One of the tours of bobs I went to he had about 5 ladies come in high heels, dolled all up Struting across front of stage to this song ,,what a visual 😊
Saw him for the 1st time at the end of his career during his farewell tour........ BEST CONCERT I EVER ATTENDED! BS delivered, in spades. Had a hell of an entourage up on stage, counted 12 people at one point. Knew he had a lot of hits, but the number of hits he played was mind boggling..... all songs I grew up listening to on the radio. he paid particular homage to the past icons with projected images on a back-drop curtain that was simply heart felt......... a gracious, humble, and very talented entertainer! As an aging rocker, BS still delivered the goods. An AMAZING artist. That show will always be in the forefront of my memory. Great reaction guys, TY.
Asia & BJ, you'll love his "Rock And Roll Never Forgets" and "Katmandu"!!!! BANGERS!! edit - Bob formed The Silver Bullet Band in 1974, but they didn't get credited till 2 years later on his 9th studio album "Night Moves". "Strut" was from his 11th album 'Against The Wind'.
Yesssss!!! “Fire Lake” is a great song that doesn’t get anywhere near enough appreciation, even from Seger fans! “Still the Same” is another of my favorites.
I've still got a couple pair of pretty high heels in my closet but haven't worn them in ages. Nowadays I live in my cute, sporty little Skechers.🤗 Check out Bob's first hit, "Ramblin' Gamblin' Man" from 1969. Great groove. Also "Hollywood Nights" & "Shakedown" ( from "Beverly Hills Cop II). All 3 are upbeat & fun. 💙☮💙
Bob wrote this as a homage to the new 80's women ~ It was a new decade, women were becoming strong and independent, blazing their own trails ~ Bob was all for that, but he still "loved to watch them strut" while doing so, LOL
My friend's and I saw Seger and the Silver Bullet Band in 1986 at Madison Square Garden. The concert was SO FANTASIC, we scalped the tickets and saw them again two days later at Brendan Byrne Arena, East Rutherford, NJ.
Then I've been hearing the correct subtext, because I like to hear it as "they do respect her butt" even though the lyric is "they do respect her but they love to watch her strut.
When Bob wrote this song, he said it was about Jane Fonda. He did an interview about this back in the 70’s My brothers who are Bobs age and they all loved Jane Fond she was the IT Girl back than She did an amazing Strut in The movie Barberella
Bob is the reason I went from paying $2.50-$5.00 a concert ticket to $13.00 a ticket, because his concert was awesome and he deserved that price increase!- Vocals never missed, always on target- I still love "Main Street" as my fave song -- and yes just an amazing concert and experience!! So not only is he an amazing singer, he also had an amazing manager to say- we need to make more money for you- and BOOM- we kids all lined up and paid it- And we created wonderful memories of seeing him live- what an experience!
That is probably one of his most underrated songs. I don't know why it wasn't a single. Although that album had so many hits, it probably got the short shrift for that reason
"Sunspot Baby" by this glorious band will move you just like this tune just did. I guarantee it. It will also invoke some interesting conversation between the two of you as well.
I grew up in Bob Seger’s stomping ground. He is one of the gems from Detroit!! I can’t tell you how many times I’ve seen him & the silver bullet band. Michigan also gave the music world Kid Rock and Eminem. They all still live in Michigan too. Staying true to their roots. Mad respect for all of them.
Loved both your reactions, now you can understand why he's my number one Southern Rock Singer of all times,oh and BJ you know good and well Asia loves to watch you strut too 😉, hope you both have a blessed day 🙏
Guys, greetings from te far north of Alaska! I love your reaction videos! Asia has the best facial reactions, really into the groove of the ones. BJ, your on my high-school groove... way too cool and smooth! Love the way you look at all types of jams. Would love to seat down, crack some beers, and go through the highs and lows of different music that has hit the scene in the last 40 years... love it when you're jamming to my high-school sound track... 76 to 80... keep up the good work and enjoy it all!
You will love segers song The Fire Inside. One of the great vocals of his later career and a tremendous piano in it. The lyrics still ring true today as well.
Pretty much anything off of Bob seger's live bullet album is great. Recorded live at cobo Hall in Detroit Michigan his band was firing on all 8 cylinders and the recording is top-notch for a live album. I think my personal favorite might be Bo Diddley off of that album.
Bob said he wrote this song about Jane Fonda. I love Bob Seger. He started out with his band that he called the Bob Seger System. I actually have a t shirt from those days. After that, he changed it up a little and introduced his Silver Bullet Band. Jane Fonda can kiss my ass. 😘💕
The Silver Bullet Band has been Bob's backing band since the early 70's....like Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band or Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers.. Whoever posts these YOUTube videos may or may not bother to mention the Silver Bullet band, but they should.
In 2018 he did his fairwell tour. When he came to Raleigh I was fortunate enough to get to go. Got a shirt that I will hold onto & give it to one of my grandkids
Seger has also stated that "Her Strut" was inspired by political activist Jane Fonda and her appearance before the Campaign for Economic Democracies. He stated "I was quite proud of her for doing that. I admired her crust.
Back in 1980, when this came out, I told my friends, who were some of the architects of hip hop and rap, to sample of this, but they weren't that hip back in 1980😥
SUMMER OF '83--------I SAW HIM 5 TIMES IN THE 70'S & 80'S, & BOB SEGER WAS AWESOME !! SONG WAS INSPIRED BY JANE FONDA, SEEING HER WALK INTO A CONGRESSIONAL HEARING & EVERY MAN WAS STARING AT HER-------IN '78/79--------EVERY MAN WATCHED HER STRUT ! BOB WAS INSPIRED TO WRITE A SONG THAT BECAME A STAPLE OF STRIPPERS IN THE 80'S. ------------MJL, 75 Y/O
You must know that he wrote that for and about Jane Fonda, the actress and her protests of the Vietnam war and other issues. She would wear those 60's outfits that would want to make them watch her strut.
You two are so cute. And Asia is rightll.....no woman wants to wear 6 inch heels, makes a strut more like a stumble and fall, lol, "Fire Down Below" might be a good follow up.
Saw Bob in concert at the Huntington center in Toledo still the same he did two shows Been performing since 1969 his first hit was rambling gambling man
I have hoped that you guys would react to this song! So now, I haven't watched your video yet. But I'm giving it a thumbs up and of course you're reading my comment. I love the back beat of this tune. And Seger's right on with the double meaning in the lyrics. I hope that you enjoyed it as much as I have. Can't wait to see you react to it. Peace!
I`ve always said if I was ever a stripper, this would have been my song,lol..seen Bob back in '87 and it was Awesome!! Love him and one of the best entertainers I`ve ever seen! Keep On Rockin'
Seger is the master at two things: 1) Songs that go, "I was a young man once, now I'm middle age. Young was better" and 2) Songs that should be hilarious yet bang anyway, like this one and "Come to Papa"
I think the Silver Bullet Band was named after Coors beer. I understand it was one of Bob's favorite beers. BTW, I think the but in this song should have been spelled with two Ts.
Every Bob Seger song I know is with the Silver Bullet Band -- even if they don't get the credit. "Night Moves" was the first song of theirs I remember hearing and it's still in my top 5 of their songs .
Evidently YOU don't know many Seger songs then , he had lots of bands before SILVER BULLET Bob had a band when he was 18 called the Last Heard in 1963 !
One of the strippers I worked with years ago had this outfit with chaps that really accentuated her strut. When I told her how perfect this song would be for her she started playing it all the time for me when she wore those chaps.
Wife here.(sorry I'm late my internet's been out)..."Asia got her strut down"..You two are the cutest..Love Love Bob Seager " They do respect her...BUT..they love to watch her strut"...The play on words is everything in this song..Asia.., BJ wants to see you in the 6 inch!!!
Who would love to watch Asia strut?..... at least about 14,000 who watched this reaction... you're a lucky man BJ..... thumbs up!
... you'll never regret exploring the Bob Seger rabbit-hole.
One of the tours of bobs I went to he had about 5 ladies come in high heels, dolled all up Struting across front of stage to this song ,,what a visual 😊
All of Bob Seeger’s songs are bangers! His live album is awesome.
Live Bullet
I can't wait to see your reaction to "we got tonight" and "fire lake"! All Asia has to do is smile! Such a beautiful smile!
I love how that snare drum is so nice and heavy and firmly locked into that pocket.
He wrote this after watching Jane Fonda on tv that inspired him to write about the modern woman of the 80’s.
Also I have to add song Sunspot Baby to the mix!
Rock n Roll Never Forgets is hardly ever mentioned yet is a banger
I go all the way back to Bob Seger and the Last Heard. Heavy Music was his first record I bought.
I love Bob man he really takes me back to being a kid! Fire lake may be my favorite song by him. 🔥
Gotta love "Fire Lake" - back-up singers? Glen Fry, Don Henley, Timothy Schmit of the Eagles.
That's My All-Time Favorite Song, Fire Lake !!!!🔥🔥🔥
Fire Lake has to be one of my favorites by him too!!!
Yesssss!!! “Fire Lake” is a great song that doesn’t get anywhere near enough appreciation, even from Seger fans! “Still the Same” is another of my favorites.
Fire lake is a great great song Agreed
I've still got a couple pair of pretty high heels in my closet but haven't worn them in ages. Nowadays I live in my cute, sporty little Skechers.🤗

Oh man, just found this reaction. How'd I miss it!? Love me some Bob Seger
1:21: I agree with BJ.
Bob Seger has so many good songs. My favorite is "Hollywood Nights".
My friend's and I saw Seger and the Silver Bullet Band in 1986 at Madison Square Garden. The concert was SO FANTASIC, we scalped the tickets and saw them again two days later at Brendan Byrne Arena, East Rutherford, NJ.
This song is supposedly inspired by Jane Fonda and her Strut, as seen in the movie Barbarella
Then I've been hearing the correct subtext, because I like to hear it as "they do respect her butt" even though the lyric is "they do respect her but they love to watch her strut.
Me and BJ definitely agree on Bob's voice. One of a kind and awsome every time you hear it.
When Bob wrote this song, he said it was about Jane Fonda. He did an interview about this back in the 70’s
My brothers who are Bobs age and they all loved Jane Fond she was the IT Girl back than She did an amazing Strut in The movie Barberella
Yes we did!!!!!! Looking at Barberella today is just funny, but back then, it was all about Jane. Rock ON!
You should check out Bob's song "Katmandu", a cool rocker with cool lyrics. I don't think I heard anyone react to that one before.
Bob has so many, many great songs. PLEEEEEASE check out FAMOUS FINAL SCENE. I promise you'll love it. It's my favorite of his songs.
That is probably one of his most underrated songs. I don't know why it wasn't a single. Although that album had so many hits, it probably got the short shrift for that reason
You two are so adorable together! ☮💜
I love the side growls, oohs, and ahhs in Bob's vocals in this song!!! Checkout Understanding.
🎶Oh, they do respect her "butt"... 😛
Although this is probably not Bob Seger's "best" song, it is my personal favorite. I love the guitar in it.🤘
Yeah. I think that is intended to be heard both ways.
"Sunspot Baby" by this glorious band will move you just like this tune just did. I guarantee it. It will also invoke some interesting conversation between the two of you as well.
My wife hates that song lol i play it all the time
Yes Sunspot Baby please
I have seen countless dancers dance to this at many a gentleman's club over the years
I grew up in Bob Seger’s stomping ground. He is one of the gems from Detroit!! I can’t tell you how many times I’ve seen him & the silver bullet band. Michigan also gave the music world Kid Rock and Eminem. They all still live in Michigan too. Staying true to their roots. Mad respect for all of them.
My ex-husband used to sell pot to him. lol... He grew up around Ann Arbor. (I think Bob Seger lives in Orchard Park, NY. )
Loved both your reactions, now you can understand why he's my number one Southern Rock Singer of all times,oh and BJ you know good and well Asia loves to watch you strut too 😉, hope you both have a blessed day 🙏
Bob just had a birthday. 77 years old. Rockin!
Guys, greetings from te far north of Alaska! I love your reaction videos! Asia has the best facial reactions, really into the groove of the ones. The Silver Bullet Band is Bob's band. period. Love Bob and that good old De-troit rock.
You will love segers song The Fire Inside. One of the great vocals of his later career and a tremendous piano in it. The lyrics still ring true today as well.
Bob has so many styles. This song is kinda funky. 🥂Strut girl!
Love Bob Segar ... Strut ... yes sir ... 💯🔥💯
The Silver Bullet Band was always "the band" since the 70's. He put out albums under his solo name but MUCH later.
Asia ans BJ, you complete each other, breath of fresh air.❤
My favorite Bob Seger song has always been "Against the Wind".
Bob is one of the best. I’ve seen him 3 times and he really knows how to motivate an audience.
Love you guys.
Man is a national treasure!!
Pretty much anything off of Bob seger's live bullet album is great. Recorded live at cobo Hall in Detroit Michigan his band was firing on all 8 cylinders and the recording is top-notch for a live album. I think my personal favorite might be Bo Diddley off of that album.
Horizontal Bop, Hollywood Nights, Betty Lou, Roll Me Away, Feel Like a Number, and Rock n Roll Never Forgets.
Sunspot Baby!

Bob Seger and the Silver Bullet Band "Night Moves" and "Hollywood Nights" are big hit songs they did in the 70's.
You guys are so fun to watch!! and Bob Seger is one of my favorites as well.
Seger played all the instruments on HER STRUT.
Wow! That's cool.
I don’t think he played every instrument on it. He played guitar, but not the main solo. He does play the outro solo on No Mans Land
Seger's "Like A Rock" will make you reflect.
“6 inch heels, you knew she’d never walk a step”
RIP Michael Stanley
Back in 1980, when this came out, I told my friends, who were some of the architects of hip hop and rap, to sample of this, but they weren't that hip back in 1980😥

One of my fave Bob Seger jams. Out the seat love for this jam.
You will enjoy "Feel Like A Numbers " just another great song by Bob and the Band!
Michigan's own! That voice is so damned great!
Any hope for a Bob Seger live stream ? trust me you won't be disappointed . he wrote this about Jane Fonda . Happy Mothers Day !!
Coors silver bullet was introduced 1991,
Bob Seger introduced the Silver Bullet Band in 1973.
Bob was first...lol
Y'all keep it up, hell Yeah
Super, super vocals from Bob on a rocking tune ! Awesome stuff !!

I love Bob!!! He’s one of my favorites!!!!! I wanted to marry him when I was a teen!!!! LOL 😝!!!!!

That’s why Bob Seger is my favorite!!!!!
Bob was one of the greatest voice in show business
I have hoped that you guys would react to this song! So now, I haven't watched your video yet. But I'm giving it a thumbs up and of course you're reading my comment. I love the back beat of this tune. And Seger's right on with the double meaning in the lyrics. I hope that you enjoyed it as much as I have. Can't wait to see you react to it. Peace!
The soundtrack of my youth. Memories..........................
Back in the day, "Strut" 🔥and "Come to Poppa" 🔥were on the playlist in every strip club coast to coast!💯🤗💥❤✌
Nice recovery, BJ..... Grew up with Bob, WAY before Silver Bullet. Blessing of being from Motown!
I`ve always said if I was ever a stripper, this would have been my song,lol..seen Bob back in '87 and it was Awesome!! Love him and one of the best entertainers I`ve ever seen! Keep On Rockin'

1) Songs that go, "I was a young man once, now I'm middle age. Young was better" and
2) Songs that should be hilarious yet bang anyway, like this one and "Come to Papa"
This song was about Jane Fonda in her “Barbarella” days which I believe was in the 60s.
Asia and BJ, check out this song at the Victoria's Secret fashion show; a perfect fit.
Bob delivers. You gotta react to " Sunspot Baby " next. That's a bad jam.
That's how you rock and roll! Thanks guy's!
My fav band of all time!
If you like this, you'll LOVE Seger's "Come To Poppa"! SLAMMING SONG!
I can see Asia getting ready to go out and this song comes on... Aw Sht😲 trouble
Great choice. Bob has a long list of crazy good songs!
You got that right!
I think the Silver Bullet Band was named after Coors beer. I understand it was one of Bob's favorite beers. BTW, I think the but in this song should have been spelled with two Ts.
The Silver Bullet Band was his band in the 1970's

Asia you ain't gonna catch me in nuttin but flats or flip-flops....lol
Kiss has a song called "Strutter". Same gig. Good stuff...
I've seen many a dancer do her thing to this song, ''Main Street'' and ''Fire Down Below''!
One of the strippers I worked with years ago had this outfit with chaps that really accentuated her strut. When I told her how perfect this song would be for her she started playing it all the time for me when she wore those chaps.
Excited to see y’all “hear” this!!
It’s referring to Jane Fonda.
Brave strangers is a great song.
I used to have this album on vinyl.
Bob Seger - "Travelin Man/Beautiful Loser" - " Night Moves" - "Katmando" - and more !!!
Bob Seger! The Best! Detroit Muscle 🇺🇸💪 Enough said.
Song is all about the male gaze, but it’s equally a girl power song. Still love it after all these years.
