      @@jdesmo1 You guys are talking out your a$$. Have you personally been inside the new GX? It might look a bit bland, relatively speaking, in terms of the mostly monochrome color theme, but every reviewer that has actually sat in it has expressed that the materials are high quality and that everything looks and feels very premium in person.

    Get some all terrain tires for this base version and you will have all-weather capabilities better than most vehicles on the road today. The fact that this vehicle has synthetic leather shouldn't stray you away. Mercedes and BMW have been putting synthetic leather in their vehicles for years and those materials wear better than any leather can, and still feel premium 20 years later. If luxury and off-road capability are fighting for your money, this is way to go.

And most wish the Sequoia didn't have the hybrid tech because the battery in the rear screws up the cargo area. This GX with a non-hybrid 3.4TT is the configuration many Sequoia owners wish that they could get.

      They aren't "making" you get anything. Lexus specs the vehicles & then allocates them to dealers. Dealers do not get the option to change FIO (factory installed options like the ones you mentioned) once the vehicle has been allocated.

    • @baltimorejae7397
      @baltimorejae7397 11 месяцев назад

      @@sawyermartin4434 So Lexus needs to take the option to build off the website. Because you can build it without the features. But dealers (Westside Lexus) say it can't be done.

    • @sawyermartin4434
      @sawyermartin4434 11 месяцев назад

      @baltimorejae7397 No, they don't. Just like Toyota, Lexus has a build configurator on their website so that consumers can see what options exist & narrow down what they want. But ultimately the configurator just exists so that you can put in your information & a dealer can contact you. They can likely get what you want, there just aren't any in allocation presently & with no order process, they can't give you an accurate timeline as to how long it will take. If you're the patient type, you can typically give them a deposit so that you're first in line when the truck you're looking for becomes available through allocation.

    I would compare this to the Rivian R1S….also this would get its A$$ kicked against the Rivian R1S. Storage, interior, audio system, 0-60, MPG, manufacture warranty, sky light, approach angle, break over angle, departure angle, water wadding depth, tire size, horse power, torque, tech, don’t need “4 lo or 4 high” because it has instant torque vectoring, wireless charging, built in compressor, self leaving, over the air updates, bigger 3rd row seat, more room behind 3rd row, has true split gate, true flat cargo…OK my finger are getting tired typing about how much better the R1S is better than every version of this is, so I’ll stop here.

      @@jml9550 to be honest for me it’s less about the cost and more about range. So I guess it depends how large the GX tank is vs. The Land Cruiser. I don’t want to be at the gas station every 400KM filling up my tank, or going on my long distance trips and worrying about making it to the next gas station.
      The new Tacoma for example is ridiculous how much they shrunk the tank. The range on the non-hybrid is crappy even though the motor is technically more efficient.

    • @jml9550
      @jml9550 11 месяцев назад +2

      @@PROutdoors94 For US spec from what I read it has a 21.1 gallon tank. Assuming 20 usable gallon at 18MPG highway, that’s 360 miles range. Which is not bad for an average person driving 70MPH, that’s 5 hours worth of driving during long interstate trip. Most people drives 3-4 hours max and needs a break. Also do keep in mind that the GX TTV6 will be much more powerful than the iforce Max 4 cylinder hybrid in the Tacoma or LC.

There is already a waiting list and apparently this dealership cannot build, they can only sell allocation (ok sure). Think about it. If a dealership had the capacity to place an order, why wouldn't they? It would serve ZERO purpose for them to decline placing orders & creating a pipeline of future sales for themselves. Your salesperson is a moron in that he didn't know what he was talking about in regards to the MSRPs not being known, but he is correct in saying that their dealership is limited to allocation only & not able to place an order for you.
