When I was doing vehicle v flatbed freight, it was difficult to explain to people that it was better to have multiple customers on one load than taking up the whole deck for one person for the whole trip. I can add and subtract from the load the entire trip. It a huge difference over time
Most definitely! Partials can be way better that full truck loads if you are willing to put in the work 🫡💯
@@HotshotMacc
Yeah That’s the problem. The putting in work. It’s the difference between the cry babies and the drivers who can make money in any market. Think about it. Harriet Tubman moved slaves from the south to Canada 🇨🇦 with no GPS and came back for more yet still was able to retire from the military with full pension. How can somebody say they can’t move freight back and forth in these “ terrible “ conditions? Crazy! If somebody can’t make it on a net of $3400 a week, the market ain’t the problem.
It couldn't get any better than that! You explained those #'s down too the T Thanks Macc!! Ken! OH!!👍🏾✌🏿
Thanks brother!
Appreciate the video Macc... Always with the realness and honestly is much appreciated. 👍
Always my brotha 🫡💪🏽💯appreciate the support fr!
Great information as usual. I really appreciate your integrity and honesty in what you put out for people to learn and make their own decisions on how to move forward.
I appreciate that! It’s definitely not possible to put everything out there but I put out enough for ppl to do further research to base their decision in a transparent way! Thanks for the feedback!
Great info. Keep doing what your doing don't stop the grind. SALUTE
Thanks bro! Will do!
Getting ready to start hot shot
I really appreciate your videos bro and always remember if you ain't having fun you ain't living.
I appreciate that! Big facts 💯💯

I appreciate you! 🫡
Hey bro what program are you using? want to organize what i got going on and that breakdown looks great
Grateful for the content!!! Love what you doing bro... Keep it going...
Appreciate it brotha!! We are non stop 🫡💯
@@HotshotMacc Any idea on how I can get work in the Texas area to increase my revenue? I starred off with RV Transport due to a lack of funds to acquire my own trailer and get Insurance for my own authority but haven't been able overcome several different challenges I face in today's ever changing economy... Any insights or tips you can pass on would be greatly appreciated!!!
Bro you’re a boss man 💪🏽👍🏽
Appreciate that!
Very informative. Thanks for sharing
Glad it was helpful!
How length should be the trailer ? Thank I for ur video this is the 6th videos I watch it’s useful sure
Thanks MaccDADDY… always
For sure brotha 💪🏽🫡
Yooo I saw you in fort Myers like a week ago on Ortiz . That was pretty dope to catch you out on the road . I test next Monday for my cdl . Going to sign on with melton to get some flatbed experience and capital then owner op. Hopefully I catch you on the road one day .
That’s dope bro!! Small world man 🔥 holla at me next time! But you doing it the right way. Get that experience first then transition 🙏🏽💪🏽🫡
Hey Big Macc, remember to take the olive oil everyday for the pressure to go down. Also potassium
Thanks for the reminder my guy 🙏🏽💪🏽🫡
You best Mac ❤
🙏🏽💪🏽🫡
Thanks for taking your time to do video on sir much appreciated.
Your welcome!
I watched your story when you were at the scale in Florida. Which scale was that? Also i saw the DOT officer had a length measure in his hand... Why was he measuring the length of the semi truck in front of you? 🤔
Hey bro thx for the info! I want to get into hauling cargo. I have a ram 2500 6.7 but I don’t have a trailer. Any way to get into this biz with just the truck?
Always sharing the nuggets 💪 I’ll be contacting you guys in the near future to discuss business opportunities… Even though people are always sharing numbers BUT there are many that still do not understand how to crunch those numbers or realize all that it takes to do this kind of work
The west coast market is trash. TRASH. Thanks for a realistic look at the rates. I'm running my 48 flat for no less then 2.25 a mile on a truckload. Fuel has went down tremendously so that helps. Was paying around 7 a gallon now in Cali it's 4.15 where I been fueling. I try to get light loads and partial when I can.
Have you and wifey ever considered or attempted building a direct customer base? Ie with Houston manufacturers and or companies.
We are definitely working on that 🙏🏽🫡
Did descent
💪💪🏾
$2000 fuel for 2900 miles?! That’s like semi truck expenses!
Rates here in PNW for hot shot is as low as 48 cent/mile. Even crazier is what I'm seeing on uship. IDK how some of these folks are staying in business.
I’m based out of Oregon and the only way to do it is head out to the Midwest for a few weeks at a time. The rates here just won’t cut it.
Yeah it’s pretty bad everywhere right now. So gotta move smart, get with the contacts that care about the carrier and build those relationships. Can’t fully rely on the boards. And overhead has to be low!
@@HotshotMacc man I gotta say, a lot of what I learned over the past year to get started was from your channel. Building relationships with a select few brokers, finding my own customers, negotiating my rates to what I want and need, and keeping my overhead low by buying my trailer outright and having a good reserve in the bank so I don’t have to run cheap freight just to be on the road. Now I can run the west coast and average over $2 per mile and I’m home a lot more than I ever thought possible. Thank you!!!
I’m considering jumping into hotshot right now would you recommend it with the way the market for trucks and everything is. Willing to do what needs to be done but concerned with the rates and insurances rates. Would appreciate your opinion
No don’t do it. I went back to my 30 per hr job because of the rates
Exactly don’t do it
@@keenancroft4687 same ! That hot shot shit is bullshit you will be lucky very lucky to get under 100 mile run for $500 disgusting. No money in it anymore
🔥
Aye bro, have a Landscaping business, does well, THE YARD BARBER LLC,
But two days ago I just tore my Achilles tendon! So I need a career shift, do you think I could do this while I’m down?
Damn sorry to hear bro. Im not too sure bro bc this might not do you leg well being that we have to secure and unsecure the load. And unless you plan to do this full time I don’t think it’s worth it. Maybe look into a driving job where you can drive and don’t have to touch the freight.
YOOOOO! UPDATE! I JUST PASSED MY PHYSICAL YESTERDAY! SORRY FOR THE LATE RESPONSE I HAVE BEEN HITTING YOU UP ON FB LOL 🤔🤣 ABDUL KABIR MUHAMMAD,
BUT THANKS AGAIN! YOU AND WIFEY ARE GIVING ME INSPIRATION! WE WANT TO BE JUST LIKE Y'ALL! AND WE WILL BE SIGNING UP FOR THE COURSES, KEEP IT COMING! @@HotshotMacc
Hey Macc greetings my friend,.. Who do you have commercial insurance with tht u pay $372
We are with progressive. And that $372 was a weekly breakdown.
What rates for weekend layovers do you go off of?
It depends on the situation. I’ll charge my day rate for the weekend which is $1000. Since Sunday is my reset, it would only be charged for Saturday. If it causes me to lose a load, the price goes up.
Macc, I can't remember if you're CDL or Non-CDL
Im CDL brother.
What’s up bro you looking to lease someone under your company anytime soon? Based out of Houston Tx
Hey bro if you are looking to run CDL, yes we are. Visit our website to fill out an inquiry. The info is in the description.
Hey I seen an old video you made with Clayton when you were leased on. Cool content. I'm looking to get leased on can you recommend a company. Im new to the game.
Is your factoring expense included somewhere in there?
It sure wasn’t…totally forgot about factoring. We are 2.5% with OTR solutions.
Good. Can I get in touch with you? Blessings and more grace.
Most definitely. Please visit our website to set up a free discovery call.
Do you plan on getting semi ?
Not right now.
Pretty smart, paying your wife’s company. Keep them taxes down at the end of the year.
Yessir, that is the plan 🙏🏽💪🏽
That is how we do it my husband pays my company for dispatching. Great vid
Macc is your truck payment 347 weekly? So about 1350 a month?
Yessir
So no trailer payment? Did you just pay cash for it?
No trailer payment
@@HotshotMacc niceeee!!! That's awesome. Keep on truckin!
I got question, are you intrastate or interstate?
Interstate.
How do I get into Hot Shot trucking
Check out my video on how I got started and other videos talking about whats needed to get started. If you need more help, I also offer 1 on 1 consultations.
Thanks buddy
Does your wife offer dispatching service to other drivers?
Yes she does. Only for CDL operators. Check out our website for more info. Www.macctransportandlogistics.com
How is your insurance so cheap
372 a week works out too be right at 1500 a month. Definitely not cheap
It’s not cheap!
Exactly
What company you work for
I work for my own company now
Are you still leased to a company or are these your own jobs now?
I run under my own authority now
So after taxes really only making around $1 a mile
Maybe
just curious, is your wife your dispatch company? or does she just do the work to contact a dispatch which costs that $700? cause if she is the co then isnt that just putting the 700 back in your guys pocket any way?
Yes she runs our dispatch side of the company so she dispatches me and other carriers so yes the money is kept in house.
Fellas don’t listen to anyone but yourself and your bookings not everyone makes the same this is a rare thing to make gross 7k. I sold my hot shot bc it’s so much unexplained bullshit . Such as tolls high gas prices high insurance truck payment maintenance so even if you make let’s say you make $2500 a week at the end of Friday you made $700 maybe less . It’s not worth it !
This isn’t rare bro. You just need the right team and resources. Don’t place your failure on someone else. But yeah if you are unaware of your numbers and have a high overhead, you won’t make much money. It’s easy to overlook. Gotta stay educated.
You say your not taking cheap loads but your are. I can see that your putting stuff together but your still taking the cheap loads that there putting out.
Did you even watch the entire video? If your trucking then you should know whats going on, or maybe not. I clearly explained what I did and why.
What happened 😮
Stop unloading videos with pay breakdowns. The market is flooded and y’all still wanna do this? Your money is your money. No need to tell the world.
Lol stop telling me what to do. This needs awareness. I don’t do this often and I’ve shown the low end. Ppl are being told otherwise and you can make 10k a week whether or not its put on RUclips. And many don’t understand the difference between gross vs net. And it’s not the world bro, just the hotshot community. Chill.
@@HotshotMacc no one making 10k a week lol😂 hotshot is dead !
