    blending the lightener into conditioner weakens the lightener and while it can help blend it also creates warmth because that area doesn't lift as well and gets stuck in the gold stage

    • @aracelilozano8553

      True!!!!

    • @dsmith8570
      @dsmith8570 4 года назад +2

      You can counter it though with your toner in those areas but that happens a lot with teasy lights or balayage anyway from feathering lightened up.

      Leah Day hi thanks for the video it is great, we’re u blending the root colour with the lightener in all the foils at the back? if so what was the root colour used again? and how do u stop it going a reddish colour when mixed with lightener? if that makes sence?

      Emma Burbridge I didn't put a root color on her, I used conditioner to blend the root. If you watch the full video with sound, I explain that. But I'll be sharing another video with a root color, so stay tuned

    Love this technique, I’ve used conditioner to blend my balayage ever since I’ve started watching your videos and I love it! Quick question, I’ve always been told that Shades EQ toners have to process for the full 20 minutes, do you ever process them that long or do you usually just watch for the tones to change?

      Lea Just because I don’t know this one technique doesn’t make me a bad hair stylist. It sounds scary to clients but every hair stylist continues their education and not every hair stylist knows everything. And if they act like they know everything and know every technique they’re ignorant. Being a hair stylist is hard work and it’s a growing industry. You’re supposed to want to learn and gain knowledge from all the hair stylists around you. Who else do you think she posted this video for? It would be pointless if it wasn’t directed to hair stylists wanting to learn. I know a lot and I’m confident in my work but I’m always willing to learn to broaden my field of knowledge to create the best experience I can for my clients!

      Where are you located? I have had so much bad luck with hair dressers that I kpe have trust issues. 🙁I hair is so damaged now. Someone messed up the colors big time, so I went somewhere else to get fixed and she made it worse. I am so sad about not being able to trust any salon anymore.

    This video was Soooo helpful. I’m confused on the conditioner. How does it help it blend and if the bleach touches the conditioner what happens?

    • @JamieDana
      @JamieDana  6 лет назад

      So glad you found it helpful. The conditioner helps it blend by creating softer lines of demarcation. Try it out on a dollhead and you'll be able to see what I mean :)

    it would be great if you would write on your video the reference of the products you use ! Cause I'm french and it's quite hard to understand every product name.

    Hi Jamie, Great job, it's gorgeous. My question is on the pattern you do on the back. So you do 2 diagonal back on each side and then 2 in the middle and repeat it trough out the back? Another question. Would you use the conditioner as a buffer on a regular HL so you don't get tiger stripes ? Or do you think it would leave to much of a root? Thank you!

    • @JamieDana
      @JamieDana  6 лет назад +2

      Thank you so much! So for the pattern in the back, I do two diagonal back sections then a straight across and continue that to the top where I usually do three straight across at the very top. I personally wouldn't use it for a regular highlight, if your highlights feel like tiger stripes, it's probably because you're taking too thick of a section for the highlights. Try taking in less hair and see if that helps!
