Wanted to pin a comment answering a couple of the most asked questions!
• I used the smaller side of the comb
• I left in for about 40ish minutes after applying the last strand.
• I toned in the shower. Wash with purple shampoo (or blue if it’s orange) and apply purple conditioner as normal but let it sit for about 5 min.

Ely Maysonet I tried to be very thorough in the video. Just place the section on the comb and it separates the hair. Then I highlighted the top of that section.

Better off doing it yourself at home, it can always be fixed by trial and error. Great job on this video! Her hair is beautiful and in great condition.
@@jodyspan5836 Jody, you're right. Thats been my experience too. They don't listen and spend too much time using you as a counselor for their drama. Its sad, to spend $300 on hair + tip and the results are disappointing, which have looked better with a diy box. Hairdressers NEED to know that this is a woman's power, her antennae. Be better listeners, stylists. Go to therapy and stop using your clients hair for a dumping station. Deanndra's hair is gorgeous. So beautiful. Nice job.
Looks great. I used to spend 200 bucks twice a year to get my hair professionally highlighted. Then I tried the revlon highlighting kit and i realized i can do it myself for like 10 bucks. Its not as perfect as in the salon, but i think I'm the only one that notices any flaws. It works great and saves serious dough. I'm never spending money at the salon ever again.

I made it my mission to watch all the good professional videos and really learn from them to actually help people. Instead of just frying my hair off for views. I’m always open to tips in the comments! It’s how I learned to tone my hair & I’m forever thankful!
Honestly, DIY is the way to go since most stylists use old school striped foiled look. Unless you go to a high end salon, trial and error and getting educated yourself will get you the results and save money! I spent approx $200 for salon highlights in the past with it looking like I never had highlights for dark hair. No more salons for me!

You do your highlights like I do. Totally free hand. Sometimes i use a toothbrush to simply comb through the bleach for perfect face framing highlights. Looks very natural and turns out better than anything I have paid for in a salon.

Love your videos on highlighting...got inspired and did mine too and it came out wonderful(and it was first time for me)... I used the comb technique!! As I was first timer I thought it will take me lot of time to separate hair... so I separated hair using comb all through my hair and put a tiny clip on them(got them at Sally’s)... once I was done with whole head then I mixed bleach and applied to each section... that way the processing time between sections was not too much... also no washing hands in between sectioning hair and applying bleach!!

Little scared I got about level 5 hair with some highlights already I may just use my fingers to do mine ok n some parts bc I have blonde in some places I have more of a ombre baylage going in but let me know what you think i love this lightener already tried a test strand it's phenomenal

honestly, if you take your time and blend blend blend, you'll be ok. The one time I messed up my hair with bleach is because I rushed it.The comb does the hard part so just saturate your hair evenly and blend out harsh lines at the top and bet it comes out so good. If you hate it I have a video on when I messed up my hair and showed how I fixed it lol

I tried to be detailed in the video and did a close up. But basically you just place your section in the comb. It will create two sections. Then grab the top and highlight that.

I have yet to find a hairdresser that can lift dark hair where you want it even though I always show them pictures so there's no confusion. I always tell them a bailage but they continue doing the traditional striped foils. I always do at home and achieve the look I am going for, the problem is the products available to create the lift for dimension, I will definitely try this brand!
