Thank you for this I needed to lift some color it worked great .
@lyssryann how long do i leave it in?
Been a hairdresser for 25 years and this stuff works. Baking soda and 10 volume in a bag for 30 minutes. You could see it going down drain and NO DAMAGE like bleach or color remover.
YAY!! Thank you for this
What developer should I use. Mine is a darker brown to black and I want it to a reddish brown auburn color and I don’t want to ruin my hair at home
@@madisonbarnicle1889 maybe 20 volume wouldn’t go higher than that
@@madisonbarnicle1889 10 volume
Wait my hair is really dark but it’s still brown but I accidentally died it JET BLACK. I don’t want it to turn really light so can I leave it in shorter than 30 minutes so that I can get closer to my natural hair color?
They should put a massive size 26 font disclaimer on dark brown dye packages. “Basically black”.
I’m mortified.
i agree!
Yes this, a thousand times over!!
Literally me right now 😭
Mines not brown at all just jet black
me rn…
Two days ago I dyed my hair a “medium brown” and it turned out jet black (my hair was originally an ash brown) and I used equal parts 10 volume developer & baking soda, mixed it together, soaked it into my hair & used a plastic bag on top to heat my hair, waited 25 minutes, got into the shower and used clarifying shampoo, then a hair mask for 10 minutes, and a deep conditioner. My hair is no longer jet black, it’s now just a dark brown :) I recommend doing this method to strip a dark hair dye mistake, rather than bleaching or ‘hair color remover’ because those methods will leave your hair brassy, but with this baking soda method, you just strip the dark intense color. Thank you!!
YAY!! I’m so so happy this worked for you too!!! Love love love
@@LyssRyann
I am trying this!! Tired of my dark black hair that makes me look older and unnatural. I just didn’t know how I was going to go about it..
Oh man I am going to try this tonight!!
@Missing M ...do you apply on wet or dry hair??. Thanks
@@sirian9924 I did it on dry hair

😂...How did you manage to accidentally dye your hair black?
@@beibigatouneari5605 if you use a brown colour, you can get Black hair accidentally! 😂
Omg thank you so much this worked so well!!!!!! Dyed my hair “dark brown” and it went black and i was so devastated and this made it go the exact colour i wanted!!!!
happy to help!!
How long did you leave the developer & baking soda on?
@@sashacastillo2169 half an hour!!
what vol of developer did you use?
@@althearae5871 i just used one from a box of hair dye that i had so im not sure sorry!!
love the honesty and how you say Go to a pro. Black and dark brown is super hard to get rid of- i tell my clients to just do a SEMI color and buy black conditioner if they ever want that really dark look. so much healthier, and easier to remove
THIS WORKS. I literally can't thank you enough. My hair got way too dark and I had that same thought of "god it looked so good before why did I mess with it". Anyway, I mixed baking soda with 10 volume developer and let it sit for 20 minutes with a bag over my head, because I only wanted it a few shades lighter/a bit warmer. It turned out this gorgeous chocolate brown. It's SO GOOD. THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOUUUUU.
YAYYYYYYY IM SO HAPPY FOR YOU
how much baking soda did you use??
@@TF_charlotte I used enough to where it became sort of a paste. I'm gonna be honest though, this made my hair weirdly VERY straight and VERY dry. So I would recommend this last option honestly. I wonder if a bleach bath would have even been better to keep hair texture.
i don’t have any developer left, did you buy a new one or use the same in the packet ?
@@rosieday7482 did some of your hair fell out? I heard that from a lot of people
It's so funny how when you color your hair you hate it but then everyone else loves it or thinks it looks beautiful!
I remember I went a little too blonde and I HATED it but everyone thought it looked so pretty and I was like where??? haha
Me right now!!! I had beautiful brown hair with red hues and some golden strands. I thought hmm Dita Von Teese looks beautiful with Black hair maybe I will too. I hate it. I always used to take photos of my hair and I did it with black hair and it's so bland and boring. Everyone loves it on me and adds nice cintrast with my white skin but I hate it. I want my brown hair and idk how to get it back 😖
Story of my life with EVERY hair appt haha. I always hate it right after but as it slowly fades and I get more used to it, I love it (well..sometimes lol). There is hope!
sleepy Eevee same did it fade?
That is exactly what’s happening right now! So I have red hair but it got kinda dark over the years so I wanted to do some streaks in it so I did blond and it looked absolutely horrible so I tried to dye it back to the colour I had when I started but it turned out to be really red and I hate it so much but everyone else loves it except for me
haileybrae95 cause you’re just not used to it
Omg this actually worked! I wanted a nice chocolate brown but it came out black. I legit couldn’t sleep because of it and I found this video 1 hr ago at 5am and I put 1.5% activator because that’s all I had and a ton of baking soda, I left it for 30 minutes and used heat on it to activate it. Straight away when I was washing it, i saw all this brown dye washing off and I was so happy! Now my hair is a perfect chocolate brown! TRY THIS NOW!
im so happy it worked for you!
is your hair damaged at all now from the baking soda?
@@averymowrey30 nope, It didn't damage although I made sure to put in a leave in conditioner right after and comb it through my hair just in case.
I'm gonna try this but with a regular shampoo and baking soda bc I don't have a developer
i wanted a dark brown but it came out red 😭
This worked for me! I went from incredibly dark brown to my natural medium brown. For me, I had to rinse after around 15 minutes of processing (you'll probably know when it's time to rinse by the color the paste turns on your hair after a bit of time, because sometimes you may think it's black when it's actually just dark brown). If some strands are porous and become too light from the process, use what's left of your developer and what's left of the dye that messed you up. Mix the developer and dye and put it on those strands. Rinse that after only ten minutes or so. I see a lot of complaints about how this didn't work, so my advice is to maybe ignore the times given in the video and pay attention to how your hair is processing and use that to dictate the time. Thank you! This was a lifesaver.
I’m so happy it worked!!!!!
I have been dying my hair at home forever and could never get it to lighten. Didn't want to use bleach. But this alternative worked perfectly!! Thank you!
Girl, if I could hug you I would! This worked!!I was literally in tears with my husband trying to convince me I still looked cute lol If I could like it twice I would 💜✨

OMG YAY!!!!!!!!!!!
Wait what? Me too! What are the odds!
I literally just did this and it works! I tried to do a dark copper red and it turned black! I put 20 vol developer with baking soda (make sure to start with your ends first and work your way up), put a hairdryer on the cap until my hair felt warm and washed with a clarifying shampoo. I then kept rinsing and rinsing and after the water ran clear I put a protein mask on for 15min and finished with leave in conditioner. It WORKS!!
Omg YAYYYY!!!!!
How much baking soda did you use?
What color did you end up with?
I just tried it as well and it sure does work. I made it up like a thick shampoo and left it in 15 min. but 10 min would have been enough.
It works cause it's peroxide. I have used John Frieda Go Blonder spray (mild peroxide) to correct areas that accidentally got too dark. I have also had success removing excess dye with crushed vitamin C. Packed it on twice for an hour each time, and it removed black back to the original colour-stripped orange, which I then dyed over with a demi or a permanent. It left my hair is good condition after a deep conditioner. Not damaged. Good for us chicks for figuring it out ourselves! : )
my hair is black now and I wanted it brown but all salons are closed bc of corona :(
same lol, quarantine things
Sameeee😫😫😫 had dyed my hair black a while ago and tried to go brown today and after 2 different tries only my roots turned brown and the rest was still black...been trying to search for ways to go brown without using bleach...heard you can use a “very light ash blonde” color but I’m afraid to try that 😭

Nina F have you tried using vitamin c tablets that are 1000mg mixed with anti dandruff shampoo. It’s supposed to work really wel :))

update: girl this worked so well i fucking love you omg. basically i have been blonde all my life and yesterday i decided to dye my hair “medium brown” which turned out to be jet black with undertones of purple (which looked terrible on me)😭 i completely freaked out and searched the internet on how to make my hair lighter. i found your video and decided to just go for it because i figured it couldnt get worse than it already was. now it looks a little lighter than yours with even lighter “highlights” because i applied it kind of unevenly, but it actually looks professionally done 😭 sorry for the long ass comment but im so grateful
YAY!!! I am so glad it worked!! if its feeling super dry - use hair masks in replace or with your conditioner!! that helped a ton

Lyss, I love you! I just did the baking soda and developer cream, 30 minutes. Yes, I did see brown rinse out. I had dyed it with a burgundy. My natural color was dark brown. What kind of developer did you use
Isa Ruiz just a 10Vol from sally’s 🤗
Isa Ruiz oh and now everytime i dye my hair now i mix it with a little baking soda so it won’t turn as dark. it really works 😂
What is develepor
This worked for me. I used semi permanent dark brown dye which turned out black. I mixed the developer from a box of light brown hair dye with the baking soda and left on my hair for about 30 minutes. The black totally lightened to a really pretty and much more flattering dark brown with a very subtle auburn tint. Love it, was easy and a cheap fix!!
Hey!! I only have a little
Bit of 30 volume developer and I have tons of baking soda, I don’t know where to get my hands on some more developer right now because I don’t know stores around me that do sell developer alone, so I was thinking to buy a light-medium brown hair dye, and mix that hair dye with baking soda and put it on my hair, do you think that will work? Mixing the hair dye with the baking soda?
Wait that’s exactly what happened to me, it was a dark chocolate semi permanent dye and now my hair is black. I’ve had black hair and my god I know it doesn’t look good on me so I’m stressing haha
THANK YOU 😘😘 I'm 55 and this is the 1st time I've heard of it and I was in the industry, coloring my hair since age 13. This worked like a charm. oh my gosh, I did EXACTLY what you did and my result came out just like yours. I love it! It's kind of an Auburn dark Brown. Just beautiful.

Currently in the same situation! Did it work for you too? What level developer did you use? Thank you!
Julie Maron hi! I wanted to ask wether it turned out a bit red-orange when you did it? I’m afraid it’ll be orange if I’ll do that. (I dyed my hair dark brown and somehow it came out black).
Roni Danon yeah, that's me right now, and i'm currently bawling my eyes out
Roni Danon oh and not the orange part, just the black part
Omg it worked! thank you so muuuchh💖 but for those of you who want to try this out, please be cautious for the developer that you use (approximately vol 20 developer or else your hair will fall off and get so dry), it’s better to not apply it on your scalp and use it gradually, don’t put it on for too long (approximately 30 minutes). After you rinse it off, don’t forget to use conditioner and hair mask to prevent your hair from getting dry. Good luck!
thank you for this!
@@LyssRyannQuestion here. My natural hair color is black. I tried dying it a brownish red color with box dye and nothing happened. Then I tried dying it purple and nothing happened just little streaks of color here and there so I ended up just dying my hair black again. Its been several weeks maybe 2 months and I can see the slight red and slight purple especially in the sun. If I did this baking soda and developer thing, would it strip only the black or the red and purple too?
@@jessig9970 maybe i can help answering your question. If you use this mixture it will only strip off the last hair color that you used (which was black, right?) and your hair would probably get more reddish but not as much as if you use hair bleach or not even lighten up at all (because black hair dye has “thick” formula and hard to get rid off). So if your goal is to lighten up your hair, i recommend you to just use hair bleach instead of this mixture, because hair bleach is designed specifically to lift up the tone of your hair color (can be less harsh, just find the right brand), you can add olaplex no.1 to the mixture (it’s the key to prevent your hair from being “fried” bcs of hair bleach/hydrogen peroxide (the hair developer))
*fyi my natural hair is black too, so i know the struggle😆
Omg you’re such a good help rn !! I’m On my way! To try it ! Girl I’m trying to dye my own hair red but obviously I had it black but it’s been months so I’m sure it’s already mostly all off !! Thank you so so much!!!! 😭❤️❤️❤️❤️ also YES!!! I didn’t a deep condition every time I washed my hair for a few weeks just to make sure it was good!!! Lol
Sam me too!!
I was a bit nervous about using developer and my hair turning orange etc! I have found the best thing I’ve been doing is head and shoulders classic shampoo. I rinse my hair and apply it, really rub it in then leave it in your hair for half an hour to a few hours, if it’s sunny outside go sit outside with it! Every time I go in the shower after doing this there is hair dye in the water, I have done this 3 days in a row now and my hair is getting lighter each time. Just a suggestion if the idea of using developer to almost re-dye your hair scares you! I tried the fairy liquid/baking soda but that didn’t really work for me, no dye came out when I did it! Hope this helps x
Than you for giving us this tip!! :)
Are you saying you just used the shampoo by itself? I’m trying to fade out my black hair as well and would love to try this.
This has helped as I'm scared to use the developer method. Cheers

What dye color is on your hair now?
i used 30 volume developer with purple shampoo and dish washing soap and now my hair is blonde please help i dyed it red and my natural hair is brown please help
@@charismaarteaga7962 lol girl. Why did you colored it red?
This process worked so well. I used baking soda and 20 volume One and Only Argan Oil hair cream developer, for 20 minutes. I originally dyed my hair last week a light brown which turned out dark dark brown. I tried the vitamin c/head and shoulders process twice and it turned an a dark auburn/red color. Now I’m back to my golden brown. Thank you!!!!
im so happy this worked for you!!!!! love to hear it!!!
will this work on totally black hair like almost dark dark blue ?
It might not work. Try bleach wash, get haidressing bleach product, ratio 2:1, e.g 50ml bleach to 100ml oxidant 20 vol, keep at max 40 mins. That might help. Don't expext to turn blond after that, u might go to medium brown or maybe light brown. Afterwards use hair colour that is one shade lighter than the one u want.
This worked & gave me the color I was shooting for originally. Thank youuuu 😍
Happy it worked!!!
Another thing you could do is a bleach bath- it really saved me when trying to get extra blue dye from my hair. Mix 20 or 30 developer (depending on how much lift you want) in equal parts. Then add anti dandruff shampoo (either 1:1 or 1:2 ratio of bleach to shampoo, depending on how much lift you want). Cover your hair with it evenly and let sit for 10-20 minutes maximum. It's less damaging and gives a more even result than just bleaching it yourself. It's very drying though so load up on conditioner after.
what consistency should it look like after mixing? lol i such at ratios... & so the only items i need to mix is 20 developer & anti-dandruff shampoo? sorry thank you!
i can't-
you're too pretty wtf😍
Thank you!!!
Baking soda does bring out a beautiful color in hair, unlike bleach which always make dark hair brassy which requires toning. That's why I love soda better than bleach, and it doesn't even damage the hair much. 😊
Ok, so i was desperate and tried this with 20 volume. I went from short black pixie to light brown in 10 minutes!!! Worked for me, very happy!!! THANK YOU!!
YAYYYY!!! Im so happy!
For dry hair/ ends.. I used castor oil helps a lot over any masks/ oils I've used... just leave it in your hair for however long (over 25minutes), then rinse it out
good tip!! i love castor oil for my brows and lashes!!
Thanks so much! I used this method after finding your video (thank you!) and trying other things that weren’t really working. I wanted to comment in case people are going through the comments to figure out if this works, like I did before trying it! So, hello traveler! Here is what I did and my results: I dyed my hair “medium ash brown” 4 days ago and didn’t realize how close to black it would turn out and how harsh it would look (like a totally fake, one tone looking, bad home dye job). I made a paste of level 10 and baking soda, that was probably too thick with baking soda and my hair got REALLY heavy and it was hard to spread. I also put it on dry hair, maybe wet would be better? I only left it on my hair for 10 minutes, because I was afraid it would overprocess. Guys, it did just enough of exactly what I wanted. I needed the “harsh” black tone out, and that’s exactly what happened. It’s a softer dark brown now. And still definitely dark, but not that fake hairdye black kind of dark. I could have maybe lessened the darkness even more if I had left it in for maybe 15 or 20 minutes, but i’m personally ultimately happy I took it out after 10 minutes, because i don’t know what it would have looked like otherwise (blotchy? Uneven? I didn’t know!). 10 minutes felt like just enough time to start processing, but not go too far and have another disaster to correct. Thanks again for the tip! I love women who share their good advice, just to share it!!
im so so happy this worked for you!!!!
Thank you very much for this video I was desperate ,after salon coloring my hair went black didn't know what to do tried everything and only your advice gave me my color back, this method really works and didn't damage my hair.

Guys this works!!! and it’s not even damaging! I avoided going directly onto the roots (maybe that caused hair loss in some ) so leave like a half an inch then apply this baking soda and developer 10 on dry hair. I left for 20 min. But should have left if longer. I still managed to go from black to a beautiful dark Brown. My ends still a big darker but I will repeat the process one more time on my ends.. love it!! You guessed it black and I did the clarifying wash and nothing helped and then I stumbled upon this and omg Thank you I did a 20 developer with equal part baking soda layered it on and left it for a whole half an hour checking to make sure it didn't get too light or dried out and even that lifted it just enough! Thank you so freaking much!!
Abby!!! I'm so so happy this worked for you!!!
Does that work to remove dark hair toner? I dyed it dark brown, it was fine except i got hot roots! Wanted to tone those down and the toner made my hair so dark it looks black!😔
OMG! It's actually working (for me worked) I removed all the dark dye from my hair with this ingredients! Did the hair a little dry but I think olaplex no3 will help! Thanks for sharing this!
Yay!!! So happy to help!
THIS 10000000% works! Thank you thank you thank you! Literally saved my life 🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻
I’m so glad!!!!
Lyss how did you order shampoo??!! That's freaking awesome!!! 😁
Thank you for this. I had an accident with box hair color and the brown color I bought turned my porous ends black. I used this method twice, using heat the second time, and it removed enough of the color that I no longer have to pay for a full-blown color correction at the salon. My hair doesn’t look perfect by any means, but the color is even enough that I can have it colored over by a professional now.
YAY!! im glad this worked for you. I did the same thing. it got enough out for me to go get it fixed.
I'm so glad you fixed your hair 😃 still looked amazing with darker hair 😃 xxx
This really helped! I had my hair strawberry blonde and wanted to go back to my natural chocolate brown hair color, so i used a mix of no.5 and no.4 dye, but my hair turned out really dark, almost total black. I tried this method and it worked pretty well. My hair is now a light brown. I used 250 gr baking soda and 120 ml 20° developer and left it for about 40 minutes. Thank you so much for the video! 💕
I’m so happy it worked for you!!!!
Your hair is so gorgeous thank you for this tip!! By the way I just wanted to let you know you are absolutely stunning! You have insanely striking features and I hope you enjoy your new beautiful color. I suggest using mink oil though for the dryness
oh wow thank you so much!! luckily this is Avery old video so hair is back to tip top health now!!
I like her so much. Everything when she mentioned bronzing herself also. Because as soon as I go darker that's my first, ohhhhh yeahhhhhh moment. And I immediately have to go buy bronze for the skin
Yes!!! Always need a nice glow lol
Thank you so much, it worked perfectly, i used 20 vol developper and my hair when from deep black to a pretty natural light brown color !! You're a life saver!
YAYYYYYY
i’m gonna try this cause i’m desperate lol
girl.. i feel this lol
Lyss Ryann i did it but i fucked up :/// i’ll send u a pic on insta (i’m satans_baby_doll)
I wanna try too, how your muck it up :(
Did it work ??
I am going to try it
This color looks sooooo good on you
Girl I am about to chuck the rest of my 10 vol developer and baking soda in my hair because SAME. Me thinking I don't need my hairdresser during the pandemic , boyyy was I wrong.
did you do it? how did it turn out?
@@user-qw1up7ep9k hey , I did end up doing it and it lightened it up a shade. I ended up just waiting until my hairdressers opened up again in Australia and went and got my hair done blonde again. Hahaha
I’m trying this on my hair right now!! I’m praying this works because mines tooooooo dark
@@kaliross7118 did it work, i’m trying this tomorrow
@@briana3863 it did lighten it a little bit but not much to really notice. My volume was a 13 volume developer. I really think had I used a 20 it would’ve helped a lot. I also read after that it’s a 3 part baking soda to 1 part developer and I don’t think I added enough baking soda 🤷🏼♀️ but it didn’t damage my hair at all and it’s well worth a try! Good luck and let me know how yours turns out!!
I tried it and IT WORKS!!!!! Couple of things I want to mention. Depending on your previous hair coloring history, it may or may not lift the color evenly. You can always reapply the developer/baking soda in areas that have remained darker or resistant to lightening. (In fact, to get a good final result you should ensure the color is lifted evenly before you tone or re-color your hair). The second thing is, I recommend Olaplex 1 and 2 rebonding treatment (you can apply at home or get a salon treatment) or at the very least Olaplex 3 to help correct any damage caused by lifting the color.
UPDATED to add, K18 is a great new alternative to Olaplex (I happen to think it's even better)! It's important to use something to correct the damage caused by developer/bleach!!!
Yes love this!
I hope this works thanks for this video ! Glad it worked for you! I have used a box dye that turned black during lockdown ( probably like millions of other people ) 😂 x
Let us know if it does!
It worked! I did this twice in one day the first time I used a volume 10 and the second time I used a 20 volume developer to lift and it worked wahoo :) I’m so happy .
You’ve saved my face from looking washed out I do not have the skin for black hair 😃
i just dyed my hair and it’s the color of your hair in this video and it does NOT suit me at all. i’ve been googling/youtubing how to lighten my hair because i hate it. the only answers i’m getting is lemon juice and conditioner, but i’m scared to use lemons because i don’t want to risk my hair turning orange. i tried it on a small piece of my hair and it did absolutely nothing. i don’t know what to do because i don’t want to damage my hair🥺. i don’t have any developer or any thing like that haha so that option is out the window. but if you have any suggestions PLEASE lmk
I tried it and it worked!
I was successfully able to banish my inner Goth. My hair is a brassy brown red now but way better than blackish, Thanks
Just here to comment and say that this works wonders!! I accidentally died my hair dark brown/black with a Demi permanent dye(originally had dirty blonde hair). I only used a mix of level 6&7 but my hair completely soaked up the color and came out so dark. I did this method with 10 vol developer. I had to do this process TWICE but I’m happy with the end color and my hair is still in decent shape. Thank you!!
im so glad this helped!! :)
Yes yes yes! Worked PERFECT!! THANK YOU!!!!
I’m so glad it worked for you!!
THANK U SM ILY
Hey there. I usually don't add comments but thought I would share my experience. I'm so glad I watched this video! I followed the baking soda/developer solution (I also added some conditioner, which was a recommendation I found in my own research). I have to say that it DID work for me. (Phew!) I have dark dark brown hair. When trying to match my root colour and colour out my grey hair, the colouring turned my hair black jet black. I used a super strong/permanent formula meant to cover grays. Then I attempted TWO tries of 40 developer plus light brown to add highlights/dimension. The black was so dark that the light brown didn't lift any of the black colour (maaaayyybe a hint of lighter shade of dark brown in the sun, but barely). I brushed the baking soda/developer/conditioner on my hair and left for 40-15 mins (areas I did first got treated longer...I was working as fast as I can since I really only wanted it on for 20-30 mins). When I washed the concoction out of my hair, I didn't notice anything in the rinse water. The water seemed clear (and I thought it didn't work), however, when as my hair dried, I could see that it was ... about a shade, at least, lighter! The bonous is that the areas where I added the light brown highlights also lightened and now you can actually see the highlights that I added. Tbh, I think if I had left it on longer, the colour might have lifter even more and more of an orange tint might have shown. I say this because I can barely see some orange/brownish red showing through.... just a hint in the sunlight, however, it may be due to the exposure to sun and chlorine). Overall, I do like this new colour and it's more in line with the colour I was going for . In any event, this worked for me and my type of hair and colour it had on...I''m so glad I found this video and for your honest sharing! Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!
what was the procentage of the developer? and the rate? how much developer and how much soda?
Soooooo was your hair black?? Cause I love this color !!!
@@ildikoesztergalyos7306 HI. I'm sorry for the late reply. I took a break from electronics for a while then didn't check back in on this comment thread. I found a formula on the web from idiva. I searched ' baking soda, developer, conditioner'. On this idiva site, they recommended 4 parts baking soda, 3 parts developer and 1 part conditioner. I left out the shampoo portion. I followed this as a guide... I might have added in more conditioner to get the consistency I like, I can't remember for sure. I hope this works for you as well.
@@ildikoesztergalyos7306 I used a 20 developer
Sounds like you tried it....glad it turned out! My hair was one dimensional, flat matte, jet black. After the treatment, my highlights came through, but the overall look was still dark, but looked 'rich and saturated' rather than flat black. As the summer sun natural lightened it, the highlights came through even more and it looked great. By the end of summer though, my hair was pretty dry (visibly dry) and the ends were a mess, but a good trimmed always makes it look better.
I have fair skin and my hair is naturally dark brown. It had faded from old dye so I tried to make it all one color with “dark brown” dye…. And yeah… it took every warm tone my hair had and turned it BLACK. It washed me out so bad, I tried to stick with it for 3 days and even after 3 days I still hated it. So I tried this and it HELPED! At least it brought back the warm tones so I don’t look like a witch anymore. God Bless 🙏🏼
I'm so happy this helped!! I know it can be so drying on the hair so use a hair mask after your next few washes!! And oil your hair after washing too!! it helped my hair a ton
What kind of developer? 🙂
Sis your hair is not black my hair is BLACK and idk how to fade it without bleaching then dying
did you find any other solutions?
Use hydrogen peroxide it’s better than bleach
I had jet black dyed hair (my hair was platinum blonde bleached beforehand) and it wouldn’t come out no matter WHAT I tried. I tried it all, I started with more natural methods and worked up to bleach. The brand color oops (it’s available at most drugstores, I found mine for under $10 at Walmart) has this thing called “conditioning bleach” the conditioning bleach does dry your hair out kinda bad, but I tried this method before using the conditioning bleach and this method snapped off a bunch of my hair, and the bleach didn’t. I highly recommend Color Oops conditioning bleach to get rid of your hair color! It didn’t get rid of it fully, but it’s definitely lighter and was healthier than developer+baking soda. Color oops also works somewhat but it isn’t worth having to wash your hair for a literal hour
ruclips.net/video/Whjj0Ij42_M/видео.html watch this, thank me later x
use Hair colour remover x
Yes, developer does work wonders. I got the Ion color remover powder from Sally’s and mixed it with developer, undoubtedly I didn’t apply it carefully and got a bit patchy and one side of my hair didn’t remove enough color so I bought another pack and this time I read the instructions that said to add just water. I did and it was a waste of time! I’m doing it again tomorrow with developer again 😏
Thank you so much! At first I thought I looked like a witch with my black hair but now it looks so much better. 😂 life savior!!!
im so glad this helped you!!!!
