Thank you for these tutorials. I've been a stylist 42 years and believe me things are very different now. I need these videos so I can keep up and stay current. I've learned a lot about mixing and toning and the placement of my foils. I will always watch one of your videos!
9GI and 10GI are my FAVORITE! I mixed some 9M in with GI on a client recently and it turned out amazingly. You really can't go wrong with those GI shades! Beautiful work!❤️
Isn't it tho~oh my goodness I would love her natural hair! Beautiful colour, texture and condition....you could probably do anything to her hair and it would stay just perfect! Lucky lady❤️
Beautiful work but it would be really nice to answer all the questions asked. Some of them are questions I had too. Love following you! Thanks fir giving us confidence and great education!
I started using the blending agent a month ago and I use the biolage raw milk rinse and I love it thank you for the tip idk why I took me so long to do that
I have never even heard of a blending agent either. We are a matrix salon but our distributers and educators are not the best at telling us about ANYTHING! Matrix just launched all new bonded colors and I have to go elsewhere to learn anything. Can you tell me more about this blending agent?
Jamie, you just put a smile on my face - your enthusiasm and upbeat attitude are just awesome! I wish you could do my hair!!! Love this transformation. Also, my hair is short...but your long hair is my #hairgoals now :)
I used the conditioner trick to help blur the line when applying bleach on darker roots - as well as a clean brush to blend it out towards the roots more - it works AMAZING. Thank you so much for helping me gain more confidence in this trade :) Been doing hair for years but love learning new tricks. Keep it up!
Hey I just did this on my client today, Ive been doing hair professionally for about 17 years. I have had this client forever and she has incredibly thick hair. I didn't take my time I worked pretty standard pace and it took me about 6 hours for a cut, the bleaching, and a toner with a blowout. I always feel bad when it takes a long time to do a color/ full transformation but I was literally working non stop the whole time. Im curious how long does it take you to do your colors. Can you start adding the time it took for each style at the end of each video! Thanks
I love your videos. I use all your techniques, and became a updated stylist bc of the easy way you explains things! I’m old school so Im always looking for more simple way to achieve new trends, and you gave me that, plus boosted my confidence in my foils!!! I appreciate the tips sooooTHANK YOU!!! Even got your wow combs they are amazing!
Your channel is such an inspiration Jamie!! I've been following you for a while and your content is so high quality and I'm always learning so much from you! Subbed!! :)
I have never even heard of a blending agent either. We are a matrix salon but our distributers and educators are not the best at telling us about ANYTHING! Matrix just launched all new bonded colors and I have to go elsewhere to learn anything. Can you tell me more about this blending agent? What is it? What does it do?
I've heard and read a lot of stories of women saying Olaplex has been making their scalp dry and raw and causing extreme hair loss over some time. Have you ever heard or researched this? Just curious, I have never used it thanks. Edit- some time meaning 2 or 3 uses of Olaplex, hair continues to break off and fall out for up to a year with many women with no remedy
Hello!! I love your videos and practicing to them! I had a question, when you say you tip out the ends in between the foils on the hair you left out in the back section, are you grabbing all of that hair and fully saturating it and blending the top or do you weave them still?
Have you ever had any issues with a crease line on the hair since you bend your foil forward? I know that can happen just wondering if it's as big of a deal as people make it seem.
Do you prefer the milk rinse or shampoo? I was just watching another one. What's your current fav for blending? Thanks I'm really enjoying these. They are better than the btc education I purchased. 💛 Thank you
Hi jami dana can you do toturisl to color brown and blond what bleach you us what developer you us you need model befour bloch in hear hear if you professional gunkey blond highlight brown an blond lik aprial lol
Hi jamie dana can you do gunkey blond highlight to color brown and blond lik aprial lol if you professional you can us blond me bleach or flash light wy you us color rains no good what is natural hear hear you hav to tell what is natural hear hear dont skip if hear is black can you do brown and black to color
I have been told by 3 stylists at 3 different salons that it would be impossible to get my hair this way in one session. A couple of months ago I paid over $400 to get a balayage. It took over 3 hours and afterwards my hair barely looked like it was highlighted. Next time I am going to do my hair myself. If I screw up at least I didn't pay over $400 to have someone else mess it up. I doubt I will do worse than these professionals I have been going to.
I have been a stylist for 12 years and almost always have to do shadow roots just to hide bleed marks from bleach. I tried your conditioner trick on a client today and oh. my. goodness, what a phenomenal difference it made!! I can’t stand “RUclips university” for hairstylists but I am so glad I stumbled on your channel!!! ❤
Beautiful color. Nice wave. But using a curling iron on the hair leaves the hair strands very stringy and messy. Use a heated curling brush to turn the ends under a little bit so they look neat and natural.
not one single salon will do this on my hair, I have had one set of lights, been told it will take another 3 times over 5 months! and it's a journey! so stuck with brassy brown right now
@@Glesga_lassie wanted to try it out on client tomorrow, any ideas on what I could use instead? It looks like it could speed up the process by anchoring the hair in place and creating the blend..I don't know if you can even get blending agent in the UK.If anyone has any tips they'll be gratefully received 🙂
Hi jamie what developer you mix tell tru you hav to show complet hear color what you mix with lightner dont skip dont lie what is natural hear hear you hav to no
Hi I like your videos I wonder if u can help me I just had a blonde balayage baby light but it’s too much for me how can I correct it I like the colour it’s just all over and I do not like it I was dark brown Thank u
Hi Jamie, love your tutorials and you were the first person to introduce me to conditioner as a blending agent, so thank you so much;-) I find that it works brilliant for natural bases 7,8, i do find that for me , the blending gets a bit orangy on darker natural bases like 3,4,5,6 , any tips on that? Thank you and lots of love your way, im binge watching your videos for inspiration;-))))
thank you very much for this video. The result is gorgeous! One thing which is not shown, is how you connect the back to diagonal back foils on the side, as in the back, you leave a certain amount of natural roots out, I suppose you need such a mount to gradually reduce when you go towards the front of the head. I find it interesting to find a way of doing it without a root shadow, just by using the natural hair color.
Hi loved this video. Used it on a lady. But it didn't come out to have as much blonde as your girl. Don't know what I did . Placed them where you showed.
Anyone else agree that this model's hair is beautiful before also! Beautiful either way!!!!

Same Karen! So appreciate these tutorials Jamie. You are so talented and realistic/transparent so we can’t take the techniques to the salon floor.
9GI and 10GI are my FAVORITE! I mixed some 9M in with GI on a client recently and it turned out amazingly. You really can't go wrong with those GI shades! Beautiful work!❤️
good to know!
The gi’s are MY FAVORITE. I’m gonna mix with a little m now too. Thanks for that!
The VG series is gorgeous too!
What does the I in GI stand for is it a iridescent?
Her natural hair color it’s so pretty! This balayage technique is amazing it came out gorgeous 😻

If I struggling to tease the hair back I usually use texturising powder 💫😊
And is a lot easier

If I were to go to a salon to get this done what should I tell them, because I love this but I don’t know what I would be asking for specifically.

Same I have never heard of the blending agent sound like an awesome new product 😊

How many tip outs did you do on the side of the head I saw one but is it every other or just at the hairline by the ear?
Fab but better without so much music in the background
Cosmetology student here! I noticed that you put some lightener on the blending agent, will that lightener hold? What happens?
Hey Jamie, do you find you get a warm band at all when using conditioner to blend? I’m nervous about that x

Omg it looks amazing as always!!!😍😍
Hi,what you using near the roots area before applying the powder lighter?thanks

Shades eq (the toner she used) uses a specific processing solution.

What exactly is a blending agent? I'm imagining it's similar to a conditioner, but I'm curious about the texture and consistency.
Your video are the best! ❤️
Love this Jamie ❤️ great refresher and nice to see how taking the left out ends makes a difference when lightning those too! Thank you 😎 Sonia
Beautiful work. Maybe I’ll do that with my hair soon. Good job, Jamie 😁👍🏾
