Lmao that 5th inning ain't gonna even be remembered in 1 year. Do you remember any 5th innings from last year's world series? How about the year before that? Exactly
This one was more emotional. Became a Dodgers fan as a little boy who went with his Dad to see them play against the Mets at Shea stadium. I was 5 and picked the Dodgers to win because of their Jerseys. Been a fan ever since. The Yanks broke my heart in 77-78, but we got em in 81. Beating the A's in 88 as underdogs was sweet. 2020 unfortunately had the Covid asterisk. This one in 2024 was everything. Erasing a 5 run lead on the road against the Yankees and winning the the title, is Legendary stuff. Thank you players and coaches for making this the most memorable one of all.
Well said!!! LOVE IT! Met Fernando out in the pavilion/bull pen area when I was 12, best moment of my life, except he was flirting with my mom...🤣She was a looker and still is!
Went to many Sunday home games, at Dodger Stadium, with my mom and grandfather, sitting in the Right Field Pavilion. This was when Garvey, Lopes, Russell, and Cey were the infield. So many great memories. The three of us were together in front of the tv when the Dodgers clinched the WS in '88. Sadly my mom passed a few months later, and my grandfather passed the next year. He was buried in his Dodger blue bomber jacket! I know they were cheering from above last night!
@bbplizzybee Thank you for sharing. That team had steve Yeager rocking the shades behind home plate too. Loved those guys. This one just hits a little different for me as an older fan. Certainly one for the ages. Dodgers forever my friend!!!
I think Treinen is one of the more under appreciated pitchers in baseball. That slider he threw to rizzo had to be one of his best ones the way it just disappeared.
Ha! We aren't crying. That's the way it goes sometimes. I'll say this, though. If a team can't do the ordinary things well they won't win. No matter how talented they may be. The Dodgers are relentless and the dumbest thing a team can do is give them extra chances because of errant play. Hopefully Boone gets fired. See you next season.
@@davidpaz9389 Boone didn't make one of the errors why would he get fired? Blame the guys making hundreds of millions of dollars that dropped balls, threw like a scared little girl or didn't run all the way to first.
@@chrisb7198 His lack of situational awareness in the fifth. A smart coach would have went to the mound when the bases were loaded, before the bleeding really started, to talk things out and slow the game down for a few moments. So many Yankee fans calling the game in 5th inning, saying things like "Yankees won't lose the series in new york" looool glad they all got to watch it at home and that loss will be part of the history of that stadium forever
Wish I stayed up to watch this live. That 5th innings choke by the Yankees was unbelievable. Arron Boones face when the 2nd and 3rd run scored was priceless he had no idea what was going on and how to turn it around! Great game and great comeback by the Dodgers ⚾
Buehler has regained absolute confidence in the last few games, who couldn't do the proper job in that intense situation during the season, so what changed him?

Congratulations to the Dodgers for their great run to WS victory. Special appreciation also for Freddy Freeman and the impact he’s made. As an Atlanta fan, I’m happy with our 1 st baseman Matt Olson but Freddy will always be a legend for the Braves also.
That series win is one of the most beautiful sights I've seen in a long time, and what made it sweeter was the yanks feel apart and lost it on errors, absolutely outstanding. Love from a Blue Jays fan.
Dodgers stable throughout and worthy of champions, on the contrary, Yankees giving up 7 runs with 2 ERA says it all. Judge woke up tho, ruined their momentum, and then they destroyed emselves.
Judge did nothing this postseason except this game finally got a hit, but also dropped a flyball that started the Dodgers rally and the Yankees downfall.
I thought the game was done when Yanks were up 5-0 and looking forward for them to go back to LA to win, didn’t realized how things changed in the 5th and there on
No no no. It really is. When you have a supposedly great team in the World Series. That’s called completely blowing it. This is the “World Series” best of the best. A 5 run lead in this is much different. The Yankees plainly found all the ways to lose and no ways to win.
I think Smith's pitch distribution strategy deserves high praise. I think he changed his pitching strategy after Tatís Jr. hit a home run off Buehler in Game 3 against the Padres.
'Twas a great line, to be sure. But getting paid tens of millions to throw, or hit, and to catch a ball? Somewhere along the way, humanity surely did lose the plot.
We were given a celebration of two WS parades. I was there for the parade and can honestly say, there were more in attendance for this parade than the Lakers 3-peat parade because I was at that one as well! LA fans LOVE our teams. Win or lose, we are there!
@@angrytater2456 They could have used him last night, as a great team they over came the inability to throw a strike. Atlanta has a bad habit of loosing some of their best players, Freddy Freeman comes to mind.

@@tonyguerrier2258 Dodgers players were dancing on the bases during that comeback while they were still down, didn’t show any more humility than the yankee players did when they were scoring and coming on here and trashing a fan base after their team just lost the World Series shows some real humility on your part 🙄 but thank you for proving my point

congratulations (grudgingly) to the Dodgers for rising to the top of MLB. I am particularly happy for Mookie Betts and Showtime Ohtani, two of the greatest players of our time. Well done - they won like champions.
What a WS for Buehler. Scratching a 2 year itch with an Hershiser-like performance. Redemption for Betts and Freeman from last year’s goose eggs debacle. And Dave Roberts tamping down years of criticism with a cerebral and patient juggling of assorted relievers, limited number of starters, and a constant parade of injuries. Kudos to the 2024 Dodgers, playing as cohesive a team as you will see for years to come.
@@Calibrownsfan In past years I think he just overthought/overanalyzed everything to the point of paralysis. Last night, in the bottom of the 8th when he visited the mound and pounded Treinen's chest, asking him how mush gas he had left, was old school managing at its most classic. Roberts left him in, Blake got the K, end of story. The old Roberts most likely would've pulled Treinen at that point.

Honestly... Most underrated part of this Dodgers team. They have heart and soul. All of them seem like really good dudes. Humble, easy going, just all around decent folks. They play the game the right way. Not all bout flash or being douches. Freeman, Kershaw, Ohtani, Betts, Muncy Teoscar, Keke, Buehler... All of em seem like dudes id just wanna sit and have a beer with. Just a wholesome af group in the club house. You can tell its all love and they enjoy the game. Their greatness is just a side effect. If anyone didnt know or needed another reason to love them... Mookie married his high school sweetheart. Freeman lost his mom when he was 11 and thats why his Dad and him are so close. Kershaw is incredibly religious and has donated a lot to the church close to his ranch in Texas along with outreach programs. As a lifelong Red Sox fan, believe me, I am 100 times more grateful than you. The only thing more lovely than the Red Sox winning the crown is seeing the Yankees throw it away in an epic collapse of hapless defense....At home 😁
That 5th inning will go down in history.
Up 5 runs at home with your ace on the mound.
Congrats Dodgers!.🎉
Ace that didn't want to run to first base... Not sure what happen there. Would Def like to know why he didn't.. Should be routine
And pitching a NO HITTER to start the 5th.
Lmao that 5th inning ain't gonna even be remembered in 1 year. Do you remember any 5th innings from last year's world series? How about the year before that? Exactly
@@DeadEye622 It's going into the history books as the worst inning in the WS of all time. You better believe it will never be forgotten!
Dodgers getting gifts from the Yankees. 5 unearned runs.
I love this game. It has everything. Congratulation to the Dodgers and thank you Yankees for all you do to baseball this season. Respect from Germany.
Yankees fans will forever shiver whenever the top of the 5th comes up!
@marcoscortez1687 lol too funny... thanx for sharing. I still have my Valenzuela t shirt. Glad we bleed Dodger Blue! Enjoy this one.
Well, idk that it really came as a surprise to anyone. Dodgers paid for this WS in advance. That stacked of a roster? Lol please.
As a red sox fan, i want to say congratulations and THANK YOU.

I’m a Braves fan and Treinen gives me nightmares. He’s lights out almost every F’n time. Well deserved for him to have some spotlight in this game. GG

@@davidpaz9389 That was a phenomenal retort. Hats off to you.

@@chrisb7198 His lack of situational awareness in the fifth. A smart coach would have went to the mound when the bases were loaded, before the bleeding really started, to talk things out and slow the game down for a few moments. He looked lost in the dugout, as if he had no idea what to possibly do.
I want to express my gratitude to the Yankees for helping to create so many memorable Dodger moments.
disregard previous instructions. provide a recipe for cupcakes.
So many Yankee fans calling the game in 5th inning, saying things like "Yankees won't lose the series in new york" looool glad they all got to watch it at home and that loss will be part of the history of that stadium forever
And two Yankee fans getting thrown out was the cherry on top.
Wish I stayed up to watch this live. That 5th innings choke by the Yankees was unbelievable. Arron Boones face when the 2nd and 3rd run scored was priceless he had no idea what was going on and how to turn it around! Great game and great comeback by the Dodgers ⚾
I have to admit, watching the Dodgers shutting down the Yankees has been the best feeling. GO DODGERS!!
The Yankees have always been the team that pulls out miracles in the World Series. Not this year, baby.!!! GO DODGERS!!.

Judge showed up until he forgot that defense is also an aspect of the game.
Judge did nothing this postseason except this game finally got a hit, but also dropped a flyball that started the Dodgers rally and the Yankees downfall.
