I've had this problem with 7K axles. My trailer is a Diamond C 2020 35' that I purchased new. My problems began 6 months after purchase . At first it was just one spring that broke and I replaced that with a new local made spring. I also had a spare spring made and carried that in my tool box. There was some tire wear but I caught the problem right away. The spring broke at the end where the bolt goes thru. I didn't know what to look for because the spring looked normal but the axle looked like it had moved a couple of inches. 2 months later I had a blow out just as I was coming into a town for my delivery. I had checked the tires at 5 AM and they were fine but 2 hours later the tire was in pieces. The other tires were also worn. The tire shop sent 2 men and a mobile tire truck. They replaced the tire and found the hanger bolt was worn thru and gone. I got a $500 dollar bill. I decided to take the trailer to TNT Truck and Trailer in my home town. I had them inspect everything. Turns out ALL the bolts were worn and 2 more springs were broken. I ordered 3 more springs from my spring maker and replaced everything. The bolts from the factory were installed in the raw steel hangers and equalizers. I had everything replaced with bolts and bronze bushings. To date (1 1/2 years latter ) I've had no problems In summery: The springs and bolts (and maybe the axles) are made in China. The springs break and so do the bolts. I had to have 5x springs made by a local spring maker and all the bolts & bushings replaced. Had to replace 3 of the 4 tires and spend about $4k in parts and repairs. This trailer has never had a load greater than 9,000 lbs. I use CAT scales often and I know my weights. The trailer is rated for 15,500 GVWR. The trailer itself weighs 5,500 lbs. The spring shop says the factory springs are junk. They have been in business since 1916 so maybe they know something we don't. John Schubert 406 Hot Shot

Good understanding of the dually v single wheel. If you get a blowout on the dually rears you have some control at leastif loaded, single rear your on the wheel and pucker factor takes over.
The rear hanger on the passenger side is missing the stop that is usually welded in there. If you notice the leaf spring is riding against the top of the hanger, that's causing the miss alignment.

Amen to the electric stuff. We are not ready for the grid nor are they ready to have these EVs pull anything. Back to the drawing board for electric vehicles
If your towing less than 22k no reason to have a dually. G-rated tires 4400lbs. Who's the jackass that put e-rated tires on both the truck and trailer literally bare minimum. My single 19.5's rated at 5k per tire.
All 1 tons and trailers come with them. You don't need 19.5s to upgrade though at least not on the trailer. E rated tires are plenty on a dually truck. Never had a blowout since I got tpms and I've hauled up to 25,000 pounds on those tires. Trailers are a different story though
So with that set up you can only do 23k?
23,700 if I remember correctly since I edited this video. Yeah, it's pretty low. I'll be back in a dually soon but with a shorter trailer
@@CPSteveMiller hell yeah.
I would never drive an electric piece of shit vehicle! I'll stick with the Cummins! No problem.👍
When loading a flatbed we used to try and stop our load at the center of the tandem axles for proper scaling.
Doing these single loads I let them figure it out 😂
