So, I have my team interview day after tomorrow. It is of 4 hr with 9 people. Manager told me I have solid resume. I am in OPT 90 days countdown and I really need this job. Just because I need this job so much, I found myself nervous. Now after watching this vdo, I am pumped up! I am going to keep up my confidence and get that job! Thank you for your amazing video!
Don, your videos are so great that even after getting the job I was dreaming of, continued watching you. I am sure, without your help I could not have been able to nail the interview! Take care!
Got through the recruiter call end of last week and then the email for final interview on Monday. My interview is tomorrow at 11:30. I've got two long pages of notes and other things from several of your videos. Wish me luck! I'll keep ya posted!
Confidence is always what I struggle when I am having an interview but I feel like it's easier if I just stay honest with my personality and answer the questions the best way I could
Speech & Communication skills ; plus years talking to a diversity of people in classrooms, scheduling programs, company meetings, radio announcing, and knowing yourself more important knowing about the company helps the interviewer to present themselves as positive & confident for the position.
Your videos are incredible! I've studied your videos and applied them to a current job I applied for. I'm currently in the 3rd wave of interviews. Thank you!!
Hello Don, thank you for sharing your wisdom and insight on job interviews skills. Your videos inspired me and gave me the confidence to land a great job. Keep up with this great work you share.
DON! I hope you read this. I recently applied for an internal job I was certain I wouldn't get. I am historically terrible at interviews and hadn't done one for many years. I found your channel, watched as many of your videos as possible and followed them all step by step as far as I could. Thanks to you I have finally understood how to do interviews and to not let terror take over. Two interviews later and today I was offered the job with such glowing feedback. I'm actually shocked. I can't thank you enough for sharing your tools. They almost exclusively helped me achieve this. I feel confident about my skills now. :)
Hi Don, I'd like to thank you for your videos. I recently got unemployed and I've just received a confirmation I'm hired for a big Tech Company, with an amazing job, salary and a package of benefits that would envy anyone. The tips you give are for real, so if you want a testimonial video I'd be glad to provide. I've followed all the tips and, guess what, THEY WORKED! You're a genious and a fantastic guy! Thank you again! Jorge, from Brazil.
I am actively searching for another job although I am employed the environment where i work is so toxic I need to leave. Thanks to your videos my confidence has gone from 10 to 100 when searching for these jobs. I have been to second interviews recently and when I learn more about the company turns out they are not the right fit for me. what a change of dynamic I want to make sure they are right for me as I should be right for them. This time i am looking out for me too so i avoid falling for the same trap as I did with my current employer.
thanks Don, some great tips ! Interestingly, when I had a Zoom interview a few months ago, I had no nervousness, which is the complete opposite to my usual in person interviews....however it may have also had something to do with being interviewed by the tech people I'd be working with, and didn't get any BS questions like "why do you want to work here ?" etc
I always show up early enough to take a look around the area. I always walk into the reception area at least 10 minutes early. I do envision myself in the position, as you say, and I use breathing techniques to relax. Great video
Hi Don, thanks for the advice. I feel I flunked the second job interviews I’ve been sitting in because self confidence, or lack thereof, is my biggest flaw.
Thank you Don! You are one of the best at what you do and I am confident coming to your videos knowing that I will get the help I need. :) Thank you!! :)
Thanks a lot dear friend Don Georgevich for posting such a insightful video podcast.. All of your video podcasts has been highly beneficial to all of us, job seekers.
Thank you Don this is great lesson. My daughter has interview coming up and I just flowered your video to her. Keep those videos coming please I watch them all the time thank you!!
It's true, I was so nervous and desperate for the job, I started rambling and couldn't think before talking. I wasn't normal self. Didn't get the job. =(
The only way to overcome this fear of interview interaction that to put your self in the position that u apply for and try to act like I'm the one u looking for I remember my first panel interview was horrible because I tried to relay on memory so my brain jammed and stick to specific details
All these steps are excellent tips!.. But, how does a person get around or adjust to a "web interview", where in some cases the interviewer can see you but you can't see them?... It's like conversing with a machine!..
Hi Don, you know when you say answers should be short what if the employer thinks I am too quiet, shy, lacks knowledge and trying to hide info with my short answers??? I feel like I need to talk longer on some questions.
I tell my clients to visualize their "happy place" or think of their favorite childhood memory so they can feel relaxed despite the pressure of an interview. This should help you feel calm and collected before starting the interview. Give it a try!
I have a question I work in the same town I live in. I found other jobs I think I would love but they are 30-40 minutes away. Is that a bad idea? How far is to far for a job?
For me- my max has been 45 minutes max on the road each way... But each person is different. I did the 45 minute each commute for 10 years, now I'm 100% remote & love it.
I've never had a problem with that...I go in because im looking for something that THEY advertised. I represent myself accordingly...if they dont like it oh well.
Suck at interviews. 9 in the last 45 days but still no positive outcome. Does this generic techniques and tools work for Big Data companies and Most especially Sales jobs? I need help, I’m losing my confidence and it’s rubbing off on my daily life.
You have to be careful. I was once told I came off as arrogant in an interview. I don't know how that happened but take it as a piece of advice. You can be TOO self confident!
@@DonGeorgevich you are just a guy who is highly intelligent and always knows what to say. AKA a god. Your content is incredibly helpful. Thank you so much. You are a star.
Mostly useless advice here. If you want to do well on an interview, learn all you can about the company and specifically what the hiring manager's pain points are. Then have an honest conversation about how you can help address those pain points. Honesty is the key. Otherwise you could end up talking yourself out of a good job, or worse, talking yourself into a bad job. This mumbo jumbo about imagining you already have the job won't help. If nervousness is the issue, just breath and remember that you're just talking to a person. No different from any other person.

I love the idea of treating an interview as though one is a consultant. Great tip, keep up the great work.
I’m not presently looking to change jobs, but I just wanted to let you know I appreciate your videos and enjoy them very much! 😎👍

Just think you're interviewer is already your co worker, what a technique. Why haven't i thought of that before.
Hello Don. Your voice, tone, speed of delivery and knowledge is fantastic.
So nice of you

I hardly see myself twisting my spine in an interview 🤔🙃
Other than that, Wonderful content!
Thanks for your channel 😎

then do that. these are just guidelines.

Glad you enjoyed it
Talking to them an exchanging ideas.

Practicing confidence tricks to appear more confident...yeah, that'll work.
