What he said about America, was said out of pure shock. When a person is put in the position to have to take someones life, they sometimes say thing that dont make much sense. The reporter made it seem as if he was being sketchy somehow, and that rubbed me the wrong way. That man was hurt, confused, worried amongst many other things. He did nothing wrong, he was very polite and was trying very hard to help that woman. She escalated that situation and unfortunately lost her life, that officer did what he had to do.

He just help a soul take their own life. This could have been prevented at many level. First, who in their right mind would approach a park vehicle in the wrong way; without having to wait for back-ups. Once he spoke to the SUV driver, obviously the woman is delusional and in distressed. That should have been a red flag of sensing a danger of something is wrong. Once he saw a firearm, he immidiately panic and beat feet to the rear of the SUV. He exactly knew where his rounds trajectery would be heading. He immidiately used the rear of the SUV for his own safety, not the Jeep's driver or anybody downrange from him. He didn't want to get hit by incoming cars both direction of traffic. Last resorts, he could have attemted to disarmed the woman at arms reach, but he chose to get an ample amount of distance for engagement of shooting her.

Everyone plays a role though. Notice after the shots fired. The cop checks on the jeeps passengers. But at first he simply yells in a very authoritarian voice. Yes he's in shock and has adrenaline. His intentions were good but if that civilian had chose to react poorly to his escalated actions (as alot of people these days) then it would've been worse.

I looked up the results of the DA’s investigation that was released on Jan 25 and there were no charges laid as it was determined to have been necessary use of force. After she was shot the gun was found in her hand with her finger around the trigger. Officer Adams said when she raised the gun, she had the charm held in her left hand. It appears as though it meant something at the time. Officer Adam’s had been on the Westminster police force for 27 years and was an incredibly experienced officer, having served in many responsibilities in the department. When I looked, there are many and speak to his abilities as a police officer, as well as a detective. Just thought whoever does check this video out would be interested in knowing.

Exactly! I think it was obvious he was in shock, and just ended up saying something about America-maybe that so many Americans are armed or that so many shootings happen here. Idk why the narrator made the comment about him saying “weird comments”. He’s only human and went into shock.
I absolutely believe this woman had a death wish. Couldn’t get herself to drive the wrong way into traffic, didn’t have the guts to shoot herself, so she elected to make some poor stranger shoot her. Infuriating.
My fiancé killed himself, so I’m not heartless when it comes to that issue. But if you won’t get help, don’t make someone else kill you.
