I love Shepherds. They put themselves in mortal danger to protect their own. They are so beautiful and majestic. I wish I could have one but I figure maybe next life. I'm 75 and have physical disabilities. It wouldn't be fair to have a big dog that needs daily exercise. But I sure enjoy watching the canine police officers who so eagerly jump out of the squad to work. Marvelous!

Serving warrants are one of the most dangerous a friend of mine was Shia and killed doing that RIP Deputy Kip Sak
We just had a police officer murdered here a couple of days ago while serving a warrant. The guy just open fired on the police killing one and injuring two others. And less than a year ago we had a female officer stabbed to death while assisting a parks employee in telling a guy that he had to move his tent. People like to refer to them (addicts) as our most vulnerable, while I think the vulnerable are the police and anyone that has to interact with them. And sometimes you don’t even have to interact with them, you just have to be in their vicinity.
I’m so sorry for your loss. I just read that he was killed serving a warrant for something so trivial as cutting the grass, and was shot in the back. I’m sure police officers come to terms with the fact that they may die doing their job, but they probably never expect it would be over something so minor.
