      @pacattack81 Год назад +4

Whatever you buy, don't buy a range rover. You will regret it if you do. The good thing is you already know this ahead of time so you know deep down you shouldn't buy it. You can get the same features and ride experience with so many other brands and models. It's not worth the expensive problems you will wind up having.

@@pacattack81 Literally everyone of my friends says no. LOL
The problem with the Range Rover is its issues may not allow me to buy it even though I want it. The residual value is so bad it makes the lease payments astronomical. If I pay cash or I finance at full price that's dumb too and even if I get it for a decent price used now I am looking at less warranty and a greater chance of paying for problems out of my pocket sooner. Everyone says get an X5/X7, GLE/GLS or GX460. Shame, the Range is awesome and the local dealer has very nice people.

    • @venom5809

@@pacattack81 The GLS is a nice vehicle, I just find it bland and kind of ugly. The X7 is better looking. The Cayenne is ok but the amount of options and customization are too much, just a headache. Lexus pricing is fair and they make it dead easy to pick one. The Range Rover is literally the hot girl everyone tells you is trouble and not to date but you still want to anyway. LOL. Based on the prices of the GX, the spec Range Rovers to me should be priced at $80,000, not $100,000, I feel like they can justify a $10,000 premium at best, not $30,000.

Just bought a 2024 4Runner off road premium for $47,350 …with only options I wanted. Very Lucky. KDSS, 4 low, high; rear locker, crawl, multi terrain, cameras side, front, 360, rear, etc.
Put on WildPeak LT tires, rock rails, Uptop overland Bravo roof rack installed. Total cost around$51,300 with destination.
GX550 great vehicle; however, could not justify the Overtrail cost and dealer markup, options added that I don’t want. Plus still need to install a good roof rack , rock rails, and wanted Wildpeak tires.
Also wanted that proven V6 engine. Adding a suspension and lift in future for $3000.
I am very happy. Have driven 2000 miles, drives great, KDSS makes a difference. Roof Rack very little wind noise, tires quiet, and getting about 19 mpg on highway.

Lexus is getting a lot of great press for this new SUV and rightly so. They are not being criticized however, for the configuration decisions on these initial releases. I hope others will join me in calling on Lexus to provide for the option of the Mark Levinson stereo on the premium +trim. Currently the only way you can get it is to spec the luxury, luxury + or overtrail +. Lexus is basically forcing you into leather interior and the harsher riding 22" wheels for the privilege of adding a decent stereo system. These are not cheap cars in any trim level and not being able to spec the vechicle that way a buyer would really like it is un Lexus. The IS line provides for ML in every trim. The RX line provides for ML in all trims starting with premium +. With the GX line Lexus seems to be telling its loyal customers they are nothing more than an ATM ripe for the plucking.

@tmwei396 every Lexus vehicle's horsepower rating is using premium gas. The engines will detune themselves (i.e. lose horsepower) if you only give them regular gas, but that's not a smart thing to do on a turbocharged engine.
If you're buying a $72K truck then complaining about an extra 30-45 cents a gallon for gas, you probably shouldn't be buying a $72K truck.

@@jimmy-buffett This is just the kind of canned response I expect from a badge buyers. I'm fortunate enough to be very comfortable financially but I didn't get to be this way by spending money where I don't need to. I don't know where you live but here in NJ the price difference between regular and premium is over $1/gallon so it's not as insignificant as you say. Your suggestion that I shouldn't buy a $72K truck because I'm concerned about fuel cost is ignorant, elitist and typical of "luxury" buyers who considers paying more for no relative gain is a luxury privilege. You probably demand to pay more for an oil filter because it says Lexus on the box instead of Toyota even though they are identical, not just in looks but in material and construction. They come from the same factory off the same assembly line. But I suppose if I'm going to complain about paying a few bucks more for a Lexus filter then I shouldn't be buying a Lexus.

My point wasn't so much to defend Lexus as a brand, but to point out the hilarity of you complaining that a luxury vehicle with two turbos requires premium fuel to make its rated horsepower. Every luxury vehicle from every luxury vehicle manufacturer in this price range that uses turbocharging is rated for premium gas. Have you not shopped vehicles in this price range before? Please share the luxury vehicle you're considering in the same price range that has a turbocharged engine rated for regular gas.

But then again it’s about the same price as decent half ton pickup from the big three and Toyota.

It's a more rugged SUV, which is what this channel is all about. Price is secondary if not tertiary to the mission.
If they put out a poll and only covered what everyone could afford all videos would be about 20 year old jeeps with rebuilt titles

When adding "all the goodies" part, reminded me of when "we" were configuring our new Grenadier & our most label/material obsessed bf wanted EVERYTHING why? Bc in his mind, if it Cost more? It MUST be Better. He drives G63-also him Oooh let's have 2 of those freezers😂. Alex: Ohh have to get the Freezer combo😂. & idk rear Capt chairs bother me, unless in an executive or conversion van type vehicle. But SUVs & or vehicles that are p/u sort of based-ish it negates storage. And why I dislike trucks as a general rule today. See 1 person driving this massive behemoth. They complain about its fuel & price as IF ANYONE FORCED them to buy the PO💩 to keep up with the Jones's. They never tow&Biggest obstacle is the Wholepaycheck speedbump 🤣🤢🤮😒🙄

Lexus front end designs are hideous. Looks like a Cylon

Not a big fan of several of their front end designs, but the front end on this new GX550 looks awesome. Anyone who calls it hideous needs their opinion card revoked and/or their eyes checked.
