    Questions to ask
    1. What is the average hike ?
    2. Is there a joining bonus ?
    3. Will I be included in the current salary appraisal?
    4. How does the company reward the top performer/ extra effort?
    5. Do they offer medical insurance for dependents?
    6. what kind of project will you be working on? (is it something that will challenge/ help me grow)

100% chances, why they will lie to you unless it's a fraud. But yes they might deny or play in accordance with their terms and conditions which you need to check carefully.

I forgot. Point number 6 is really important guys. I had the experience of joining a company only for the international experience and I didn't grow. The contrary, I was doing repetitive tasks, in a world where technology disrupts so quick. Be aware of that, joining a company where you are happy with the project and the tasks.

Mam, this is a really very useful video for Indian employees because we never dare to ask these questions, and sometimes get scared to ask these for fear of losing the opportunity. But I also have a doubt that what is the right time/situation to ask about these negotiation points. I mean during the 1st/2nd... last round of interviews or while negotiating the CTC etc. Please clear the doubt.

These tips are for average performers (middle 20 to 80). Especially top 10 or 5 performers, ask your what you want CTC and benefits and every line item you (or Google) can think of. If you have the caliber you can put in your demands. High Risk High Reward (don’t lie about your skills).

Good day, ma'am. This video is extremely informative. I had some doubts; it would be greatly appreciated if you could just clear up them. So, I received an offer letter from a company a day ago, and as they stated, the salary during the probation period would be less than the actual salary, but they are not disclosing their package as well. I spoke with the recruiting firm, but they told me not to discuss these issues with the company during the probationary period. Even though I'm a fresher in this industry, I am confident that I can perform my roles and responsibilities flawlessly. Please assist!

Ma'am, what if a company does not give any feedback on our performance in written. Like we fill appraisal form and submit and company convey the peefirmance rating with apprqisal percentage in appraisal letter only. They don't give any feedback, where we lacks and could do better. Whom to ask for feedback for knowing the reason for lesser percentage of appraisal.
One more thing ma'am as you were HR in many companies, what could be the maximum %percentage increase through appraisam without any promotion

    • @theCorporateDiaries

Dear, if nothing is given in written, then ask time to time from your manager verbally or of you share a good relation then you can even ask over an email, so that you have a written proof.
The max hike I have seen is even more than 100%, basis how crucial that person is for the project.

Dear Roshan, its not new, 12 years back when I graduated from Btech, it was same story with many mass recruiters, here is the story..
      1. Company's make offer basis the future projection of the projects, sometimes those projects never come or get delayed, offers are revoked/delayed basis these.
      2. Recruitment teams usually have higher attrition rate, people switch frequently and sometimes they are on contract.. so its very common to see new names every time

You can speak to your Manager, as he is the person who will give you the hike, HR will only execute it.. and if you have not negotiated anything at the time of joining(like - you happily accepted the offer and there was no sign of negotiating more), the wait for some time and then talk, but if you did negotiate and they did not agree then now you can discuss that "you are open for an evaluation in next 3-4 months and basis that they can give you a salary revision" and you from your end put 100% in your scope of work

I asked about hike and they said it will depend upon company status and your performance I didn't get a number. I just got my offer letter and can I reduce variable pay to 5% from 10% ?

Hi mam, really like your videos. These are very important videos to consider before joining a new company. I have a doubt. I have got an offer from a MNC where in they have informed me to join in 30 days, however i have 60 days of Notice period. So i informed the new company to revise the offer letter date but the recruiter informed me to share the acceptance of the resignation first and then the offer letter will be revised with new joining date. So does it happen or is it risky ?

Hi Arjun, it's not risky. The recruiter needs proof of resignation acceptance to release/revise the offer letter. Revising an offer letter takes a lot more effort, lyk recruiter needs the approval from the management to change the DOJ and start preparing the offer again. So better share the resignation acceptance letter with the recruiter if you're really willing to join that company.
