It must be tough for a police officer to do a field sobriety test on someone he knows, especially when he realizes how drunk she is driving around children in a school zone to pick up her own child.
I've seen police call in someone else to do them like the state police or a neighbouring police department so they don't have to do it themselves. Of course it's not always possible, especially as this seems like a small town but it must be very hard for the officers.

The fact that she knows she's going to lose her children and is terrified someone driving by may see her, means that this isn't the first time this has happened. Awful.
I'm not 100% convinced of that. I'm pretty sure she's got problems, but she said her husband is going to take her kids not the state. They all seem to know each other and blatantly asking them to turn they're cameras off isn't good lol but I can't tell if she's a real dirtbag or not...

If I remember correctly, she's in the middle of a divorce with her husband who's a cop, & I believe part of the reason is because she's an alcoholic. Her saying "I'll commit THIS TIME" shows how bad off she truly is!
I was wondering why they all knew her, and she was demanding all of that special treatment. She really just wanted them to ignore that she was driving drunk with her kid and turn off their caneras.
Thanks. I was wondering why they seemed so familiar with her.

Asking the officer over and over to put his career and pension on the line is absolutely pathetic!

@@capitolcee Yes someone has! and I still find it pathetic.
@@deborahallen3318 it is pathetic. Don't drink and drive, don't get arrested. The cop isn't the important part in the equation. You don't go into a restaurant and ask the Chef to stop cooking because you're on a diet.

This is very likely not the first time she picked up her kid drunk.
Before this video, she drove from the scene where she was speeding, then came back with her kid. Argued some more and threatened to drive away again. HER CHILD is the one who turned off the ignition and put the car in Park. That's messed up.

73 outside of a school is absolutey insane. She wouldn't be able to see a child, let alone avoid hitting them at that speed. She risked every parents child who goes to that school as well as her own. I work at a school a child was waiting gor her ride when mom showed up she was clearly under the influence, the secretary told her she couldnt release the child to her but will to the grandmother if she was the one driving. Instead of choosing that option the mom decided to put her hands on our secretary the police were called and she was arrested. People really know how to make a bad situation worse!
Who is to blame for the embarrassment??? All Amber had to do was not be under the influence while driving. She is worried about losing her children after the fact. Zero sympathy considering she was willing to put her child and everyone else on the road at risk.
Praying she sobers up for her family and this was her rock bottom. You gotta do better momma, those girls need you.
You are absolutely right. Unfortunately, her begging and trying to blame the officers for her consequences shows she probably did not take this lesson in stride. I'd bet money that she spiraled.

It must be tough for a police officer to do a field sobriety test on someone he knows, especially when he realizes how drunk she is driving around children in a school zone to pick up her own child.
I think it's even tougher on police when they see those same children getting killed when a drunk driver crashes. - j q t -
