After enduring several hair salon mishaps, including unwanted color, stained hair, and a taffy hair mess, I decided to take matters into my own hands for my next makeover. Following your tutorial to the letter, I can't help but feel like I'm floating on cloud nine with the result I achieved! I can't help but smile from ear to ear every time I catch a glimpse of myself in the mirror! Right from the start, I had a coppery look in mind, so I ventured into bleaching using 10 volumes, did it because I was affraid to mess it up but it was all worth it. After the bleaching, I applied the dye, and voilà! My hair transformed into a cascade of radiant copper shades that seem to shimmer under any light. It's simply spectacular. But the best part of it all is that my hair feels healthy and lustrous; No more regrets or disappointments when I look at my reflection. I feel filled with confidence thanks to this incredible DIY experience. All of this is thanks to you and your expert advice. So, from the bottom of my heart, I want to thank you endlessly for taking the time to post this.
Love this!! Fortunately I’ve had mostly good salon experiences, however i cannot justify the hundreds of dollars each time anymore. I’m so determined to do it myself!
Great! Happy for you 😊... but do you also have such a hard time finding a good hairdresser/salon? Seems that there are 10 lousy hairdressers to 1 good one imo! Or maybe even a 20/1 ratio.... 😮
I do my sister’s and my own hair during the summer, and this summer we decided to do balayage on her before adding some semi-permanent color. I was SO HAPPY to see a Brad Mondo Tutorial on how to do it because my mom and I are both fans! She thinks you are hilarious and such a personality! You get all the brownie points in this house!
I just tried this technique and my results were AMAZING!!! I used 20vol though, just in case I took too long on some sections and couldn't wash it out in time. Thanks so much for posting this and doing you! xo
I just wish he showed the results before toning because toning is what makes the biggest difference most of the time and what people get wrong the most besides doing a bad bleach job

I am utterly in love with Brad only cause of the way he presents himself in the videos. His slogan is live your extra life but he just gives the right amount of drama and spice and love how he is not overtly loud in his videos compared to a lot of YTers. Also BRAD MONDO I want to know where you shop your hoodies from
Thank you Brad! I did ur wolf cut tutorial and I followed this after. I'm extremely happy with the results! I put an Ash blonde over the top and finished with Keratin treatment. So happy! ❤
I brought that exact sample photo to the hairdresser yesterday. She did my entire head in thin foils, making a solid weird reddish blond. Im crying. I wish I could show her this video

Thank you so much for this video, Brad! We had to bring in color models last week and I was doing a balayage and I watched this the day before the service! It helped me a lot!!! Thank you!! 💖💖💖
Literally today I wanted to test myself in the salon. I knew I had a balayage client today and wanted to do a new technique. Tell me why 20 minutes before she came in, I was watching this video. The end results were amazing and she loved it. 😂😂😂
This technique is absolutely spot on! Makes total sense but unfortunately not one hairdresser has ever used this on me. (I live in a midsized city in Belgium, Europe with ZERO good hair salons) There's a serious lack of great hairdressers in Belgium, like SERIOUSLY and when professionally you're working on being really good at it,.. a very smart career move👍
I honestly learned so much from this video. Everything that I questioned before and couldn't find is here! Yayyy! 😆 since my hubby does my balayage, we had some incidents lol what saved my hair was the hair highlighting cap to give my balayage that full highlight look. But it also depends if you want those shadows, then I might not recommend it.
Balayage is my favoriteeee! I hope I could teach you some things 😘

15 seconds ago? Of course I'll watch it.
I just chickened out of balayaging my hair YESTERDAY after buying all the dye and decided not after watching your video of people fucking it up....is this a sign that I should do it? Now you post this! Goddamnit Brad what do i do!
I say do it and if you don't like it go brown instead of black hair dye.
You shouldn’t perfect balayage when hitting your hair with the bleach. You don’t want any harsh lines.
Been down in the dumps and I'm sick of it! Time to Glow Up! Super excited to see this video of yours, the Genie for us at home wanna be hairdressers 💕 keep being youu ✨✨✨✨
You are so talented🥺.
I am utterly in love with Brad only cause of the way he presents himself in the videos. His slogan is live your extra life but he just gives the right amount of drama and spice and love how he is not overtly loud in his videos compared to a lot of YTers.
Also BRAD MONDO I want to know where you shop your hoodies from
Brad: “it’s super easy!!”
thank you for having faith in us but ??
You should really make a series for hairdressers with your personal techniques, it would be ICONIC
I never got to do this in school so now that my mom wants me to do it, I need to watch tutorials and practice, practice, practice.
Helped my mom do some highlights and now I’m here to do balayage on myself bc I gained some confidence after testing on her lmaoo
I'm so torn between wanting to go buy supplies *right now* and thinking that I can't pull this off by myself 😂🙃
Sameeeeeeeeeee. It's a dilemma 😂
from a hairstylist in training: DONT DO IT lol
I need you to make a red hair dye and or pastel colors.
You can always lighten his current colors with conditioner to get a lighter, pastel look!
It looked so good at the end idk why people are saying it looks the same it literally doesn’t 💕 I want this done to my head some day
I did this at home a few months ago and i really liked it & I’m gonna do it again soon. Thank you Brad!
Watching this at cosmo school. Thanks Brad for all insight!
When you started talking about holding the hair with tension I was like OH that’s why my stylist was yanking on my hair😂😂😂
Lol “I thought she was being bitchy, but it turns out she’s just good at her job” 😂
I would never do this myself but really appreciate that Brad is taking the time to teach us all the same☺️
I’m training to be a hairdresser and honestly this was the most helpful video I’ve seen! More videos like this pleasee!!
Im crying. I wish I could show her this video
oh god......... i might have to do this LOL
Don't forget to film the process good luck 🙏🙏
Girl I'm with youuu

thank u so much! going to rinse my hair soon! this is the second time that I followed the video and did the balayage...I changed my the colour with amber at this time! 🤞
Dear Brad. I love your videos. I tried this out on myself. Ok it doesnt look super professional but it isnt too bad either. Thank you so much for your videos
Here from the text messages! Excited for this video(:
My husband followed this step by step on my hair. Lol I used 20 volume to air on the side of caution and I’m thoroughly impressed with the development so far. :) thank you 😊
Brad: "Hi beautiful"
Me on the toilet: *does debby ryan: "well hello there"
@The Queen Of Art there wasn’t any
“Does Debbie Ryan” 😂
CRYING THIS IS ME
Tell me why this was me just now 💀💀💀
Thank you so much for this video, Brad! We had to bring in color models last week and I was doing a balayage and I watched this the day before the service! It helped me a lot!!! Thank you!! 💖💖💖
I love how ur listening at them and how they want their hair😍😍
O.M.G THANKYOU!! i really need this now...😂😂🙏
STAY SAFE EVERYONE ♥
Literally today I wanted to test myself in the salon. I knew I had a balayage client today and wanted to do a new technique. Tell me why 20 minutes before she came in, I was watching this video. The end results were amazing and she loved it. 😂😂😂
Can you please show us how to do a shadow root next? I’ve learned a lot and I’d like to keep learning and you’re the only person I trust!
I really love the look you give your tools. It really shows the passion for what you do.
This technique is absolutely spot on! Makes total sense but unfortunately not one hairdresser has ever used this on me. (I live in a midsized city in Belgium, Europe with ZERO good hair salons) There's a serious lack of great hairdressers in Belgium, like SERIOUSLY
and when professionally you're working on being really good at it,.. a very smart career move👍
