. Bob Seger was part of the true underbelly of the decade, because everyone knows the big stars and biggest hits, but there were so many like this who made absolutely phenomenal music that most people that weren't there don't know about. The depth of good music was truly generational.

I’ve been a fan since The Bob Seger System. But those three consecutive albums from 75-78, Live Bullet, Night Moves and Stranger In Town were absolutely great.
First song I heard from Bob Seger was "Still the Same" a great, great song. Well, this song began a life long love of this man's music. "Stranger in Town" is one of my all-time favorite albums, every song like you said, could have been a hit in my opinion.
Cali girl born and raised, if you lived here you knew exactly what he was singing about. Hollywood cruising down the boulevard was just a blast , but when you head up Mulholland drive in the hills heading to a party in a house over looking LA was epic.
