Theres nothing like driving down the road knowing yo load aint going no where! Iv’e been trucking since 2017 semi’s and hotshot but a month ago I finally started my own hotshot. Before I order the rest of my equipment what binders are better in your opinion? The yellow foldable ones? Or red? Iv’e only used the red ones in my past. Once again, you produce an excellent video. I'm always learning something on each of them. But a special thank you for what you've done. You basically let the industry know that Hotshots are capable of handling certain loads that Semi setups typically handle. But within reason, of course. I'm now making adjustments on the load boards to broaden my horizon. Appreciate you G. And continue to grind.

@Macc Media TV do you have a preference between the 4.44 and 4.89 gears? I've seen a few videos with the 4.44 and they seem to do pretty well. Also is there a reason to get a trailer that is rated for 40,000 when the max gross you can be is 43,000?

I seen a guy get a container up on with a dove tail without a fork lift. Those container without fork lift pay way better. So that does make a difference. Wish I would have known about it before I got my mega ramps. That’s a smart investment.
Never even thought about that! Good to know but id probably want to see what that looks like and what it does to the deck. I’ve seen the tilt trailers do it but not the dovetail.

Hey as far as I know the farm or military exemption is for active military use or ag use only not for hire stuff for hire is required
It depends on the state. They all have different regulations. Some do, the ones we have been exempted we have spoke to the state directly to confirm. We have have them give us the statue to confirm.
Is hotshoting freight better than cars? I stay in SC and I was playing with the numbers and I realized that fule price going to Florida with a load of cars at 300ea would destroy your profit both ways... This totally discouraged me... I was thinking that hotspoting was going to be my way out of the struggle.... Obviously I know I could take something closer but it's looking like cars won't bring in any money... I was going to haul cars until I season my MC and then switch to mostly freight.

I got it printed at the port. I don’t personally have a printer. I use truck stops or ask shippers to print. But most people over the road use HPRT Wireless Bluetooth.

How do you know when you go load something where exactly to put it on the trailer to not be over axle weight
Thats a great question. I usually ask questions about the commodity and just look it over to see what part might have the heavier components. I go by a 60/40 rule depending on the length. The heavier parts to the rear (over the axles) the the lighter towards the front. Weight distribution can be tricky sometimes. Best thing to is go on the scales ofter for a bit to get familiar with the numbers when you load different weights and place it in different locations on the trailer.
