You prolly dont care but does anyone know a way to get back into an Instagram account?? I somehow lost my account password. I love any help you can give me.
@Alex Dallas i really appreciate your reply. I got to the site on google and Im in the hacking process atm. Looks like it's gonna take a while so I will reply here later when my account password hopefully is recovered.
This week I had my first job interview in eighteen years, and my performance was disastrous. Since then I've been watching these videos every day and taking notes. Great information.
I like your style - calm, concise, straight to the point, no fancy vocabulary, easy to follow which is hard to find nowadays. Most youtoubers providing career advice want to look over - enthusiastic, high pitch and almost pushing the words down your years. Great information, keep going, don't change!
My Name is Pius Kimani from Naivasha, Kenya in East Africa. I would like to thank you very much for your teaching/coaching, I landed on a very good job as a Manager as a result of following your teachings. I am really happy. There are not many opportunities in Kenya and the competition is fierce but your ideas and teaching made me the candidate of choice out of very many equally or more qualified candidates. I will keep following you on tips on how to now do a great job and get to keep the job as I was unemployed for 8 months and it wasn't nice out there. Thank you very much for all the great work you are doing.
Hi, Don, I'm here to thank you!! in January, 2022, I started watching your videos trying to land a new job in I.T. Today i'm landing my third job. Your videos made me feel confortable and prepared for interviews, before it, I had the technical skills but didn't know how to answer simple questions. Thanks a lot, best regards from Brazil!
I appreciate your perspective - articulating one's self can be very difficult! I actually define who I am in the last video on my channel - I encourage everyone to do something similar: Define WHO YOU ARE, and then stay committed to stay true to yourself.
Just turned in application 15 and got asked to interview next week. I’ve had 6 interviews that landed me no offers. I am binge watching your videos to prep for Tuesday’s interview. Hopefully this is the boost I need to land this job 😬
Hey Don. I came here to say thank you for all your tips. I was trying to move to another job after 3 years working for the same company. I lost the feeling about being interviewed. After watch many videos I felt so confident and I smashed it. THe interview was only with directors and nobody from HR. They were a bit lost asking me questions. What I did? I made notes about 10 questions HR normally asks and I started introducing myself and following the list. THANK YOU.
Don! Thank you so so much for taking your time to provide all these wonderful hiring tips to all of us. Personally I'd like to thank you. I went through some of your videos for the tips prior to a final interview. Lemme tell you.. I had an hour and half interview with 3 amazing people in the company and today, I received the job offer! It's been a hard time for me to land for a job especially in an English-speaking country (that's not my mother tongue); and by just going through all your videos gave me a huge encouragement that I could nail it. One thing for sure, preparation is one of the key prior to the interview. You definitely don't want to just show up with all the thought of "Ok, I will say what i need to say. It's just an interview." A big NO! Thank you so much, Don! Owe you big time 😊 stay safe.
Sir, you're the true teacher for the interview essentials. I'm not native speaker of English, but your way of talking and explaining effective and essential details of interview push me to practice my language knowledge and deepness of interview.
This is definitely the most important question anyone should prepare for. It will 99% of the time be asked and it will setup the tone of the rest of the interview. If this answer is sloppy, the rest of the interview will be bumpy.
One question that really stumps me is "Who are you?" I can come up with WHAT I am: hard worker, self starter, etc. But I don't know what answer someone is looking for with this question. I saw this question on a worksheet, rather than asked in an interview. Thank goodness!
This, plus your video about figuring out what makes you unique in the why should we hire you, helped me gain confidence and helped me nail my interview (finally!) and get the job I really wanted. I was not asked why they should hire me, but I knew why and I worked that into my answers. What separated me from my competition? what special thing could I contribute that they may not realize they needed? I made sure I included it briefly in this response! Before that video, I did not see the value in that thing. Your advice really translates well into any industry, vs a lot of other channels that really gear towards sales or tech. I think you really made this intro to me simpler and more genuine. Thank you!
Thanks for the advice. I have a clue now on how to answer that question. I am really learning a lot from your channel and my confidence is also improving. Stay blessed.
Hi Don, just want to thank you for this and other videos, your tips have helped me get the job I really wanted! I was complimented on how I came across in the interview and you were the one that helped me with that.
What I like best about these answers, is how "success" is based upon past "success". Those of us who have failed at just about everything as a result of countless past potential employers believing we were nothing but failures, have succeeded at nothing, and now have nothing notable to talk about...except our 30-40 years of failing to get any relative experiences or "successes" we can use to impress and BS our way through a question we couldn't answer with any degree of optimism or credability if our lives (i.e. "careers") depended upon it. So I just default to "Well, I pretty much have done just what everyone has ever told me to do because nobody ever believed I could do better...so I didn't." :)
Fabulous suggestion the story does not have to be long the employer and HR does not have all day to hear potential employees to listen to - no need to give the full story.
How about separating your videos to interview by fresh graduates vs middle management vs high level management vs change in industry if it makes sense 🙂
Hi Don, Thanks a lot for this video. Did my preparation based on this video and the other videos in the channel and it gave me a lots of confidence and was hired.. Thanks a lot :-)
Thank you very much Don about the content that you upload week by week. I wanted to tell you something important, I tried to activate the bell but popped up that "it doesn't work for content created for kids". I think that you should change something about the settings to let us activate it. Kind regards
interesting. wonder what they are trying to learn from you by asking that question. many times employer ask questions and have no idea why they are asking it.
Hello sir Don. New subscriber here. Thank you sir for sharing me your 10 most interview questions today. I really need it badly for my interview tomorrow. Hope I can make it with your last minute help tips. God bless and continue helping other people. More power to you sir.
What your starting point is when u haven't been working for a long time but that not to say been claiming but rather living on your savings and borrowings and support from spouse ?
I love the response for this question you shared 10 plus years ago. I find it clear & direct with a good example. The updated version hits more on the core of the question like a chronological time line. Would you say that eirther version is effective even though its both positive in a different way? Like always thanks for being the voice & saint 🤝🙏 of job seekers interview.
No offense to Don, but there are many websites with sample interview questions that you should at least look over, so you can be prepared. Interviewers can tell when you are nervous, or when you don't have a good and complete answer to their question. And sometimes, taking too long to think about an answer works against you! The ability to think completely and spontaneously can really help you beat out the other applicants and get that job.
I was asked a question about vagueness in any job situation and how I resolved the vague issue. I think I stumbled on that one. Can you provide a good answer?
sadly this is one question that i not only dread, but see NO USE for in an interview... sorry if that tilts your expectations of what should be, but there it is... honestly, maybe its my unique history that makes this a difficult question... and i would love to be able to just say either "No Comment" or "That's Classified".... hell even my own memory makes answering this question a pain...

Hey Don, how do you answer that question if you’ve been retired 8 years from your career but want to interview for a biotech laboratory company because 40 years ago you operated an environmental laboratory. That’s my conundrum. Although my career was somewhat different, I was able to carry over skills and methodologies from the lab job that were beneficial in my career.
Hey again, love your videos. I got an interview monday. First job in my machinist career after studying it in school. Pays 17-21 in the company I am going to interview for and they plan on training me and teaching me a lot. Should I even attempt to negotiate if they offer 17, its a 35min ride and I keep telling myself the training is a value in itself but I know if i got the job and really liked it there then i would be stuck at 17 an hour with a difficult time to increase my salary. I know I can sell myself well and I pick up on things so quick , just dont see my worth to the company being at 17. I want a reason to ground myself in the company for the long haul and not plan on leaving for a higher paying job.
I will appreciate this way of planning you must need to make separate video for a Freshers candidate it's hard to from video where you are gone start for professional men nowadays a lot of choices we don't have time to find relavant things from spred data .. anyways keep growing
Ever watch pro wrestler Ric Flair's promo about Buddy Landel? Yeah that's how I will answer that question. I will definitely mention intensified beef products. As a hiring manager I will hire anyone who answers that question like a prowrestler.
Thanks Don for the interviewing technics you have produced on your videos and the 10 step download as well. To my benefit I got the job.I was excited to do this where I have struggled before. I like how you emphasise to answer questions based on ourselves, instead of following template. It sure is more natural.

Wow, thank you
Me too, I'm not native speaker also, I'm Chinese.
Prepping two versions is perfect. You really need an elevator version and a lobby version of your career story.
Right on
This is definitely the most important question anyone should prepare for. It will 99% of the time be asked and it will setup the tone of the rest of the interview. If this answer is sloppy, the rest of the interview will be bumpy.

I usually respond with " Im a scorpio, and I enjoy long walks on the beach". Works everytime.
i'm a scorpion and I'll sting ya if you dont gimme the fukin job, -works for me
Frankly speaking, your advices gave me a great opportunity to succeed my job interview.
Good down to earth teacher. I got a few days for a panel interview. Glad to have videos like this!
One of my worst questions. Glad I stumbled on this video
Thanks for the advice. I have a clue now on how to answer that question. I am really learning a lot from your channel and my confidence is also improving. Stay blessed.
Even though I’ve had my interview I’m still watching!
YOU ARE THE BEST🥰🥰Have an interview coming up and am watching your videos and hoping to get hired🙏🙏🙏
Hi Don, just want to thank you for this and other videos, your tips have helped me get the job I really wanted! I was complimented on how I came across in the interview and you were the one that helped me with that.

Watching from Philippines. Preparing to move another company for a new Job. . Impressive teaching.

I think you used to bowl in Cleveland somewhere back in the old days early 90s either brookgate west 130th or Brookgate. Or Fairview Park
Awesome Video… One time I got asked What state would you eliminate and why? Another question was Who do admire the most and why?
interesting. wonder what they are trying to learn from you by asking that question. many times employer ask questions and have no idea why they are asking it.

I was asked a question about vagueness in any job situation and how I resolved the vague issue. I think I stumbled on that one. Can you provide a good answer?
Long story short sir, I worked at Nasa in Cleveland, Ohio. I helped develop all those UFO's people are seeing.
sadly this is one question that i not only dread, but see NO USE for in an interview... sorry if that tilts your expectations of what should be, but there it is... honestly, maybe its my unique history that makes this a difficult question... and i would love to be able to just say either "No Comment" or "That's Classified".... hell even my own memory makes answering this question a pain...
Tremendous and thank you.
Glad you enjoyed it!
