My name is Kendra (my government name), but I’m also known around the Black Manosphere as DJ Fish Grease. While most men marry women from their own community, men who date and marry out have testified that they went elsewhere because of negative experiences with women within their communities of origin. It is a POWER and CONTROL mechanism with some women. They feel they need to humble their sons to control them and keep themselves in power. When boys grow to men, they will challenge and that is their nature. It is not normal to break them down in such ways that it causes damage to them. Plus some women have to take out their frustrations or untreated trauma with the baby daddy on the son.. We have all seen it!

I'm an outsider (ie white guy) and ever since I saw that video and the reaction to it I've been trying to figure out an answer for why black women think they need to humble their sons. I can understand humbling a child if they get out of line but why humble someone just because? It doesn't make any sense. "Humbling" someone, especially your own child, for no real reason is an absolutely sinister thing to do.
I'm also wondering if that's not the reason some young black men are so violent. A lot of the violence (up to and including murder) seems revolve around the issue of "respect". Are those young black man so desperate for respect because their mothers never gave them any?
Finally, someone saying they decide to listen to someone not because what they say makes sense but only because they have a sufficient amount of money makes them look really, really stupid.
