    Hello everyone!
    First of all, thanks a ton for your support and great feedback for this video. Good to know that a lot of you have been able to negotiate well after using some of the tips in this video! Here is answering some of the repeatedly asked questions in the comments section:
    Question1: How can I not tell the recruiter my expected CTC in the very beginning?
    Answer: What I meant was - Do not jump into answering this question even without knowing basic things about the job. If the recruiter insists on getting an "expected CTC" from you in the first round (which is mostly a telephone interview), just make sure to ask basic information such as job profile, primary responsibilities, reporting, job location and so on. Make a mental assessment if what you have in mind is okay. Then you can quote your number.
    Question 2: How much hike should I ask based on my "N" years of experience/ or for a particular role?
    Answer: There is no definite answer to this question. This clearly depends on your industry, the company, the kind of role you are applying for, urgency of the recruiter to fill the position and few more factors. So, as said in this video, please spend some time on LinkedIN and other professional networking sites to know your industry standard. This should give you an idea.
    Thank You :)

    • @RS-dx2fr
      @RS-dx2fr 3 года назад +1

      Hi Maze Winner could you answer to these issues? 1. As you mentioned in one point where we shouldn't give our expected CTC to the recruiter. But what should we do if the job advertisement mentions the applicants to share the current and expected CTC wit the application??
      2. I have been offered an opportunity for 3 months position with the a counter CTC which was double of my current CTC to which I agreed upon without any negotiation and took 2 days to sign it. Though it was 20% lesser than my expected CTC I shared with them in the beginning of the application and later I got to know through glassdoor the average package for this role in the organisation was the expected CTC I asked at the first place. So shall I renegotiate the salary if they are willing to extend my contract after 3 months??

    In some companies, we apply online and in the expected CTC box, we can only enter figures. What figure should we put at that time. I understand that during a face to face or telephonic interview, if the recruiter asks for expected salary we can first ask them the overhead amount and then calculate accordingly for a unique figure. But in case of online, please guide what should we do

    As a recruiter, I always ask for expected salary of the candidate because I do not want to waste time in interviewing the candidate where I am not going to meet his expectations. So first I will ask for current and expected CTC.
    I do not agree with the words “ask for more, nothing is going to happen”. Ask for a number which is realistic or little more than that.
    In some organizations, recruiter will be different from the hiring manager and you need to ask about this at the very beginning of hiring process. Hiring manager is the one who is going to offer finally.

    Thanks for this useful content. I have a question.
    I have 7 years experience but with 5 lpa as my CTC. I feel like my current employer don't pay me as per the industry. So, Can I set expected CTC to 12.55 LPA?

    • @amirhasan5587
      @amirhasan5587 2 года назад +1

      Ask for 15 LPA, FIXED and set a number (12.55, say) in your mind below which you'll not accept the job offer. Once you get a job offer, don't leave your company soon. Serve the complete notice period and keep looking for better offers and never shy away from asking for 20 LPA if you hold an offer of 15 LPA (say) i.e. keep asking for a higher FIXED salary - it's on the table for the right candidate

    Mam please help me in this.
    I have got offer at one of the big4.They offered me a package considering my current holding package. But I didnt negotiate as I was afraid if i will lose if I ask more, it was just 6% hike.
    Also I accepted it.
    But now after 2 weeks of accepting the offer, I have cracked another interview at a good company and they are offering me a higher package.
    But personally I feel like joining the Initial company but not happy with their package.
    Is it okay to ask the HR to revise my offer letter based on the new offer I have so that I will continue with them. ? Any danger in asking that and moving with the same company? Please advice.

    I'm still waiting for the day when people in this country stop acting like job seekers. We need entrepreneurs - we may have our excuses about why this isn't the case, but this country cannot grow of we remain dependent on the technology, capital, management practices and creativity of other countries. Stop chasing salaries and start building wealth - that's the only way we'll stop being slaves to foreign countries. We slave away and they capture a major chunk of the benefits that our productivity generates.

      You mean only 1 person will be work in a company, that is the entrepreneur himself/herself ?

      So true, we need radical change in mindset and this should be planted & nurtured from school it self.
      So far it was Ok to have this labour to the world model as employment was needed first for large developing countries like us ...but now we have moved beyond it.

    After watching such videos, even the dumbest guys mention 5 to 6 times more salary than they actually deserve in their application.
    And one more thing: Recruiters don't have as much pressure as the candidates have for finding a job. Recruiters get lots of applications and they have to choose a few.
