Hi madam I became ur fan of ur channel and all contents are too good but one issue is u should reduce the intro super charge sound and last segment of the video .....if we put headphones and listen it affects the user
"Hi, my name is Anne. It so nice to meet you. Thank you for taking the time to see me in person. I really appreciate it. So, as you can see from my resume. I’ve been working at company X for the last 10 years and for the last 3 years I’ve been a senior financial analyst. And I’m basically responsible for analyzing financial data and making recommendations to higher levels of management. And I’m currently working on a very interesting project on how big data has implications on not only the finance department, but the organization as a whole. So I was really excited to read about the job opening for group financial controller. And the thing is I’m currently looking for ways in which I can grow in my career and I’m really passionate about the work I do and I’m always looking for new responsibilities too add on and learn new things constantly and in fact the project that I’m working on that I mentioned right now. I’m leading a team of five people and I’ve learnt an enormous amount by working so closely with them. So that’s it, that’s about me."
You helped me pass my interview. Hired! Yay! Dream job! Your style is so unique and resonates with me. Thank you so much Sonal. Keep up the good work. You are changing lives. I'm sure you know that. :)
Hello, I just wanna thank you, I used your "answer template" for my interview and got selected by just answering 1 question, "tell me about yourself". Today, I've completed more than 10 months in this job, my FIRST job. Thank You ❤️ Gonna use this again for my next one. Wish me luck 😊
I really like the way you simply structured the answer I can easily add my experience to it. I got my last job due to this. I was looking for this video again and finally found it. On to the next job 👍
Sonal, I started binge watching your videos about two weeks ago as I was in the throes of interviewing and needed to get back into the swing of things since I last went through the (unpleasant, to say the least) process! Thanks to the tips you shared, I got a job offer yesterday within an hour after interviewing. I think it was because I treated the interview as a tennis match and engaged with the interviewer and got her talking about herself AND when the interviewer asked me at the end if I had any questions, I took the opportunity to offer up some of my strengths and to tell her what made me stand out from the other applicants. She thanked me for being assertive. And believe me, that was no easy feat as I loathe talking myself up. :-) Please keep up the good work and keep the videos coming. They are so amazingly helpful in so many ways!
EC firstly congrats on you.... Could you explain a bit more what did you say for expressing your strength way ? ``when the interviewer asked me at the end if I had any questions, I took the opportunity to offer up some of my strengths and to tell her what made me stand out from the other applicants. She thanked me for being assertive. ``
It's been so nice that I got recommendations of this channel. The content is really informative, rich and very much linked with real life scenarios. Thanks so much
This was really awesome. This is how professional interview goes n interviewers will show interest as it sounds unique. Kudos Supercharge.. U EARNED A NEW SUBSCRIBER.
It really good to know both the sides (recruiter/candidate). These days I am taking interviews and your videos are really helping me out to understand the mindset of candidates as well the recruiter. So Awesome video again 👏👏♥️♥️
I want to thank you for your videos. I was able to land a job with the help of this video in particular because they asked this exact question and were definitely happy with my answer. Thank you for putting your beautiful words and advice out into the world!
*“Tell Me about Yourself”* _question gives you a great opportunity to spotlight the experience and skills that make you the ideal candidate for the job._
After watching your video I realised that in all my previous interviews I blundered by telling them my weak points and reasons for leaving jobs in my introduction. And this time I revamped my script and followed all the steps and guess what I caught the fish. My bait worked they asked exactly the same thing what I wanted them to ask and all thanks to you. You are an amazing mentor and keep doing the good work 👍
I want to add that it depends on the stage of interview and the role you are applying for. I'm often involved with interviewing candidates to join our team once they have been through the initial HR screening. When I ask this question I wish more would share their hobbies and interests outside of work. We are trying to determine which of multiple candidates at a similar level we most want to work with on a daily basis for the foreseeable future. This question provides an opportunity to share hidden skills you might not have had a chance to explore professionally as well as help determine cultural fit.
Thanks for sharing Don. You raise a good point and there’s some mirroring involved. If the interviewer is wants to know what you do outside of work, then of course by all means, share the interesting bits. This advice is more for a general/first stage interview where they don’t ask about outside work interests.
You are my great Inspiration. These videos are helping me a lot. So grateful for this. I want to request you to share information on Resume and it's formate, no of pages, etc. I am HR fresher.
It's great to reach your channel, this 10 minutes video really build confidence to next level. I appreciate your efforts. Thanks a lot for your valuable tips.
I've watched several of these types of videos to help gain the understanding & edge for the job/career recruitment process. This one is by far, one of the best I've seen as it relates to this topic. Clear, concise & very informative. That 'blank slate' analogy you used was perfect. I subscribed without thought & look forward to learning more from you in the pursuit of a new & fulfilling career. Thank you for sharing your wisdom Sonal--God Bless You.
Absolutely love your comment, glad the video is useful. My advice and tips come from being on both sides of hiring: as HR and as a candidate. Hence no fluff, no BS from me, ever! Welcome to the channel!
Glad you brought up the 3rd point. That clearly means that the recruiters do not do their job seriously. I usually tell the recruiter to refer the resume. I have also replied to some .. oh.. so you didn't see my resume before calling me, take your time and call me.
Thank you for the video and tips. Shouldn't the answer to the question "Why am I here?" rather focus on our motivation for this particular position/company and not be generalized by answers like "I'm looking for a new position where I can grow", "I'm passionate (passion disappears over time) about work", "I'm always looking for new tasks" (this could also look like we're always looking for a new job).... That is, how many candidates say the same thing and we want to stand out from the crowd.
Hi Dejan, Good point. I think there are two different things. One is ‘tell me about yourself’. In a 90 second intro, one needs brace oneself between explaining and piquing interest. By talking about why you’re there and what interested you about the role, you help the interviewer connect the dots. The other is ‘why should we hire you’, and that’s a separate topic, for which incidentally I have a separate video! Hope this helps!
Hey Sonal! Thanks a bunch! I spoke confidently during my interview! I borrowed a few lines from the sample introduction you and even practiced in front of the mirror. Thank you Sonal❤ thanks a bunch! Keep doing the good help you do❤
Really insightful, motivating and extremely useful.... So glad to have watched your videos and more to gooo..your tips are so practical and different from others. Loving it. I fear the HR round but after watching, it's a different feeling....thanks

Hi Sonal ! your videos are very helpful. After long stay at one company (10 years) now it is time to re-sharpen interview skills. I hope other videos are helpful too.
You're the best!! I have seen many people asking candidates to talk about their hobbies. That is not only irrelevant but also childish. Just the audio, in the beginning, is too loud. But the way you blink is cute, so it's all good!
This is the perfect video that answered my concerns since I was cramming too much information in my previous answers to this deceptively tricky question. Thank you!
Your videos, tips and advice are really wonderful. They will help anyone in their career to prepare themselves well. I had a HR round today and was going through your videos to answer the difficult (and not so difficult) questions in a better way. Would like to share my experience from the HR round. It started with Introduction where the HR started the intro with his personal background first. He also shared his personal interest and then moved unto his professional side. I was then asked to brief about my background starting with my personal side including my interests/hobbies first. It then went ahead with discussing the projects and role that I have worked on. The next 2 questions that he asked was - Why are you switching ? What are your expectations from your next organisation ? He did not ask about my salary expectations, and did not give me an opportunity to justify my demand. Is this normal ?
Starting at 5:55 please do not blink, or make hand gestures, itch or look away, it only indicated nervousness. Maintain good eye contact, speak confidently starting with your educational background, professional affiliations, your work experience specifically focused on job description keywords. Later - Your achievements, and why you are a good fit/candidate, and what skills will you bring onboard. Also, very important study the organization beforehand, the type of product/service they are offering, your relevant experience, and how you will contribute to the success.
