Bodycam footage shows police confronting an Oklahoma woman in a Walmart parking lot after she allegedly threatened to shoot a co-worker in November. The Tulsa Police Department said Adrienne Edwards was sitting inside her car with a loaded gun when officers arrived. Edwards then admitted to making the threat after a supervisor reprimanded her for being "mouthy." She faces one charge of threatening a violent act. It was not reported whether Edwards lost her job at the supercenter.

Why does the PoPo need your social security number for a written statement? No way Jose......
So let me get this straight she has anxiety and anger issues and a learning disability but has a loaded firearm in her car? She is far too emotionally immature to own a gun.....but the cop that spent so much time with her was the best...she needed to hear everything he had to say. I wish her the best though.
She obviously has had past security safety issues. Either her or someone close to her.
That is actually a question on a gun application or permit. If you have any mental disorders or issues. She apparently lied ,that is if she legally owned the gun. The gun should be taken away from her at this point.
@@RebeccaGreen-jt3qk Oh yeah there are safety reasons why crazy people can't have guns, but somehow they still get them and permits. But like you said let's just hope they never give it back to her or it might be worse next time.
It's the USA. Literally the only thing stopping someone from acquiring a gun is whether or not they want one
@@MANTARD LOL! Nailed it.
I am starting to think anger management should be taught in schools.
Anger management rarely manages any anger.
Parents need to do a better job teaching their children to deal with big emotions. Otherwise we end up with adults like this 😬
Unfortunately, in this day and age, I think you're right. Kids are obviously not being taught respect for authority, or self control and accountability, or the difference between right and wrong at home.
They did at my school on Tuesdays. It was an alternative school at a community center. Year 2006 NYS
100%. They need to teach actual life skills in school. They're teaching too many pointless things as of current.
This officer sitting in the patrol car talking to her deserves an award for his outstanding patience, compassion and supportive advice. I hope this woman listens to him and gets help.
She needs support at work but not too sure about the two in that office. I am sure mom and dad aren't going to be happy she lost her job.
As I’m watching this video, I was looking for this comment because I am so impressed at how he is handling this situation with her
@@Iseethelightningor lost it in THIS manner as well. I mean that's definitely one way to lose a job for sure.
This cop should be a therapist -- what an excellent cop! He was so patient and talked to her like she needed to hear.

He spoke to her on her level... like a 4 year old.

I agree. It's pretty obvious this woman needs some supports she isn't getting.

A fine example of who should NOT own a firearm, tazer, or mace for that matter. Silly string is iffy at this point

Everyone should be able to own a firearm. STFU and read the constitution

Yeah the officer had to act like his IQ was room temperature to be at her level
It's disheartening that police have to do what these people's parents should have done. Those squad cars should read "To protect, serve and babysit"
I don’t think I’ve ever seen a more professional genuine and compassionate police officer. Kudos!
I agree 100% and I am usually completely negative regarding LEOs (I've seen some awful treatment of my neighbors, more than once and I follow the news).

For all yall naysayers concerning all-police, you’re still gonna call 911 when you’re stuck….😒 “None” and “All” is simply a dangerous outlook for any mass.
"so i lost my job then!?"
Lady you already lost your job whether they arrested you or not. If they called the cops on you over threats of violence there is zero chance you are keeping your job, unless some extraordinary evidence determines it never happened.
She has a learning disability or perhaps something else we don't know. She's going to say or do things that may be odd, and i'll admit I said "WHAT?!" when she said that, but then I realized of her reality. You don't need to highlight it in the comment section, it should be expected.
@@MastersReMASTER- Seriously? Lots of people with learning disabilities have no problem killing people. Yes, her job is DEFINITELY gone. Having a learning disability is NOT an excuse for making threats, ESPECIALLY when she actually has a gun with her (which she clearly had no problem acquiring)!!!!!
Most learning disabilities (ones that aren't extreme) don't prevent people from working, managing their anger properly, and owning their own business. I know someone with a learning disability who's a millionaire. He ran his own businesses after saving money from working, and raising a family.
It's only a real impediment, in cases like this, if you choose it to be (except in extreme instances where people can't live on their own). You may have to take longer, or work around something. But a nondescript learning disability won't prevent her from managing her emotions properly, but she needs to work at it. Otherwise, she should NOT own a gun. And no doctor is just going to say "a learning disability," so I wouldn't blindly trust her on that either.
My half brother has learning disabilities, but it shouldn't have stopped him from anything if his mother didn't drill the opposite into his head!
@@wvrjl Then I don’t think you truly understand how people with disabilities manages their frustrations. Secondly pipe down and don’t lecture me.
Right?! The fact that she was unable to comprehend that Walmart could NOT continue to employ her after she threatened to shoot people speaks to her lack of emotional intelligence.
It's very sad, really.
@@wvrjlI work with adults with disabilities and the police will not arrest or charge them most of the time. I even take one to work and she is very very violent. She does not live alone though it’s a reshab situation. This lady may be in a similar group home setting
As unbalanced as she appears, that police intervention probably saved her from a possible murder charge - In addition I hope she's not allowed to have this gun returned...
Threatening a violent act is a felony charge, she'll lose her gun rights if convicted.

No, you don't want to drive when you're angry. And you *DEFINITELY* don't want to have a gun when you're angry either! 😳
That’s why she said she was sitting in her car. I just wonder…
Sitting in her car for a whole hour…
She finished special ed in high school got the diploma at her house. She has stated that she has a learning disability. She should not be allowed her guns back nor be permitted to own any weapons or be allowed to be out in Public alone. She should also take advantage of VR and they will assign her a Job Coach.
Also definitely do not smoke a cigarette and drive.

They gave her a job in the middle of the night with no people around and she still managed to do this..
The officer in the car with her was so nice to her
He actually seemed to care about her and her mental state.
And she thrived on it. She's self centered to say the least
I thought the same. I wouldn’t say self centered. She doesn’t have that type of awareness. She has no self esteem. So having somebody tell her good job you graduated from high is a big deal.
😂😂😂yea ok it's all fake and a act for one there just playing the game and two she said the cuff was to tight and on and all the pressure on her blood vessel he said yea and just kept going on with the questions he wants 😂😂😂no matter if she is lying or not a good cop would at least check that's why you see them videos where they die in there custody because they of ignored and didn't do what there supposed to do not just ignore it and think everybody is lying sure a lot of them are but that's there job no matter what
Never in my life seen a criminal get to ride front seat
Yeah thank god she was arrested and put in Jail… when you have a mentally unstable person like this, threatening to shoot their co-workers and then you find out they have a gun in their car, AND was just sitting in their car outside the store for an hour after their shift ended… with their gun, when they just threatened to shoot their co-workers. Yeah, I think this loony was seriously working on the courage to go in there and shoot up the place and all their co-workers they hate. Thank god they actually pressed charges, this is the type of red flag behaviour that you see when you look back AFTER another mass shooting has occurred. This lady needs serious mental help, she’s disturbed.
In 1999 one of big brothers did that, he had enough of his boss and one of his coworkers and he shot them point blank range in the head then called the news station before turning himself in, he wanted to tell his story on the news first, but he is in the mental hospital since then , mental illness is real , take these threats seriously people 😢 2 people have been dead since 1999 because of it , and our brother has been locked up in the mental hospital 🏥 also since then
I don’t think we have heard the last of her ☹️
Just your regular karen
She needs a diet too😂
Yeah that's really scary! When I was in high-school, my principle came to me while I was in P.E. after lunch and said that during lunch this kid (I know who he was. He was this new kid from down south and I lived in a small town in Alaska, so he was new here.) was heard bragging to some kids that he'd brought a gun to shoot my best friend and I. I had to get sent home for my safety. I'm not sure what all happened with him. It was a really scary thing to find out.
This officer is a gem! Patient, kind, caring, empathic.. she went from angry and defensive to.. "do you want my wallet?" when they got her to the jail.
if I acted similar I would have got sent to judge Judy.
The officer was very kind. The compassion he showed her was commendable. This woman needs a friend, a therapist and appropriate treatment and tools.
So you think threatening your fellow employees with violence means you’re going to keep your job. Some people don’t think before they do something.
The thing is...people threaten coworkers at wal mart all the time...and depending on how in you are with management they get away with it
some people think before they do stuff too but theyre brains just dont work lol
She has a learning disability. Which unfortunately comes with comprehension issues sometimes too.
My workplace, there was an employee who threatened me. After I reported to higher ups and HR ended up getting involved she confronted me saying that I was going too far with it all and she didn't want to lose her job. Turns out, she was used to getting away with it from her previous workplaces.
@@laurenc4085 this is why workplace threats should not be taken lightly. Some people are nukin futs
Someone who has anger issues should never have a firearm
Or mentally challenged!
heck no 2A all the way!
Basically all of us.
People with poor impulse control in general shouldn't. Like the cops who can't control themselves and curse during an arrest.
everyone has anger issues at some time or another. When you buy a firearm, there are questions you have to answer. If you qualify, you are entitled to own a firearm under the second amendment. We don't know how this would have played out. I'm not excusing what she said, but it's a slippery slope denying 2A rights
That cop did a masterly job communicating with her in the car. He stayed calm and managed to keep her calm, treated her with respect, got the information he needed.
Shuts police car door** “we don’t have to worry about her jumping over the center” 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
AHAHAH STOP I DIDNT NOTICE THIS UNTIL I READ THIS
Lol omg I totally missed the “we don’t have to…” part and was kinda confused but now it makes so much more sense ahah, derp 🤦♀️

Not an insult. Facts.
This lady is not 36 omg. And you threatened to shoot up co workers, wait in the lot an hour after your shift, and have a gun.
a sheltered 36 year old child who's mother never made them grow up. If you want to use the learn disability for any justification then don't tell me she should of had a gun.
Poor diet, no exercise, poor parenting, and limited education creates plenty of 36 year olds like this

What an incredible, wonderful officer. He was so respectful to that lady and gave her great advice about her anger issues. Big kudos officer! A credit to his profession! I hope that lady takes his advice and seeks help for her issues.
Yes, I agree. As I sat here listening, I thought, "wow, that's what every officer should aspire to be".
😂 that doesn't make one incredible. It's an ordinary thing to do. Some of you are drama queens
Well, I don’t know what is “drama queen “ about saying something very nice about a good policeman. I am an old woman and I see nothing wrong with what I said. My age group (past 70) never learned Drama Queen ! @@davidsuch8942
@@davidsuch8942by praising the officer for being respectful? How is that being a "drama queen?"
@@davidsuch8942 absolutely does. How many officers do you see actually taking the time to talk to the perps, ask them about their lives, take interest in them, give them advice and counsel them? That would be maybe 1-5% if that many. This officer absolutely deserves props and it has nothing to do with being a drama queen.
THIS is why I’m ALWAYS nice, and always let the small stuff go! You NEVER know what ppl are going through, personally. It pays to be kind! I pray that this woman was able to get the counseling and anger management that she needs.
Either she doesn’t understand or she doesn’t care because instead of her realizing what she did and asking for help. She asked the cop if she would get her guns back when she was released. She should not be allowed to own firearms and I hope that they don’t get returned to her
my favorite part of the video is when she says she needs to sit down in the car before she pops off on someone and the officer was like.. say what!?
I think she has some cognitive disabilities but she has actually tried to self regulate. Notice how she first admitted that she was trying to release frustration to prevent behavior. So she knows she's getting angry and she's trying to stave it off. See how she doesn't understand that she made a threat. I feel bad for her but management has to take her comments seriously. Listening to the comments, it's not technically a threat, she was explaining why she yells. But the fact that she has firearms didn't help. Walmart doesn't want the liability.
Wow! She looks much older than 36. I thought she was 55+
Exactly lol
I thought she was 25, she acts so young and entitled.

This woman clearly has mental issues and saying like this to a fellow employee is to be taken very seriously. And she actually has a gun in the car. Even worse
Everything you said is 100% accurate. She's obviously emotionally unstable, but regardless of her mental health situation, she's an adult and she knows right from wrong. You can't threaten to shoot people, ESPECIALLY when you have a gun in your vehicle.
I wonder why her own sister, who would be very aware of her anger issues, sold her that gun? Seems like it was new. Like she bought it for her. Makes me wonder if she is legally allowed to own a firearm. She did say she has learning disabilities. I don't know if that counts as not being allowed to own a firearm but it should be. It's suspicious and worrying that her sister bought that gun for her. Why didn't she just buy her own gun? She said it was on sale and was new and all that. Why did her sister not see the risk?
She was 100% waiting for the person to get off work.
And in parking lot almost hour after her shift
@Yosetime wow that's some liberal thinking oh got dyslexia sorry can't own a gun 😂
These officers are top tier. Very respectful, understanding to who they were dealing with
The officer that transported her was so patient and respectful of this lady. Also, I would never want to work for Walmart

@@cynergy7985 but strictly on the technicality of what the caller reported she said “I had to scream or I’d have to shoot him” isn’t a direct threat…

I have a feeling it’s been a long time since she has been nice to anyone. The entitlement you and she believes she deserves is beyond belief.

@@ShawnNSteph61022 correct. I get where she is coming from though. Wal-Mart does treat their employees like dogs. I've heard many threaten under their breath, she just did it too loudly. She also has a choice, hopefully depending on town, to find employment else where.
I would be worried about her behavior after she is set free; no more job, fuming even more about the people she feels caused her getting fired, and the subsequent destination of the gun could likely be her pocket.

And skipping cardio
And shaped like a pear
Law enforcement handled this situation very well. I like how it was explained to her. Officer's were amazing in this video. ❤ I hope she does get help.
Very scary situation and this cop in the car is a GREAT officer.
I don't think she will be working at Walmart again anytime soon.
Most likely bullied most of her life.
Now she is dishing it out. The cycle continues.
She doesn't seem very bright I don't think she should be armed.
@@vsackk I was trying to be polite but, We all know she was on the Short Buss.
She is actually disabled, life isn't fair indeed. Hard for ones like this 😢
She said she’s got a learning disability (that’s why she didn’t go into the military), and she finished high school with special ed.
She is developmentally delayed.
@@coffeechatsandwalks3976
So? I went to a highschool for kids with behavioral problems. Atleast half of the kids there were disabled, and the most intellectually disabled boy would threaten to r@pe me on a regular basis. Intellectual disability is no excuse for behavior like this.
People like her have no business owning a gun, especially.
well, now you're fired.
What a nice officer he is! I think he has a lot of compassion.
cops have to hand in their badge and gun whereas she has to hand in her badge and discount card 😂
The name badge is how employees clock in and clock out. The discount card and the badge will be deactivated when she's terminated so she really doesn't have to turn them in. Sometimes swiping the name badge is how employees find out that they've been fired a message pops up on the screen that says see manager. But I guess in this case getting arrested at work is a clear indication that she no longer has a job .
She had to turn in her gun badge and discount card 😂
she thought she still had a job she still didnt get that it was wrong because she didnt mean it
😂
And work phone 😆 lol.
Cop deserves a citation for his humanity.
Like a ticket for being too nice?
😂@@CrippledMerc
@@CrippledMercI’m dying 😂😂
What is there, like 8 cops to stand around basicallly doing nothing?
The arresting officer was absolutely incredible in his professionalism in how he handled this woman. His advice and overall caring attitude is exactly how I wish every police officer was. He knows how to diffuse a situation and at the same time make the woman relax and act calm and she is a very angry woman! She's so angry I heard her boss say she gets talked to everyday for yelling at employees. She needs therapy and probably medication to help her. Anyways, I just wanted to give a pat on the back for an officer who clearly deserves an A+ for his work😁
Poor lady. I hope she gets some therapy for her emotional issues.
Officer: "She doesn't look like someone who is going to come in and shoot...." I mean....really??
If you were crazy and heard that you would stay calm. You wouldn't feel judged. If they said the opposite ww3 might have happened.
Which would you prefer?
He didn’t say that to the woman threatening though, he said that to the two employees she’s threatened. So instead it sounds like he doesn’t believe THEM. She was no where near them at the time, so there wasn’t a need to keep her calm
Every person in the world has “anxiety”. It does not excuse bad behavior.
They sure use it as a crutch, don't they?
Having had anxiety at some point in your life and having an anxiety disorder are very different things.
@@Decadent_Descent- I have anxiety problems, major depression, serious chronic pain for most of my life (2 slipped discs), SERIOUS trauma / PTSD, Anomic Aphasia, end-stage renal failure, dialysis (and more), I'm ABSOLUTELY BROKE, no local family doctor (she's THREE fricken hours away), and IT STILL does NOT excuse this behaviour!
Nearly everyone experiences anxiety at some point in their life. Very few people have diagnosed or diagnosable anxiety disorders.
It doesn't excuse threatening to kill someone.
@@wvrjl". . .and IT STILL does NOT excuse this behaviour!"
I don't remember anyone ever saying it did.
She was explaining that she yells when angry or frustrated rather than use physical violence, but, used an unfortunate choice of words. She needs to get that anger under control or someday she may grab the gun during an outburst.
This is why unfettered gun ownership is a problem, there are too many angry people out there. Just look at the number of road rage incidents and neighbour disputes where a person pulls a gun. Not too long ago, two men shot each other's daughters during a road rage conflict.
I'm glad to see at least a small handful of people in the comments were actually able to listen to what the witness said. Probably family members shouldn't use their military discount to buy their learning impaired relative a firearm
She really thought that she could come back on Monday. 😂
"I haven't done anything...but I said it out of frustration." Hmmm....
“So what did you say then?”
“Uhhh I didn’t say anything…I was just frustrated!!”
😮😮😮😮😂
Then tells the cop she has anger issues… oh boy. Got a live one!
People who can't control their emotions should not own weapons.
That is what i been trying to say about the Lunatic Left!
The witnesses said that she said “I yell at people so I don’t pop off on them” doesn’t sound like she actually threatened anything
Uhhh?😂15:08
that's right! yet all these people in the video couldn't simply listen
That officer explained the situation to her very well. Hopefully she Gets the help she needs.
I don't understand why the male officer would even say that she doesn't look like the type of person who would go in and shoot the place up. What exactly do they look like!? It could be anyone of any age. You never know what mental health issues people have or what is going on inside their brain. She should Never get her gun back, especially after threatening to use it, and because she has mental health issues. By law, they cannot own firearms.
Probably, and this is just a guess, from experience. You know, that thing people have from years of exposure to the public.
I think he was just trying to show her some kindness and 'maybe' she will listen to him and go get help. I think he is using psychology on her. I do that with people by saying something nice, then telling them the truth which 'may' hurt or offend them.
its Oklahoma - they all look crazy, he doesnt have a sane person to compare
She looks EXACTLY the type if there ever was a type…🙄🙄🙄
Cause if a group of co workers dont like someone, they get together, make up a lie, falsely accuse and get that person fired. Happens all the time.
She trying to “win over”, 😂😂😂😂the policeman with small talk???? Forget it woman!!!😢
Actually a great officer, validated her feelings which in turn calmed her down gave her solid advice.
I initially felt bad for this ex employee as big corporations DON'T care about their employees, they only care about making money off of them.
Her attitude by the way was way too inappropriate. You just CAN'T go around threatening people to shoot them.
The police were beyond polite and kind with her. She needs to be appreciative as it could have been a lot worse for her.
She wouldn't get the gun back if this is a felony and she is convicted, correct? She doesn't need it back either way.
its Oklahoma it didnt sound like background checks are a thing
Correct, felons cannot have or be around firearms. They’ll more than likely keep it then auction it at the police auction events.
@@gjh9299background checks are required everywhere in the u.s that doesn't matter though her sister bought it for her or sold it to her however you wanna look at it which is also illegal literally everywhere
Omg, the police officer 👮 actually spoke to her about some life lessons, what to do and what to never do in life. He talked to her and gave her some counseling. He seemed to somewhat get through to her. Outstanding.
"I'm not too worried about her jumping over the center" 😂😂
that’s a ROUGH 36…..😱😱😱
You have polyester hair, and can't even open your eyes.
Maybe they switched the numbers around. I think she is 63.
You look like a blow up doll with noodles glued to your head
@@davidsuch8942
Really? That's all you got? She has polyester hair and "can't open her eyes" lmao okay. She's gorgeous.
And this woman, objectively, looks far older than 36.
@@MissSpaz and, yeah if you need polyester on your head to feel feminine, and you're not a cancer patient, you're pathetic.
This is a great officer for keeping a calm friendly demeanor and explaining things in detail.
What an awesome officer, that is probably the most gentle, honest and dignified treatment from an officer to a person who obviously has some issues with appropriate communication and interaction techniques and difficulty managing her anger, he saved her life that day, and i hope she sees this and learns from it, and that she is doing better.
