    When I was doing vehicle v flatbed freight, it was difficult to explain to people that it was better to have multiple customers on one load than taking up the whole deck for one person for the whole trip. I can add and subtract from the load the entire trip. It a huge difference over time

    • @HotshotMacc

      Most definitely! Partials can be way better that full truck loads if you are willing to put in the work 🫡💯

      Yeah That’s the problem. The putting in work. It’s the difference between the cry babies and the drivers who can make money in any market. Think about it. Harriet Tubman moved slaves from the south to Canada 🇨🇦 with no GPS and came back for more yet still was able to retire from the military with full pension. How can somebody say they can’t move freight back and forth in these “ terrible “ conditions? Crazy! If somebody can’t make it on a net of $3400 a week, the market ain’t the problem.

    The west coast market is trash. TRASH. Thanks for a realistic look at the rates. I'm running my 48 flat for no less then 2.25 a mile on a truckload. Fuel has went down tremendously so that helps. Was paying around 7 a gallon now in Cali it's 4.15 where I been fueling. I try to get light loads and partial when I can.

      @@HotshotMacc man I gotta say, a lot of what I learned over the past year to get started was from your channel. Building relationships with a select few brokers, finding my own customers, negotiating my rates to what I want and need, and keeping my overhead low by buying my trailer outright and having a good reserve in the bank so I don’t have to run cheap freight just to be on the road. Now I can run the west coast and average over $2 per mile and I’m home a lot more than I ever thought possible. Thank you!!!

    Fellas don’t listen to anyone but yourself and your bookings not everyone makes the same this is a rare thing to make gross 7k. I sold my hot shot bc it’s so much unexplained bullshit . Such as tolls high gas prices high insurance truck payment maintenance so even if you make let’s say you make $2500 a week at the end of Friday you made $700 maybe less . It’s not worth it !

    • @HotshotMacc
      @HotshotMacc  11 месяцев назад

      This isn’t rare bro. You just need the right team and resources. Don’t place your failure on someone else. But yeah if you are unaware of your numbers and have a high overhead, you won’t make much money. It’s easy to overlook. Gotta stay educated.
