- In this tutorial, I'm sharing how I do caramel highlights on dark hair using a balayage technique and clay lightener.
Most hairstylists find it hard to lift dark brown hair into blonde with balayage clay lightener, but I'm sharing my best tips to achieve caramel highlights.
The trick is in the tools, application, and product!

Yes, or we would simply do a glaze to tone the highlights.

What do you mean, you don’t shampoo out the toner? Does it not leave the hair greasy?
Not Kenra Demi permanent! It's fantastic as a toner!
Generally I don’t washout my toners but offer a thorough rinse for longevity.
