Bob's voice has more soul than purgatory
No kidding. Liitle Drummer Boy proves that comment.
❤
Best comment of the day!
Love the response ... 😎... That's A LOT of soul{s}!
Bob Seger his style of how he creates a feel of a story in his songs ? Just pulls you in and makes you feel like you’re right there? Like Night Moves you can almost feel and smell even the way he expresses himself in the songs? You know what I mean?”
Like your experience it and causes your mind to take you away into your senses?”
It’s powerfully magnetic “ love his Music “
Nothing like traveling with his music playing as your on the road.
Especially at night “
It feels Good like you can just go and go…..
Bob Seger is surly a true musical Artist.
Concordo ❤
I'm so lucky to have grown up with Bob. I'm from Detroit and I've been following him since 1967, all around the city in local clubs. In high school, we determined what we were going to do on the weekend by where Bob was playing. He was always a great guy, coming out into the crowd to talk to us. I'm so happy to see the success he obtained. He deserved it! I've got great memories of that guy.
Jack...went to see him when I was 17 in 80....my girlfriend was 15...looked 18...but not 21. My car broke down...some guys picked us up...took us to a bar...mind you I was 17, she was 15. She was a beautiful lanterns na girl...all I remember after that is her dancing on the tables...and I only remember Bob Segar wearing a white tux...and the rest a blur....wild teenage days.
Bob would play the pavillion at Wamplers lake.
We are the lucky ones. Bob was killing it since 1967….
Ah, the good ol’ days
Bob is Detroit and Michigan. He is revered in this part of the country. His concerts are something special. He’s retired now in Michigan but there is a rumour going around that he may be considering one more tour. Hope it’s true. We miss Bob. ❤️
If you listen to live bullet album when he introduces the band and where there from . He says he is from Ann Arbor Michigan.
@@michaelmaguire9119 Yes I’m aware he is from Ann Arbor but he represents Detroit and Michigan too.
@@Lakeshore14 point taken Carol. But where your from matters. Grand Funk Railroad is from Flint Michigan not Detroit Ann Arbor Lansing Pontiac etc.etc. Stevie Ray Vaughn is from Oakcliff Texas a suburb south Dallas and he represents all of Texas but his songs hit home more to where he grew up
@Michael Maguire I have to agree.
Thanks.
@@Lakeshore14 your welcome Carol I wasn't trying to be a butt head either. I no Bob Seger is well loved In Michigan and in the world . Isn't the song down on main street about Ann Arbor ? State and main st were the two streets by the university of Michigan I remember. Help me out on this one. Do you remember the song off the live bullet album called member of the UMC ? It starts off I want to be a doctor lawyer or professor member of the UMC . I always thought it was a tribute to the university of Michigan because that is what they produce alot of at that university and after all he was from Ann Arbor . I don't no if that was what the song was about ? Either way I loved it. He is an amazing artist. The whole state of Michigan should be proud of Mr. Seger
Everyone LOVES Bob Seger. Every song he's written is a timeless classic! Bob's a living legend.
One of the best vocalists ever, and a damn good story teller too!
One of my favorite songs from his incredible catalog
👏❤️❤️❤️
He is a treasure. I’m so glad that I got to see him twice. I hope that y’all do get to see him. I think he retired, but you never know.
Got to see him twice too! In Atlanta, the Omni the late 70's. I was amazed at how many songs GREAT songs that he did. Song, after song. Wow
@@dlla2661 I saw him at The Omni in ‘83 and then Phillips Arena in 2007 (I think).
Excellent cut from Seger in his most successful period. A genuine RnR Hall of Famer.
Criminal how long it took him to get in.
Seen him in concert 5 times and they were the 5 best concert I’ve ever seen. He’s so amazing. Thank you for doing this.
Asia & BJ, you'll love his "Rock And Roll Never Forgets" and "Katmandu"!!!! BANGERS!!
Turn The Page is a classic.
@@billwalker7556and old time rock and roll
@@obi-kennawobi07 old time rock and roll was featured in a movie Risky Business. The scene showed Tom Cruise
dancing in his underwear to that song. How
song Like a Rock was featured in Chevrolet truck tv commercials.
This story is so easy to follow. A naive boy falls for a street smart beauty and he gets taken for a ride. Epic lyrics and epic singer.
In 89' I moved from Saint Louis to Laguna Beach and I had never been to California before and the 1st time i drove up to Hollywood to hang out with some friends I was driving up La Cienega Blvd and the Hollywood hills were right in front of my windshield and guess what song came on the radio ?? Yep Hollywood Nights ! Great connection to this song !
Uau ❤❤💪💯
Another gem form Bob Seger. One of my favorites. Great reaction.
Cool, thanks!
Saw him in 78. This was the last encore and by that the me he had us all in his pocket. Top 3 concerts in my 62 years of going to concerts.
Yes i love me some Bob Seger so glad y’all are getting into him❤❤
His soul, voice, and story telling makes him a legend. One of my favorites.
Bob quit touring in 2017. I always wanted to go see him!
Bob's last concerts were in 2019. Saw him in concert 13 times, the last being June 21, 2019 at Pine Knob Music Theater in Michigan.
I really like his song Fire Lake.
He has the incredible ability to tell a visual story in his songs! "Born with a face that would let her get her way" Wow!
Haha when he sings, "He knew right then he was too far from home" and BJ starts nodding knowingly.
"He saw that face and he lost all control"
Travelin' Man/Beautiful Loser is my favorite. Ramblin' Man, Night Moves, Old Time Rock n' Roll, he had so many great hits, he was fire in the 70's and still is.
My favorite Bob Seger song. He’s another crowd pleaser. This song always gives me goosebumps. He makes me feel it.
Cali girl born and raised, if you lived here you knew exactly what he was singing about.
Hollywood cruising down the boulevard was just a blast , but when you head up Mulholland drive in the hills heading to a party in a house over looking LA was epic. Then the turnoffs parking your car making out with your man..
He obviously met a California girl that showed him a taste of the LA life in the summer.
California in the 70s and 80s was mostly natives. It was surfing in the morning and cruising the strand on Friday and Saturday nights. There could never be any place I wanted more than Manhattan, Hermosa and Redondo Beach. Riding a motorcycle holding on tight...best times of my life.
You two are a beautiful couple. Wishing you all of God’s richest blessings. 🙏🏻
I saw Bob Seger in concert in 1982, in Raleigh, NC. He was Incredible! He sounds as good in person as he does on his albums-that's what we listened to back then, that and cassette tapes. I know I'm showing my age. I still have the ticket stub 41 years later
Bob is a great storyteller.
My man got bamboozled. Small town boy, Big city girl. He was blinded by the lights. I always loved this song. Even though I lived it once too. Ugh! That ache is there for life but the good memories of it keep me from crying bout it. ✌️❤️ from Ky
I read someone say about ( bob Seger) that he sings every song like he may never get to sing again, like his career could end at sny time. So he gives it everything he has . Holding nothing back .
The way you guys love on Bob Seger... I WISH you'd do Brave Strangers
Such ands iconic song from my youth. I can remember popping in an 8-track (that's how old I am) and listening to this on Seger's record titled "Stranger in Town."
If you can ever see him, do it. Was so glad I did. He's the man. One of the best song writers and singers of all times
The most underrated, singer songwriter & live performer of all time
I have always loved Bob Seger, from the first time I heard him! Powerful voice!
Bob is one of the greatest storytellers in the history of Rock. All of his songs come from a personal level.
Bob Seger, Detroit boy with a down home sould and a voice like Southern Comfort whiskey. Long live Bob! PEACE!!!!!
I'm from Detroit City! Bob Seger is deep in our bones over here. LOVE watching you two feel this music. Beautiful honest reactions.
Bob is a great song writer.
Just a side note, an eager young musician from Detroit was a part of The Silver Bullet Band. Bob told this young musician you can't write, and sing, go West! ...later he hooked up with a drummer vocalist from Texas, the backed Linda Ronstadt...She said you two are good enough to form your own band...Glenn Frey, Don Henley...the birth of The Eagles.
Thank you Bob. Thank you Linda. Thank you A and B!.♥️
And Mr. Henley was encouraged by Kenny Rogers.
Classic from the good Ol days. Love that up-tempo led by that drummer .
One of my most favorite Bob Seger songs! The energy is just out of control❤
He had lost all control!
Like Bob says,Those are the memories that make me a wealthy soul🤘
It thrills me that ya'll appreciate Bob Seger. I am a Detroiter born & breed! Bob Seger is the ONLY artist I would love to meet. You guy's should have grown up when these songs were first released. PURE AWESOME, like no other artist has ever done, aside from Kid Rock. Great times growing up in the Motor city! Some time youtube Seger's speech being inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame. Introduced by fellow Detroiter, Kid Rock. You will witness the most hubble human being you will ever know. God Bless!
higher and higher and higher they climbed 🎉
I'm so glad you found this song. I really feel this one, in the mid- eighties, I left a small town in central NY to follow my two best friends to LA( "see some old friends, good for the soul"). Many time I 'd look out over the lights of LA and wonder how the heck did I get here. Great memories. Hope y'all (I'm in TX now :) have a great weekend.
It's really just a 3 major chord progression, but the intense tricky gallop the drummer plays, combined with Bo'b's voice, the soulful backups vocals and the exprssive keys equals big hit fo sho!!
The vocal melody helps too.
The 70's were classic 3 chord rock and roll. Easy and fun to play and sounds great.
Heard this song way back, and was hooked Goosebumps.
I can listen to Bob all day! I'm from Detroit & I'm standing! Please react to him singing THE FAMOUS FINAL SCENE.
I grew up in the 60s and 70s South of Detroit and Bob Seger was always playing in our house. What a time it was for music. We also played a lot of Ted Nugent & Alice Cooper.
You should see him do this in concert!! This song rips!!!
We had the best music when I was in high school (75-79) Absolutely the best songs.
Bob Seger has been something to listen to for years that always gives me chills. Awesome voice and musician. FIRE! Thank you both. I think you two have done his "Night Moves" but not sure. I haven't time to browse your playlists. If not please do Night Moves. Again thanks ☺
Saw him in 1996, had the privilege of sitting front row center stage....needless to say, they could have moved my chair, since I didn't use it the entire concert....A night I will NEVER forget!! Great reaction guys~
The drum work in this song is incredible.
First time I heard this song, I was driving down Hollywood Boulevard!
There are a few artists that are just great story tellers, and Bob Seger is one of them. Not to mention he has one of the best voices of those artists. I completely get what Asia means by his style. You can't really compare him to anyone. His style is definitely unique, and you know him as soon as you hear him.
Great driving song by Bob Seger! I love how all of his songs tell a story😊Thanks guys for reacting to this one - love your comments!🧡
Was the first concert I went to..the 1986 Like a rock tour...was a brotherhood type atmosphere..everybody knew the words to every song...even though there was drinking at the venue ( outdoor )...the brotherhood feeling overrode any stepped on toes or accidental bumps and not a harsh word was heard...much less any puffed up chests....and they sounded great...loved every second of it...still blows my mind that shakedown was his only #1 hit
First song I heard from Bob Seger was "Still the Same" a great, great song. Well, this song began a life long love of this man's music. "Stranger in Town" is one of my all-time favorite albums, every song like you said, could have been a hit in my opinion.
I saw Bob Seger live at MSG about 15 years ago. He was around 62 years old and sounded incredible.
Just made my everything. Bob is the best.
He sings the story! Many of those stories he lived through 😊
Flashed back to a memory of my Dad and this song.
He can sing it but one time I remember him suddenly stopping on an note, looking at the stereo system in exasperation as he said…
Bob! Bob! Spit it out or cough it up man, ‘cause I can’t sing that way!
Then he looked at me and said, Do we have any gravel laying around in the yard (with a wink).
Those Hollywood Nights.
😂🙌🏻💜🤍💙🥁🥁🥁
This is definitely in my top 5 of Bob Seger songs.
What a story teller, in everyone of his songs!
Reason #199 for why the 70's were so great. Bob Seger was part of the true underbelly of the decade, because everyone knows the big stars and biggest hits, but there were so many like this who made absolutely phenomenal music that most people that weren't there don't know about. The depth of good music was truly generational.
Great song, one of my favorites of Bob Segers! He never disappoints!! Give some respect to the drummer on this cut - he never doesn't take a break with the beats!! ❤ 😮
You nailed it Bob is indeed magic. One of my favorite songs from his incredible catalog
I saw Bob Seger at our high school in the early 70s in Hamilton Ontario
I’ve been a fan since The Bob Seger System. But those three consecutive albums from 75-78, Live Bullet, Night Moves and Stranger In Town were absolutely great.
It does not matter what he is singing, every song he has written is a league all it's on.
2 drum parts are going on at the same time here and the double snare hit every other time was intended to simulate tires hitting the cracks in the road.
CHANCES ARE BOB SEGER ,MET that Young Lady while Him and the Silver Bullet Band were ON Tour and stopped in Los Angeles to do a Concert ! In the Song KATHMANDU, BOB SEGER sings WARNER BROTHERS are such GOOD HOSTS , He tips his Whiskey glass to Toast them! .BOB SEGER and the Silver Bullet Band have a STAR ON the Hollywood WALK of FAME Sidewalk!
Saw Bob Seger on his final concert tour in Boston in 2019. Bob was 74, then .Sounded as good as ever. Took our 14 year old son . My son still talks about that concert today. Amazing, storyteller, musician, voice.
Rock'n roll never forgets!! By bob seger! I've noticed you haven't listened to that at least on a reaction video! Crazy vocals!! Listen to it! You'll love it!!
BOB Seger is one awesome Singer and performer. He sounds just as good Live as in the studio. I Had the privilege of seeing him Twice in concert and Bob and The Eagles Were equally Awesome. ♥️😊♥️
Motown music, Ted Nugent, Kid Rock, Eminem, Madonna, Rare Earth, too many to list, Detroit should have the Rock n Roll hall of Fame, not Cleveland
I agree with you 100% but then again I am born and raised and Detroit.
Alice cooper, parliament funkadelic, the stooges, mc5, the white stripes, the romantics, the almighty strut, Halloween, seduce
Cleveland got it because they didn't have anything else
it's simply "soul"... bob
soaked it up... he got addicted to the motown sound and it pours out of him.
@@arlo2203 YES!
Saw Bob Seger in concert around 2004 or 2005. Phillips Arena in Atlanta, 15 thousand people from age 17 to 77. The man came to work that night. Staggering performance. Encore after encore. Unforgettable.
'HOLLYWOOD NIGHTS' has the f-ing sound of zooming up an onramp to a freeway at more than 60mph and its another long ride to work or a long, GOOD ROAD TRIP. lol! It also matches right up with a caffeine trip, too! LOL!
Bob once said that he wrote this after seeing the model, Christie Brinkley.
Bob is 78, my how time flies
PURE MAGIC !!!
I love the double beats on the drums. Silver Bullet Band was PERFECT, as is Bob
Saw his last tour ...second to last show before pandemic shut everything down.. Great show
Fun fact; the music exec listened to the demo on the drive home. When he looked down and saw he was 15 mph over the speed limit he knew it would be a hit
Great song. Well done. Try his Old fashioned rock and roll song too ❤👍
you guys need to watch this song when he did a compilation with Jason Aldean on TNN's Crossroads, absolutely amazing version and he is over 70yrs old and still has amazing pipes and energy, it is a must watch!
Damn, those drums just gives you chills
I grew up always hearing Bob Seger on the radio and took it for granted. But 30-40 years later I realize no one else in recording music history could tell such a sincere story as well as he did in only 3 1/2 minutes or less
Amazing song, takes me back to high school
I saw them play in Greenville NC back in the day. Great show live!
Bob Segar took over the Jukebox in the 70ies and 80ies at the bars and clubs!
hi guys you all must look at the video just to see him live is amazing..
Always a phenomenal story in his songs
B Sefer, Like A Rock. Unforgettable
I was fortunate enough to see bob Seger Live In 1978 at Cobalt hall in Detroit which is now the joe Louis arena Where he did 7 consecutive soda shows His live performances are fantastic if you ever get the chance please go to sleep
this Night Moves and Turn The Page are my favs by him. Thnx guys!
He has a story to tell in his singing ,a great.
Bob Seger is fantastic,,,,Top 10. 💥💥💥👍😎
There aren't many better than Bob Seger. The way he tells a story and it just builds and builds, man, so good. Legend status for sure!!
Seger always equals Greatness!
Absolutely!
