Finally someone who's not trying to dye their hair blonde. I really needed this, it looks beautiful!!
Thank you love!💕🥰
I’m a hairdresser and I love your result, well done. The only advice I would give you is don’t use 30 vol to tone. The point of the toner is to deposit tone so use a lower peroxide, hairdressers will usually use a 1.5% or 9 vol to tone but beware, the toner will work faster so watch it closely so you don’t tone out your highlights completely. Your toner will also last longer this way. I’m guessing that your toner washed out quite quickly, this is because of the 30 vol. Hope this helps ♥️
Thank you love!!👼🏼💞 I appreciate the advice!! I’ll keep that in mind! 💫
I tried 30vol developer with the loreal hicolor dye in golden ginger and got lifted roots but didn't work on the rest of my hair. Would you recommend 40vol developer with a bonder like olaplex with this dye instead?
@@kitaara3817 if you’re hair is already coloured the only thing that will lift it is bleach. Golden rule- colour does not lift colour. Never use 40 vol. watch Hair Budda, he does a great video about lightening hair correctly. Good luck 🤞🏽
@@kitaara3817 those colours are great. They were called Majicontrast in my day 😂 and yes, they could lift through coloured hair. However, lift is always hindered on levels 4 and below even if you have virgin hair. To avoid root glow, colour your ends first and your roots last. Use a lower oxidant on the roots.
@@vintagebabyseventythree6244 thank you for the tips! Much appreciated! I think it may still be called that here in Australia. While I would love to get my hair coloured professionally with Covid it just doesn't seem worth it. That's why I'm opting to colour at home. The hicolor magenta does state to use 30 or 40 developer. Urgh wish I was blonde lmao 🤣
I just did this on myself last week, i always feel extra glowy when i go from black hair to any warmer color. This turned out really pretty. :-)
M Oooh no way! I can totally see why you’d say that!👀I love the warmer tone so much better for sure! Anyways, thanks love 💞
How long does this hair diy last
I can hear Brad screaming “color does not lift color!!!!” Lol it looks beautiful!
A J 😂😂 haha! thank you 💞
A J she has virgin hair though... he means color does not lift previously colored hair
Yeh me too hhhhhhh
Omfg yesss 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
You should of just used bleached with the 30 with dirty hair then used the loreal hilift plus those are not toners they are color the numbers with T are toners. How did you not know that?
“Because day 8 of quarantine..” - Me 4 months later: day 8? You’re adorable 😆 🤣
Haha! 💞 were on day 60 now 😂
Day 63
We r on day 102
month 5 and i’m blonde
We might into quarantine again. Lol 11-11-2020

Love the color. Want to do my hair this color now... but I could never find someone who does good hair here😠 and i have super long hair with highlights.! Need a new look
I know what you mean! Especially with long hair you have to make sure the person knows what they’re doing 😭 but goodluck babe, I’m sure you’ll find someone who can do it for you!💖
Wow so pretty! I’ve had black hair forever and Im so tempted to try this out! You for sure did a great job for it being your very first time bleaching! Way to go ☺️
Angelica Visarraga hi love! 💕Thank you!! Your sister is a real artist. So professionally done.Looks amazing

Thank you so much love!! 🥰💞💞
Your hair looks amazing!!! ❤ I've been wanting to dye my hair this color for the past few weeks but wasn't so sure about it. This video was my sign to do it 😂 I will order my supplies and hopefully I can dye it next weekend! 😳🤭
Nicolle Hinestroza thank you babe!!💞 haha glad this inspired you!! I’m sure it will turn out beautiful! 🥰✨
So my roots are grown out they’re a dark brown almost black but the rest of my hair is light brownish with a lot of highlights but I wanted that all over brown look you got, will this work? Or should I just go to a salon to get all over even color?
WOW that turned out really nice!!! Looks professionally done
Thank you love!! 👼🏼💞
This helped me so much. I followed it step my step and my results were amazing. Just the color I was wanting.
I’m so glad to hear that!!💝
thank you for watching love🥰
Omg you look AMAZING with dark hair♥️
😭 Thank you beautiful!! 💞

thank you angel!! 👼🏼💞 I just appreciate the support!
Margo Hepburn That’s awesome! There are so many youtubers that do not answer or thank people for nice comments!❤️
Exactly! I didn’t want to be one of them! 🙅🏻♀️
Margo Hepburn I will sub and I hope you keep make my vids!
You colour is beautiful 🤩 I will definitely show my hairdresser this ❤️
I think it looks really lovely, just as good as a salon!
Omg i friggin' loved how it turned out 😍
Thank you babe!🦋🖤🖤
This came out so beautiful! I have processed hair so can I just use the toner and developer?
Omg I think it came out so pretty😍
Z thank you!!💗💗
Looks beautiful!! I may try this technique.
Looks pretty on you. Been researching online to DIY balayage. What is concerning is how processes/over processing can damage the hair, sometimes greatly. You must have very strong hair for it looks shiny and healthy. Might want to look into what not to dos vs what to do so not to wind up with fried tresses.
Beautiful results, love it
Omg... I was cringing through the prcoess but the finished results were FIYAH
okay but like can your sister do my hair ?😂 that technique was soo good
Your hair is so beautiful and thick and what a nice sister you have for doing that 💪🏻
she’s the best! 😭 Thank you babe!!💖
Omg Margo! I didn’t know you had a RUclips channel so cool❤
Idk really alot about haircoloring stuff but I used to see my mom and grandma use lighter shade like more to blonde to get the brownish haircolor.. And it actually work all the time...i dyed my mom's hair one time and the result was amazing... Ps as I said I'm not pro on these things but it's just an experience 🤷🏻♀️
Looks so good. I’ve been wanting to do this to my hair I’ve just been nervous to touch my hair.
Thank you!! 💗 you should definitely try it out! I was nervous at first too but I really love it now!
Awesome job! Its not easy to do a natural looking brunette like this! Beautiful!!
Thank you babe! 💖💖
Wow, that looks incredible!!!
Thank you lovely!!👼🏼💞
Wow! I would never know you did that at home. Your sister did a fantastic job!
Thank you!!💗💖
I can’t believe how well this turned out
So beautiful! you and your sister made it look easy (which i know in reality may not be the case) but your results are SO tempting to try! I am giving this a go, question, how much 30 vol creme developer did you use for the two boxes of toner?
Hi love! Thank you so much 👼🏼💞 for the Wella toners that we used, the mixing ratio was 1:2 per bottle! So we did mix two separate bowls for each toner just FYI! hope this helped & im glad you’re deciding to try it out!!👼🏼
Hi! Your hair looks amazing. You just inspired me to do this on my own. Its my first time and I am super nervous so researching everything. My question here is, I have a level 1 natural virgin black hair. I do not wanna go super blond, its a medium brown 3/4/5 may be, so how to choose this level? You mentioned something about using a Loreal quick blue. How do we know the color level?
It looks really pretty. I love it 😻
Thank you beautiful! 💞💕
I think it looks beautiful!🙌🏼
Thank you babe!! 👼🏼💞
Wow that’s the color I want to do mine 😊👍 perfect job thanks for sharing with us
Do it! 🙌🏼 Thank you for watching love! 💞
It came out so beautiful so my question is … after the toner did you dye brown again or just left it like that after the toner ?
I love ❤ how black hair looks on you it's beautiful. Brown is ok.
Thank you for sharing, your hair came out beautiful 😍 im actually going to do this too. I love the length of your hair . Im trying to grow mine out but it just doesn't seem to grow, lol im stuck at shoulder length. 😕
Yeah same. I cut my hair short a couple months ago and it just won't grow , which is a first cuz it used to grow like crazy 😭 I really want to dye it a light brown though so I might just go for it lol
so so pretty! love the results! quick question, did you have virgin hair ? I wanna do this do my hair but I have a lot of box dye in it 😭
Kimberly Diaz Hi babe! Thank you!!💕 & yes I did have virgin hair to begin with, BUT we also dyed my hair before we bleached it at first, thinking it would lift my hair. So if you wanted to try this, I’m sure it would still work for you even if you have box dye in your hair! Depending on how light you want your hair, you can avoid bleach all together but if you do use it, just make sure your hair has enough oils before you bleach it (3-4 days without wash) to ensure it doesn’t cause too much damage! I would also recommend the products that we used in my description box! Also, this whole process took me 3 days total. So make sure you keep that in mind, if you already have delicate hair, let your hair rest for a day after you bleach it! 💋hope this helped!
Crush up 20 vitamin C pills, mix it with a clarifying or dandruff shampoo (these strip the hair very well), and some baking soda. If you are able to, apply it to dry hair for the best effects, but you have a lot of hair and find that this is too diffuse for you to do, just get your hair completely soaked in water, then apply the mixture all over your hair. Massage into the lengths of your hair really well, DON’T RINSE IT OUT YET, you will put your hair in a shower cap or plastic bag. Leave it for an hour. After an hour, you can wash it. It is important to rinse your hair for 5 minutes, then shampoo it as you normally do 2 or 3 more times. This will ensure that your hair does not reabsorb the hair dye molecules. You will see some color going down the drain. This is not damage, just extremely drying. You can do it multiple times in a row. Just be sure to deep condition after every session, and if possible, put some grape seed oil in your hair when you get out of the shower. It might feel greasy, but it’s better than being super dry, and you can wash it out the next day. This is recommended before using bleach because bleach can react to your previous hair dye.
Your hair came out so bomb girl !👌🔥🔥🔥
Thank you beauty! 🥰💖💖
Love it. Going to try it on my black hair.
Wow! 😍 I have been searching & searching for this certain “Carmel, honey, milk chocolate” color..it’s hard Bc pictures don’t really show the real color.. But OMG, this is it! I am obsessed! I’m definitely going to have it done!
*Why is it, when we have to try a few things Bc it didn’t go right the 1st time..is when we get the best results! One time I did my own highlights...😳When I took the foils out, I looked like I had platinum blond/white, dreads..🤦🏻♀️ My mom was laughing so hard, she couldn’t breath!! While I was practically dying & almost crying!! Then it looked orange 😩 . (LOL 😆) So I bought toner..it was purple, so my mom scares me & says “now it’s gonna turn purple!” she scared me a little! But the woman who sold it to me, said that’s what I needed..So I trusted her, she was right! It came out so good! But I’ve never been able to achieve the look again! It was like a goldish Carmel cappuccino color*
Gorgeous
Browns definitely your color
Looks good on you
I'm speechless
thank you so much 🥰💖💖
New Subbie !!! Your hair came out Beautiful 🙌🏻🥰
Thank you love!! 💕 I appreciate you 👼🏼
Looks beautiful but I have to say that you looked absolutely stunningly gorgeous with black hair ♥
hey i totally love this look! i will def try it out. How much 30 developer did you mix with the with the toner?
Hi babe! 💖 I’m glad you loved it! For toner the ratio is actually 1:2 , you can also use 20 Vol. developer instead of 30 Vol. just to make it a little healthier for your hair! it’s what my sister recommends now! Hope this helps!👼🏼
Ok, but does that work with already dyed black hair though? I have dyed it black for years and want to go like a chestnut brown, I wonder if it will work??
IT LOOKED AMAZING AT THE END OMG
Thank you babe!! 👼🏼💖💖
So beautiful I loved it!!!
Thank youu love 💞💞
It looks so good😭❤
Thank you 💕💓
I need a sister like yours 😭 your hair looks stunning!
awh! 🥺 thank you babe!!💖👼🏼
You are very pretty but black hair suits you so much more it just brings out your features
Hi there !
The results turned out amazing !
Could you please mention the proportion of bleach, 20vol developer and the colour ?
Nidhi K hi love! 💖 thank you so much!💕 so following this specific bleach instructions, it was bleach to developer ratio of 1:2
It comes with a scoop so we used two scoops of bleach and measured that in grams. So however many grams in bleach you use, multiply it by 2 for the developer! And as for the colour ratio it was 1:1 for the dye we used! Hope this helped😁
@@MargoHepburn thanks a tonne :)
@@MargoHepburn Please give ratio of developer to dye?
I'm bleaching my (very) dark brown hair soon, in order to dye it an auburn color and I'm so nervous, but this video made me feel a bit better about it
Lovavila Awh, I totally feel you! I was the same way! 🤭 but don’t be nervous love! I’m sure it’ll turn out amazing! 💞 thank you for watching 🥰
Lovavila you should go for it !
I might do this because i have really dark hair while the rest of my family has brown hair 🤧
It turned out so pretty.
Thank you love! 💞💕
can u use any toner? i can’t find any like that my hair is dark brown lol!
It’s really pretty ❤
Omg love your hair ❤
Thank you!!🥰🥰
Looks beautiful!!!
Thanks love!! 💗💗💗
It looks really good! You look nice in either hair color.👩
Awh thank you babe! 💕💞
Love it! Sometimes experiments turn out so damn good 🙃
very true! 🥰
I want to dye my hair as well
Unfortunately the Sally's here in my town is closed due to covid19 😞
Marnissa B same here hun! 🙁 but I did list the products in my description, that we used to purchase off of amazon if you’re interested 💖 they have more shades and colours as well!
@@MargoHepburn
Thank you! I will take a look at that!
You can order online from Sally’s too! My stuff came yesterday, so excited to try this. Looks so beautiful! ❤️
What! That's Great! Thanks for the tip!
Marnisha Bam? Is that you?
Love it! I have Jet black hair and I always get brown highlights at salon after lots of at home failed efforts. Quick Q. are your hair chemically processed in the length?
Thank you love! 🥰 & no, this is my natural hair length!
Turned out beautifully
Thank you love! 👼🏼💞
The color turned out gorgeous for you. Can you do this process with previously dyed hair
Thank you! 💞 & im sure you can still do this process just keep in mind that color does not lift color so make sure you start with bleach if you have a darker tone in your hair!
It looks really good i love the color
Thank you love💞💞
Great video! 2 questions, 1) my starting hair looks very similar to yours (both color/texture) expect that I do at home Keratin treatments. Without Keratin, my hair would be a frizz ball. Anyone else try this to do this at home Balayage over Keratin treated hair and get good results? 2) do you use a “purple” shampoo/conditioner afterward to keep hair from becoming brassy/orange? Thanks so much, love the video, you’re a beauty!
Hi Kate! Thank you so much 💕 To answer your 1st question, balayage would still turn out well over keratin treated hair! The only precaution I would take is while using bleach, use low volume such as 20, to prevent further damage, and just make sure to DEEP condition your hair! & for your 2nd question, I personally don’t use purple shampoo or conditioner but you can definitely use that instead to preserve the color! my main recommendation would be the Maui Moisture Hair Mask (deep conditioner) it’s what’s been helping my hair after this process! hope this helped! & thank you so much for watching 💗💕
Im shook u actually like and reply to ur subscribers 😢❤
Awh, I appreciate the support that’s why!💫👼🏼💞
Is there any particular method that she used to apply the bleach or did she take random chunks of hair and apply the bleach on it?
I love it! Did you want it lighter? Or what toner color would you of gone for?
Thanks Babe! 🥰 I actually was really happy with the color I ended up with! But if I wanted to go lighter in the future I would probably bleach some more sections and then use this WELLA toner (T11) to achieve a lighter shade! www.sallybeauty.com/hair/hair-color/toner/color-charm-permanent-liquid-toner/WELLA17.html
You look great with black hair.
Beautiful hair, beautiful colour😘
looks great!!
hello, love the hair it looks so great, I was wondering are you using blue shampoo or purple shampoo, because most girls they use that kind of shampoo? love the video
Hi Abigail! 💗 thank you so much! I would recommend using purple shampoo! But definitely consider buying a DEEP conditioner! I use the Maui Moisture Shea Butter Hair Mask, and it has made my hair feel super soft even after this process! Hope this helped & thank you for watching! ✨💖
Your sister is Super Fabulous, I wish I had a sister to help me do this type of thing.
Awh thank you! you can always ask a friend who is willing to help! 💖
Honestly looks amazing even with some darker shades.
You’re sooo beautiful 🥰 ... I’m about to dye my hair right meowww
Oooh yay I’m sure it’ll come out beautiful!! & thank you Angel!! 👼🏼💞💝
Hi can i ask does your sis work in a salon? the end result looks amazing and professional I almost cant believe you did this at home!
Reshma Begum Hi love! Thank you💞. & No my sister doesn’t work at a salon but she has a lot of experience with dying her own hair at home. She has just done her own research, so that’s why I trusted her to do it for me! haha
Ur sister did superb job 👌
Thank you hun! 💕💗
We really enjoyed watching even learn a lots lots thanks
Hey girlie, it came out great!! Did you dry your hair before adding the toner or did you apply it wet?
Hi babe! Thank you sm 💝
I applied the toner while my hair was a little bit damp, not completely dry but also not super wet! sorry for the late response, thank you for watching🥰
Came out really pretty
Thank you love! 🥰💫
your sister did a great job, lovely hair! the coloring is gorgeous! but obviously one would not be able to do it on your own
yur hair is goals
Thank you love 💖💖
it looks great! you said you mixes both of the wella colors. what proportions did you mix? did you just dump both bottles out and mix it with the developer or did you take a certain amount of from both bottles? and how much developer did you mix in with the wella? sorry i’m asking so many questions i’m actually dying my hair like this i got all of the products you used 😂
WAIT ALSO- did you wash your hair after the bleach? if so, did you wash it by itself or shampoo n conditioner?
Hi babe! 💓 I’m so happy to hear that!😭ok so the ratio for this WELLA toner is 1:2 (toner to developer). So following these measurements we just mixed the full bottle of (Light Blonde 8N/811) with HALF of the (Medium Blonde 7N/711). & just a tip , when you have the toner in your hair, make sure you are checking up on the color & make sure you wash it out as soon as you reach your desired color preference! Lastly, after bleach I only washed it out using a deep conditioner! I really hoped this helped & I’m sure your hair going to turn out amazing! 💞
Margo Hepburn thank you so so much! i’m so nervous i’ve never bleached my hair before. i’m scared i’m gonna mess up but we’ll see how it goes! 😁 much love ❤️
It looks very pretty on you 👍😊
Thank you Laura!!🥰💕💓
Do i need to put also the developer that comes from the toner? or just use the developer in the bottle to mix?
Also how much developer did you put in toner to color your hair? Thanks
Hi! I used a separate developer to mix with my Wella toner! Depending on which developer you use, it should have the indicated amount you should be using, on the bottle! I used Salon Care 20 Vol. developer. Hope this helped!💞
